Big 12 /SEC Challenge , who you got ? • Jan 26, 2020 12:35 AM

Nice to see KSUCK losing, hope those clowns don’t win another game this year.

Richard Dale Barnes Game Thread • Jan 25, 2020 11:59 PM

@Woodrow would be hard to predict otherwise but who knows

Richard Dale Barnes Game Thread • Jan 25, 2020 11:23 PM

Positive thing about David is he really only misses 3 days with us playing Monday. That game is worrying me and I don’t think we can afford to lose it. On paper we caught a break with them being the last place team but they gave Baylor everything they wanted.

Richard Dale Barnes Game Thread • Jan 25, 2020 11:17 PM

@BShark hard to ask anymore from Doke. Even made more than 50% of his free ones.

Richard Dale Barnes Game Thread • Jan 25, 2020 11:16 PM

Doke was a monster, starters did fairly good outside of Moss. We flat out can’t have Moss, Braun and Tristan play like expecting to win.

Richard Dale Barnes Game Thread • Jan 25, 2020 11:10 PM

Not in our house!

Richard Dale Barnes Game Thread • Jan 25, 2020 11:04 PM

Stupid shot and stupid foul by Braun, just gave them 4 points of stupidity

Richard Dale Barnes Game Thread • Jan 25, 2020 10:55 PM

Free throws are killing us.

Richard Dale Barnes Game Thread • Jan 25, 2020 10:53 PM

Stupid play Moss

Richard Dale Barnes Game Thread • Jan 25, 2020 10:49 PM

Moss and Ochai were fouled especially when you look at the weak calls on the other end in the last 5 minutes

Richard Dale Barnes Game Thread • Jan 25, 2020 10:43 PM

The problem is Moss is a senior and hasn’t done a damn thing. I’d start Braun next week.

Richard Dale Barnes Game Thread • Jan 25, 2020 10:32 PM

Tennessee getting a couple favorable whistles here. Let’s run some offense here.

Richard Dale Barnes Game Thread • Jan 25, 2020 09:59 PM

Need Moss to hit something here

Richard Dale Barnes Game Thread • Jan 25, 2020 09:55 PM

Good half, just need to hit some open 3s and we can coast.

Richard Dale Barnes Game Thread • Jan 25, 2020 09:46 PM

Free throws an issue

Richard Dale Barnes Game Thread • Jan 25, 2020 09:44 PM

I’d take Doke out soon

Richard Dale Barnes Game Thread • Jan 25, 2020 09:42 PM

That’s a super hard foul, tough call either way.

Richard Dale Barnes Game Thread • Jan 25, 2020 09:30 PM

@DCHawker that’s a realistic goal imo

Richard Dale Barnes Game Thread • Jan 25, 2020 09:27 PM

This could get ugly without Doke on the floor

Richard Dale Barnes Game Thread • Jan 25, 2020 09:22 PM

Well this could get interesting šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™‚ļø

Ironic? Perfect Timing? How About Both • Jan 25, 2020 04:18 PM

@HighEliteMajor I agree that there is cultural problems in the inner cities but it’s not limited to one race. The rural communities are starting to see a huge meth problem. I went to 2A school in the middle of nowhere, I’ve literally seen farm kids do what you are talking about on the football field.

Tennessee Volunteers - Saturday - 3pm - ESPN • Jan 25, 2020 03:38 PM

@jayballer73 Wichita is too big for me. Wichita has some nice parts but also some very bad parts. Most bigger cities are that way, any place I could afford in Wichita, I’d have to stand guard with a shotgun 24/7 lol.

Ironic? Perfect Timing? How About Both • Jan 25, 2020 07:19 AM

I think this post is a little off base. Yes, I’d like to see more emotion from this team. That doesn’t translate to taunting, technical fouls and getting into fisticuffs. Silvio isn’t even from this country, we have idea how we grew up. I’ve lived in the inner cites and small town America, they share the trait of people having to man up if they run their mouths. Now it wasn’t the right time or place but best believe if 4 guys come running at me. I’m going to have a very violent reaction. In terms of staring down folks, its stupid and doesn’t belong on the court. That being said we have been stared down multiple times this year by Dook and Dayton. Everytime #1 made a shot for Dayton, he stared down our bench. It happens and usually doesn’t warrant bench players charging the culprit. Larry Bird did plenty of trash talking and was involved in numerous scuffles in his playing days. He was raised in small town Indiana.

Tennessee Volunteers - Saturday - 3pm - ESPN • Jan 24, 2020 07:40 PM

@DanR a Small town of 600 people in central Kansas.

Best movies with a lot of snow in them? • Jan 24, 2020 07:34 PM

@dylans we used to run around in HS and hit right on the bone to the inside of our arms, trying to give each other dead arms as we called it daily. We didn’t have any bullies we all just messed with each other. It was a lot of fun.

Best movies with a lot of snow in them? • Jan 24, 2020 07:10 PM

@nuleafjhawk a football town Barrow, Alaska is an ok documentary about trying to play football at the northernmost city in the states.

That’s a really small amount of weed, the weapons charge will be what gets him. Nothing to do with basketballs issue or even Les Miles. Beaty as previously stated would hide this and let it go. He has been a let down IMO anyway. Wash hands and done.

Best movies with a lot of snow in them? • Jan 24, 2020 06:54 PM

Frozen 🤮, one of my least favorite Disney movies that my kids watch on repeat. Four Brothers has snow it, it’s good. Mystery Alaska is good snow/sports movie.

Tennessee Volunteers - Saturday - 3pm - ESPN • Jan 24, 2020 06:46 PM

@Crimsonorblue22 I’ve never liked Hutch or had any good experiences with the people there, 3/4s of the people I see in that don’t have any teeth and look like they are on meth. Took my kid to a park there once and found syringes laying around. One of my coworkers is from their and doesn’t have anything good to say about it either. That doesn’t mean there ain’t good people there, just a place I’d never consider living along with Manhattan and Wichita. We don’t have to take everything to an extreme, plenty of people may not enjoy where I live and that’s fine. We have a right to our opinion, most people’s vary.

Big 12 Suspensions • Jan 24, 2020 03:12 PM

@dylans Imagine that, lol

Tennessee Volunteers - Saturday - 3pm - ESPN • Jan 24, 2020 03:02 AM

@DanR It’s actually very strange to me how not friendly or even flat out rude people are when I north or east. People in Kansas are generally pretty nice even in the worst cities like Hutchinson or Manhattan lol.

Tennessee Volunteers - Saturday - 3pm - ESPN • Jan 24, 2020 02:17 AM

@DanR Cool, I drove thru there once upon a time. Beautiful country side, very strange people and not near as nice as people from the Midwest.

Big 12 Suspensions • Jan 24, 2020 02:14 AM

@Hawk8086 I read some stuff on Bring on the Cats and got some laughs. Apparently because Weber told them to back off in the final seconds, according to Bruce himself. They get a pass for pressing and fouling hard the last TWO MINUTES, NOT SECONDS. Also apparently Silivio threw the chair at a KSU player according to them and for some reason no one mentioned Love actually starting the physical fight. Also Bruce wasn’t at mid court like he claimed apparently he was in the middle pulling guys out like Self and Co, their are just very sneaky lol.

Let me just say this about things • Jan 24, 2020 02:09 AM

@Crimsonorblue22 Higgins had chance to stop it before it happened. He just stood and watched.

Big 12 Suspensions • Jan 24, 2020 02:06 AM

@HighEliteMajor not all but most, especially the pissed off 18 year olds just outta basic. I have a friend that’s a county sheriffs deputy up there and he says the crime over doubles when that place is full.

Big 12 Suspensions • Jan 24, 2020 01:20 AM

I’d bet large sums of money if by chance they beat us in that shit hole there is a fight between their fans and our players.

Big 12 Suspensions • Jan 23, 2020 11:38 PM

@rockchalkwyo @FarmerJayhawk Aggieville is trash if you ask me, too many idiots especially if anything is going on out at fort Riley. Hundreds of army dudes that want to get hammered and start fights. I’m lucky I’m just big enough at 6’2 230 (I’m getting fat lol) not a ton people looking for trouble come my way.

Big 12 Suspensions • Jan 23, 2020 09:43 PM

@rockchalkwyo I have a friend that was jumped at a game in Methattan. It was about 15 years ago when they were still really bad. Place was 3/4s empty after a convincing KU win and my buddy was attacked in the bathroom. He’s a very quiet and I’ve never seen him get too fired up at anything including a KU game. So it ls hard for me to believe it was anything but random meth heads.

Big 12 Suspensions • Jan 23, 2020 09:33 PM

@HighEliteMajor Its really not surprising they haven’t released anything. Same administration and fan base that doesn’t take ownership of any loss, it’s always someone cheated or the refs. I’d be shocked if in their eyes they believe they did any wrong. I’ve been involved with basketball for over 25 years as I’ve never seen a team call off the dogs with two minutes to go, put in multiple walk ons and get the hell fouled outta them, full court pressed with starters still in.

Big 12 Suspensions • Jan 23, 2020 09:26 PM

@benshawks08 The KSU fans are without question over the line, chanting F bombs on national TV so I have to mute it. The group that dressed up as monkeys and threw bananas at the court when we first started playing African Americans. When I was in highschool they got in trouble for hang chickens from the rafters by their neck and sacrificing chickens in the parking lot pregame. Not to mention spitting and throwing stuff at our players, assaulting a player after the game. What else can they do besides bring in a gun??

I can see some issues with some of theses guys. It’s not a high number percentage wise. I touched base on student athletes getting much longer leashes in these college towns while discussing Bragg and Hernandez. Some programs have to answer these questions and some don’t. I talked about Urban Meyer getting a complete pass outta all the crap he let happen at Florida, which was a much higher percentage. Lawrence isn’t hiding stuff and letting these guys get away with much and I agree with it. You have to face consequences for your actions. The other side the coin is that you will always get a bad apple or two. No school is immune to this, KSU had a guy involved in a drive by and it was hidden til the season was over a couple of years ago, even tho he was a suspect and questioned several times in season.

Make Love, Not War! • Jan 23, 2020 12:44 AM

@drgnslayr win the game should always be enough in terms of trash talk, etc. we have to be the bigger men and walk away. KSU has nothing to lose, they ain’t playing in March in the NCAAs or the NIT. I’d bet money Love doesn’t come off the bench like that if they was ranked and wasn’t going to lose most of their games. Peace is always better than war but sometime war is necessary. ā€œSpeak softly but carry a big stickā€- Ted Roosevelt or in SDS case a chair lmao.

Big 12 Suspensions • Jan 23, 2020 12:36 AM

@jayballer73 that pretty funny to me, hurt and can’t play but can start a fight 🤣 can you say clown??

Liberace Game Thread • Jan 22, 2020 11:25 PM

Interesting because more than 2 wildcats threw punches from I saw and I didn’t see David hit anyone. I thought he may have a game but damn.

Liberace Game Thread • Jan 22, 2020 10:44 PM

The media is east coast bias and always will be, remember Graysons indefinite suspension for one game šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

Liberace Game Thread • Jan 22, 2020 02:14 PM

@mayjay exactly, that why’s I think it was outta character.

Liberace Game Thread • Jan 22, 2020 05:43 AM

@cragarhawk the Bulk of the blame is on the guy that runs in and starts swinging, which in this case was a KSU guy. If it was reversed I’d say it was the KU that ran in and turned it into a physical altercation. You of all people know how pissed I’d get at the Morris twins for similar actions repeatedly. This is the first I’ve seen Silvio pull like this. It was outta line but he didn’t lay a hand on anyone first. Which doesn’t make it right but also really isn’t that big of a deal, if ether team just would’ve let it roll.

Liberace Game Thread • Jan 22, 2020 05:11 AM

@benshawks08 a controlled response would’ve helped from KSUs coaching staff instead of having starters still in that late and fouling hard. A controlled response by the KSU player by not stealing it, a controlled response from the bench player charging and hitting Silvio would’ve helped. Plenty of folks played a hand in it but KSU started it with a bush league play, end of story.

Liberace Game Thread • Jan 22, 2020 04:55 AM

@bskeet yep @Texas-Hawk-10 said he claimed to have pulled them off but this wasn’t the last few seconds and the steal, it was the whole time our walk ons were in. They still had starters in, Weber’s stupidity is definitely in play here.
