@colohawks Obviously that game will be moved to ESPN news or the ESPN app. We saw the treatment Saturday with them refusing to leave a blowout for us but moving us in a blowout.
@JayhawksandChill haha I like what you did there. I can always handle a guy not shooting well but you have to do the little things first. Grimes only averaging 2 rebounds at his size is a travesty. Charlie can be a good passer, he just needs to look for guys when he is off, which has been every game but 2.
I'm really not a fan of the NET rankings. I think it will take us winning both the conference titles to get a 2 seed. If we dont win either we could looking at a 5 seed. The last time we were lower than a 4 seed was 2000 (8 seed) with a bunch of freshman like Collison, Hinrich and Gooden. Maybe if we end up a 3-5 we can play with less pressure. No one is really talking about us beyond the sweet 16 outside of Fran of all people lol.

@nuleafjhawk That's the perfect response to KSU lol. Mainly because they never lose on their own accord, the refs or someone screws them everytime. When KU beats KSU in football or basketball I always post on Facebook how we've never won without them playing the blame game and it's a 100% true.

@bmensch1 It has been a really rough year and it has made me question if I should ever watch college athletics again. I don’t watch much professional sports because I believe it to be fixed. I feel like college basketball and football are broken and broken badly, I have my doubts they’ll ever get repaired. It’s like world gets a little worse every year.

@Fightsongwriter I don't really think anyone is crossing any lines. Even those of us that weren't big fans of his are wishing him well. I didn't find most of his stuff useful and dont think he had much knowledge of the game itself. But it dont mean I wish him harm or have any ill will towards him. God speed to him if he has scumed to illness but I'm not changing my opinion on him because of it. I've never understood that, like when Michael Jackson died and people forgot about the pedophilia he was involved in. How many families did he settle outta court with? And the evidence that he wrote multiple others checks regularly to keep them from talking. I'm not changing my opinion on people when they are gone.

@BeddieKU23 Agreed, to be honest I'm more worried about getting swept by KSU than the B12. I want to win it but it looks like last years is getting vacated so lets just make sure we don't let the Mildcats sweeps us. They would be talking about for at least the rest of our lifetimes my even our children's.
Hopeful KSU will stumble again this week and that we beat them next monday. TCU could give ISU trouble Saturday but I'm not sure how many guys TCU will have out again. There is a chance that we could still tie for the title with a loss on Saturday but I'd say no way we win it out right without winning out at this point. Obviously that last match up between ISU and TT will be a big game in who gets a share.
@HighEliteMajor I think he left because of the FBI scandal but I'm not sure. I personally wasn't a fan of most of his last several posts, paragraphs and paragraphs of absolutely nothing. He made Bshark mad because he had like 6 or 7 new posts on the same exact topic, that was solid garage at best. I wouldn't anyone to leave and he had his funny moments but some his last post on here made me concerned about his mental state if I'm being honest, hopefully he's doing well.
@wrwlumpy One of my favorite movies. It's spot on tho and it's prob been happening in college athletics long before I was born. Anything corporations are involved with is dirty, that's just the way it is, to many with too much money not caring as long as what they want is achieved.

I really like what this team could be next season. Dotson is already arguably the best PG in this conference, Doke if he returns is the best true 5 man in this conference and Ochai could be the best 3 man if he has a good offseason. I hope KJ stays with the way he has shown he can contribute. Grimes could be a solid player if he puts in the work.

@approxinfinity I don't get the whole he can't play without the ball thing. He was recruited as a SG, he is listed on every site as an SG that I can find. I just watched some of his HS film, he played off the ball a plenty, he wasn't their primary ball handler from what I've seen. His story on everything I read was streaky shot and lack of effort were his main issues and there both very evident at this time. I think he just he isn't near the athlete it looked like in HS. I realize was good for the USA team deal in the summer but the competition in that was mostly laughable. Most high level high school wouldn't have had trouble with more than 1 or 2 teams in that. Kinda like us kicking butt in Korea all but 2 games against Pros.
@KUSTEVE Garrett is better in every category besides 3 point shooting %. After today I think KJ may have a better 3 point % and he is better per minutes than Grimes by a lot. They both aren't great on defense lol. I'd say regardless of if Grimes starts or not he shouldn't be playing more than 15 minutes a game.
@Kcmatt7 Maybe Adidas gave him a big check and we have to keep him quiet. Sadly that's one of few logical explanations but at this point he could be the most overrated recruit we have ever had, people forget he was #8 in the country. To that in perspective Dotson was #20 and Ochai was a whopping #145. This is why I laugh when people say NBA draft this season for him. He's maybe, maybe the 6th best player on this team.
@HighEliteMajor It is very interesting that Self has pretty much said he's starting and that's that. Everyone says its for recruiting, which is silly to me, lets show guys you can be crap with no consequences. I worry that some of the other guys that have shown up for more than 1 game are starting to get mad. IMO Garrett should start ahead of Grimes when he is able to go. I really don't want to go back to a 4 guard line up at this point so hopefully self doesn't take Dave out of the line up. I'd rather Garrett come off the bench than that.
@Texas-Hawk-10 Very true, he's been more engaged but still has several things to work on. Hopefully Garrett is able to practice in a day or two and this group has a good week going into Saturday.
I'm really starting to like this David/Mitch combo at the 5. I've been one of the guys screaming for Dave to get more minutes all season and think we are seeing it start to it pay off. He had some TOs again today but to me looks more comfortable every game he's in. Nice to see Dedric didn't have to carry us for once but still had a solid game.
@BShark Grimes has seemed way more engaged here lately, he just isn't hitting shots. He was 0-4 from distance and 3 had no one with in 5 feet of him. I'm still sticking with my thoughts earlier in the year that he maybe the key to our season. He has to be this years Newman for us to make any type of run IMO. I don't wanna harp on him to bad as I said I think he's more in the game just needs to hit shots and stop with the TOs (lead team with 4 today).
