I'll admit my ignorance here. I have no idea what the NCAA's reason for existence is. None. It seems to me as though it's just to upset college fans and universities in all sports, but mostly basketball. I'm not being facetious, I'm really this dumb.
Why can't we secede from the NCAA and play basketball without their approval?
@rockchalkwyo At this point, I feel that if we had Wilt, LeBron, Kevin Durant and Superman and set them all out - the NCAA would still snub us.
I've always hated the "whoa is me, why is everybody always picking on me?" attitude, but that's sure what is happening here.

If KU is "innocent", then we need to fight to protect that. I see it playing out in court something like this:
NCAA Weasel: We use words like "honor," "code," "loyalty." We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending something. You use them as a punch line.
I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very freedom that I provide and then questions the manner in which I provide it.
I would rather that you just said "thank you" and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a weapon and stand the post. Either way, I don't give a DAMN what you think you're entitled to!

If Self is fired over this - I'm checking out. I will have watched my last college basketball game ever. I can do it - I quit a 3 pack a day cigarette habit cold turkey. I quit a case of beer per night (plus other assorted goodies) - cold turkey. When I set my mind to something - it's done. I've been less and less enamored with college basketball the past several years and this would be the proverbial straw that broke the camel's back. I hope it's not the case - but I'm right there on the edge.
@Woodrow We can't get him. If we do, the NCAA would have a noose around Miles' neck immediately because the only way good football players would come to KU is if there is "inappropriate" hi-jinks going on.

He could make just as much or more money, not have to deal with the commies and mommies.
@justanotherfan I was as inspired by the BC win as i've been in a long time. BUT - BC is not Oklahoma, Texas, Oklahoma State and maybe even (puking a little bit here) K-State. If we can remain competitive in those game, I will be looking at season tickets for next year.
But, the two losses, close as they were, were in my opinion BAD losses. Those should have been two that all Kansas fans had picked as W's.

No score in the 2nd half of the Raiders game and outscored 22-10 (and it should have been more) of yesterday's game.
I'm a big Chief's fan, but I'm also a realist. Right now, they don't look very good to me. Jayballer73 said he thought the Packers were unimpressive at 3-0. I feel like we're giving them a run for their money.

@FarmerJayhawk I rarely complain about the officiating - yesterday was an exception. It sucked. The pass/fumble you refer to, the helmet to helmet that wasn't reviewed, 2or 3 more really bad calls or no calls. All that and we still had a chance.
