I’m not a huge chiefs fan but I’ve enjoyed watching the past few seasons and am happy to see Reid finally get one. It will be interesting to see if Mahomes takes the Rodgers/Brees approach of a max contract thus hurting the rest of the roster or takes a Brady approach to help sign other stars. It’s pretty cool that in my life time now KU, Royals and the chiefs all have championships. I feel like that’s a fairly rare feat. But success always leaves everyone hungry for more! Congratulations to the Red Kingdom and all chiefs fans!!

@Texas-Hawk-10 Ya I think it’s time for a new women’s basketball coach and a new baseball coach. Price is only still here because he is well respected and liked by boosters. I think Long was focused on football and the new softball coach. I see the hammer coming down this season. I truly don’t believe Beaty helped in any way shape or form but he didn’t do anything negative I suppose.

@BShark I would agree with that, I think Mitch did start a few games last season with Ochai but this isn’t due to injury and the both probably start the rest of this season and all of next.

Not having Doke for several stretches and them shooting well above average from 3 was the issue defensively. Ochai had a couple of bad TOs for sure but as whole we have valued the ball much better in this win streak. It has helped on both ends because we aren’t giving up as many run outs for dunks and layups. A month ago we were averaging a turnover on 20% of our possessions and it killed us in our 3 loses. Continuing to improve in that area and getting some consistency from shooters is a big key in what this team will be able to achieve.

I suppose it would depend on how we describe local, Mitch was born here but went to highschool in Arizona. Danny was only here for his senior year of highschool.

I personally didn’t think Braun would play a ton of meaningful minutes this season. I thought he’d be the odd man out of him, Tristan and Jalen, I was wrong. He is growing up before our eyes and really starting to figure it out. It really starts will his hustle, he seems to steal a possession or two every game by hustling after a lose ball or rebound. He also is proving himself to be one of the best shooters on the team (43% from 3). I think it’s great having two locals in the starting lineup and wonder how long it has been since that happened? Braun seems to be the guy that Dook always gets, a Allen or Redick type. Damn I’m glad he’s a JAYHAWK!! Keep up the work young fella!!

How good is Baylor?? I really thought 3 was the magic number of losses that would win the conference. That number maybe 2 or even 1 at this point. We can ill afford a loss at this point. I realize we are one game short of half way but KU and Baylor look so much better than the rest of conference right now. I also realize we only won by 3 today but I still think the laughable call on Dot made it a one possession game instead of likely a 8 point win.

KSUCK loss, Marsha loss, Kensucky loss, Nova loss and UNC loss all while KU gets another W, damn fine day only missed on a Dook loss.

I’m wondering if we should try to sit Garrett for the Texas game Monday?

It’s a good sign that we won against a solid team with Doke having one of his worst games in a KU Jersey. A game we probably lose in the past.

A bunch of girls walk into a bar calling each other B****, it’s all laughs. Until someone else from the bar calls one of them that name, then there is a fight. Same story with a bunch of guys saying the N word.

@BeddieKU23 I should’ve worded it better, they have some young guys that will be good like Likekele, Anei and Harris I think will be good players in a year or two. Their seniors like Mcgriff and Waters haven’t really seemed to improve much over the years so who’s knows for sure.

Ya I could see a lawsuit coming for sure. I’m not blaming anyone but I’m not sure I would’ve granted him permission if every other helicopter was grounded and if I’m Kobe with my daughter, other children aboard. I’m not taking a risk in that situation.

I still have no problem with any actions by anyone in a KU Jersey outside of the stool grabbing. We can argue all night about if staring a guy down is right or wrong given the situation I’d done the same. I yelled “Get out bih” when he blocked it. People get stared down all the damn time in this sport and it doesn’t lead to a bench clearing brawl. Heck OSU did it tonight after a late dunk. Heard from multiple people at the game Love talking trash all night from the bench looking for trouble before and during the game. He saw a window to up the drama and did. I suppose you have to do something to keep the season entertaining playing on a sorry a team like that. I’m wondering how many hundreds of thousands of times ESPN has shown the highlight of Allen Iverson staring down Lue and stepping over him like it was something spectacular.

Only way Self leaves anytime soon is the school gets hit with major sanctions and he resigns or he retires after winning another National title.

@dylans I’m glad they moved. There is a lot people in my area that are highly thought of but some of the worst imaginable behind closed doors. I’d like to think the universe work some of that out but I’m not so sure anymore. I’ve always told myself there will come a time when I can even things out. I won’t spend a lot of time thinking of it til then. I wouldn’t recommend letting people live in your mind rent free, that’s how they win. You probably handled that situation much better than me. I’ve calmed down a bit since I had kids but I used to be on a lotta call lists for when the shit hits the fan and I’d be the one smiling ear to ear when it happened. The beast inside of me is asleep and I sure hope he stays there. If I was in your situation I would’ve put up cameras showing them doing that and of me repeatedly telling them he was allergic. He may own every judge in that town but once it hit the web, he’d be in trouble.

@approxinfinity my disgust with Fran went down considerably after he said that Love for KSU showed more effort in that brawl than his previous 3 years in Methattan.

@FarmerJayhawk I honestly think Self has known that he would be at a 4 guard lineup by the end of the year after about 3 games. But he was seeing whom out of Braun, Moss and Tristan was going to emerge and not giving them the spot til it was earned, we have played more with 4 guards tho we usually started 3.

Crazy to think of how much of massacre this game could’ve been had we not fell a sleep in the first half for the final 8 minutes going scoreless in almost 6 of those and just hanging out the last 4 minutes. May have an 80 to 45 type deal.

I think If Jalen plays it will be Saturday, any later than that, I see very little shot of him cracking the rotation. I’d say his odds are super slim anyway with how Braun has played the last month.

Both Tristan and Jalen will be very good, it may not be til their juniors. I personally think we have a chance to be better next season.

I’m gonna be pissed if Braun doesn’t start the rest of the year, the kid has earned it.

Hopefully Self reminded our guys of how lucky they are. There are few schools that can pull off this feat. I watch a ton CBB games and even in our conference the places are half full it seems when we aren’t in them.
