@JayHawkFanToo Nuke 'em 'til they glow!!!
@JayHawkFanToo 3 pt Bombs!
@Crimsonorblue22 Absolutely! My post had a link that disappeared. Was to Juan Marichal's fight with Johnny Roseboro. I meant no disrespect. I loved them both and saw so much of JM in Yordano!

Same body, same pitching motion and lots of strike outs. Juan was his hero.
Same temper, too!

If Shaka were smart, he would keep keep it a 65-55 game with no banging.
The whole premise of this thread is wrong. If Shaka were able to ensure he could keep it to a 10 pt loss by taking it easy, he would be able to try hard and ensure his own team would win.

The Sixers May Finally Be a Real NBA Team Again -- Wall Street Journal
EDIT: Link removed because it requires login. Summary below.
7-1. I believe in a team that has the ability to take a lead and since the opener knows how to avoid losing. Lopsided victories are scarier to me than close games. Close games give us a strong sense of how the team performs under pressure, important in March!
@ParisHawk And why is that here?
@ParisHawk C'mon now, this site has been good... No need to provoke!
@wissox ESPN game story says it was a bruise. He was the first player off the bench to congrat Covington for the game-winner. Sounds ok.
Whew!
@drgnslayr They just indicted another one. I think a few have pled guilty already. Not sure of this.

Switch to any recent VW vehicle. All the mpg info is carefully encrypted by a special device code-named "FALSIFIER". Then your data will be safe, unknown even to you.
@drgnslayr Ask the NSA. They know..... And your credit card company probably has some algorithm that can conclude what you likely ate.
Just about 60 % of the Div 1 teams in the country are in the Eastern Time Zone, so that is always the most likely zone to be overrepresented. And a disproportionate number of Central Time Zone schools are agricultural schools in relatively rural areas that tend not to attract huge numbers of the urban demography who want to become bb and media sensations, and most of those schools are not heard of come tourney time. Third, more (obviously, not all, so don't go all batsh-- on me!) of the longest-established bb leagues and schools are in the E than anywhere else. Finally, although the US population center is in the Central Time Zone (Missouri), the greatest concentration is in the Eastern Time Zone. Media concentration there reflects that.
Engineering? Probably not. Some statistical quirks, but likely also the result of the fact that kids will want to go to schools getting exposure--how many kids stay up late to watch WAC games, or even PAC12?. Some here believe no recruit makes up his own mind, but that is silly. All IMHO, of course!
@Lulufulu Musket-proof?
@JayHawkFanToo Damned good thing or I am not ever climbing to a second story, or going across a bridge....
@Lulufulu Autohawk asked for weather help. What is the big deal?
@wissox Shorts on backwards!
@autohawk Sample screen for the website:
@JayHawkFanToo Clearly you don't understand the narcotic power of believing in engineering!
@autohawk By the way, Colorado is pretty big. Where ya goin'?
@autohawk Accuweather.com, checking your destinations. Or add the widget to your Android phone if you have one (I have Galaxy S5), add the cities you are going to, and you can switch between them by sliding down on the widget. Gives you instant 5 day projection. Going to the web site (you can do so at the bottom of the screen in the widget) gives you choices of hourly, 3 day or extended forecasts. You can also get radar.
@wissox They call 8 pm "Maui midnight" and go to bed early in this household. So I wake up after my usual 6 and 1/2 hours and start to catch up on all you crazy Rats!

@wissox I am horribly offended by this! That, and laughing my a-- off!
From ESPN Web site:
PHILADELPHIA -- Joel Embiid cupped both ears, imploring fans to cheer even louder, and flashed a wide smile as he soaked in the "MVP" and "Trust The Process" chants.
With Embiid leading the way, the Philadelphia 76ers are no longer the laughingstock of the NBA.
Embiid scored 26 points, Ersan Ilyasova added 18 and the resurgent Sixers beat the Toronto Raptors 94-89 on Wednesday night for their seventh win in nine games.
"I'm trying to change the culture and I like to get the fans into it," Embiid said. "I play better when the fans are chanting and cheering for us. That's what I love. The fans have been great."
Embiid, who was questionable because of the flu, surpassed 20 points in fewer than 30 minutes in his 10th straight game.
The Sixers are only 14-26, but they have rejuvenated a city that has patiently waited for a winner through three miserable seasons.
"The fans are fantastic," coach Brett Brown said. "We're all starving for success, some good feelings, some wins. And then to feel it, it's addictive. These fans deserve it. They're dying for us to get this right."
DeMar DeRozan scored 25 for the Atlantic Division-leading Raptors, and Kyle Lowry had 24 points.
After DeRozan gave Toronto an 86-85 lead, Embiid made a tying free throw. Embiid then grabbed a rebound after DeRozan missed a jumper and T.J. McConnell's layup put Philadelphia ahead 88-86 with 1:09 left. Cory Joseph missed a 3-pointer on Toronto's ensuing possession and McConnell sank a pair of free throws.
Embiid then blocked Lowry's shot and sent fans into a frenzy.
Coming off a 36-point performance in a win at Brooklyn a night earlier, DeRozan missed his first six shots but finished strong with 14 points in the fourth quarter.
"We didn't play physical enough." Lowry said. "They played with passion and energy. That's one thing they got us on."
Embiid put all his skills on display on consecutive possessions early in the fourth quarter. He threw down a thunderous slam off a pass from Sergio Rodriguez and then nailed a 3-pointer from the top of the circle, earning a rousing ovation. Embiid opened his arms wide and raised them high in the air as fans went wild.
@BShark John Douglas was a JUCO, I believe. Only 40 years and 3 coaches prior to Bill.....
"His 46 points on the road against Iowa State in 1978 broke the legendary Wilt Chamberlain's record for most points scored by a visiting player in the Big Eight Conference. John went on to earn All Big Eight Honors, Honorable Mention All American, Newcomer of the Year and MVP at KU." (Wikipedia)
@jaybate-1.0 In another thread, someone noted that he scored 16 and boarded 9 in his latest Euroleague game.

Questionable editing. Not sure what the agenda would be... But, as a complete work, it is definitely not a faithful representation of the game.
I didn't listen to the audio, but watching it without sound it looked like the theme would have been how ISU capitalized on our turnovers to stay close--an upset possibility is always big news--, but KU prevailed in the end.
Everyone needs to stop being so paranoid! I have seen many reports in all sports doing the same thing, including one where the only Chief's score shown (of 3) was a last second game-winning field goal, after showing two TDs by the other team to tie.
@jaybate-1.0 There are no other corrective measures for a mandatory sentence. Presidential action is the only out.

@Crimsonorblue22 100 thumbs up!
@wissox I will always find a way to watch KU basketball!
Yep, vacation to see the kids and grandkids who moved here in November. Nice to see a big welcome sign at the airport. Tomorrow, whale watching boat. Saturday, beach. Luau Sunday. Rough life!
@Lulufulu It was nice of President Obama not to hold the resentments of his two busted brackets against Jam Tray's dad.
@wissox I am in Hawaii, so if it is on here it will be 9 a.m. Weird time for bb!
@BShark Mario Little?
@JayHawkFanToo Ah, I thought it was just a question about the runover issue! The tech difficulties issue is really annoying, indeed.
@drgnslayr WatchESPN app has the game when it starts.
@Crimsonorblue22 That is merely a boorish expression of their fantasy in recognition of the fine specimens of beauty and hunkness attending KU.
Maybe we just have really poor focus when there is a big winter storm, like in Morgantown last year.
Is the OSU center good from outside? Why are their wings able to keep blowing by LL on the way to the basket after the big guy pulls him out to the circle?
@chriz said:
I wonder what his season +/- is. He was +23 tonight. Impressive.
He is actually only at plus 35 for the season as a whole. For perspective, the top 6 are Curry, Thompson, Durant, Green, Paul, and LJames. The first 3 are over 400 (Curry 490), the next are over 300.
Joel's +/- reflects primarily how bad his team has been for the whole season. The team is tied for 28th in the league at -6 points per game. All those losses add up. When the wins continue, the plus side will grow.
I am assuming from a casual reading of this thread that Tevin Mack is a really old tenured professor whose left or right wing coven sang violent songs in 1928 while overthrowing something called "The Why Me? Republic?", an act for which he has finally been suspended or perhaps shot by the WVU Mountaineer.
@brooksmd Well, heck, the whole team pretty much killed a bunch of Bears just this week! No reprimands for them!
@jaybate-1.0 They just get to call each other their girlfriends, which causes no heartburn. Guys saying boyfriends run into assumptions. BFFs, all!
@Crimsonorblue22 I certainly did!

Do you get Scotch when you distill it?
@drgnslayr Well, CF did go here! Not Bill's fault that CF never cut it as either a pg or a shooter. And, he would have needed a major bromance with Dad, too, which HCBS does not always do when the other ego is bigger than his own (see Henry, Carl)........
@jaybate-1.0 Well, Shaka was in Richmond while Coleman was in Norfolk, some 90 miles east. How many elite PGs from Kansas schools near KU has Bill had a chance to bring under his spell?
@kjayhawks A discerning eye for detail in the background. Did @wrwlumpy know that is Oregon State not Oklahoma State? He just went for the foreground, and I am okay with that!
