Yeah, the super bowl rematch is dumb. I am an old fart as well, I was watching the game with my dad and uncles. I was eight years old and i LOVED the Packers. I remember getting thrown out in the snow when the Chiefs lost.
Anyway, I got over it and and am now a full blown Chiefs fan.

@drgnslayr I switched to YouTube tv a couple of months ago and I LOVE IT! We also got a Roku streaming stick - I get so many channels now, I'll never be able to watch them all. Highly recommend this combination. Oh yeah, added Espn+ for 5 bucks per month - I'm set. One of the happy days of my life when I handed Cox all their stuff back. (Well, kept their internet for time being, until I find a suitable plan B)

@FarmerJayhawk I'm not sure what I expected with Les Miles. I'm really glad I've been watching the "Miles to Go" series though. I really like this guy a lot. He's much different that what I had anticipated, very low key and a family man. Yeah, I know we've still got the same crappy record as most of the other coaches have started with (ballpark) but I feel a change in atmosphere. I think this guy might get us there.

My dad lives just west of Austin and he said the media (and fans) are losing their minds. They're calling for Hermans' head (or at least his job) for letting "a team like KU" almost beat them at home.(Gasp!)

Honestly, the way they're (not) playing right now - i don't see another win on the horizon. If Mahomes gets healthy, the Chiefs offense still won't be able to overcome the many defensive liabilities.

Some organizations don't want to be bought out. You ever hear of any NAIA scandals or corruption? Me neither. SO how bout a couple hundred NCAA schools skip town and join the NAIA? Then THEY could buy out the NCAA.

@jayballer73 Your points are good. But it IS a little different than working a regular job and going somewhere else. The difference? - nobody cares about you and I working our jobs at the office, or the garbage truck or whatever it is that we do. Nobody.
But everybody cares about the stars of their favorite sports teams. I know you're a Packers fan. If Aaron Rodgers says tomorrow - "You know what? Screw Green Bay. It's too cold here. I'm moving to Miami. Big bucks, beautiful babes, warm weather - suck it Green Bay".
In most Packers fans minds he goes from being the "Savior" to the worlds biggest A-hole. It's just part of sports and the way fans perceive the stars. In my opinion.

@dylans Absolutley - i'm right there with you. I've always been a Chief's fan and so far nobody's screwed that up, but I really don't give a crap about college football any more (cuz I'm a KU fan.....sorrry) and I'm definitely not excited about basketball any more. I'll watch it, but i won't do it at the expense of missing out on other things if they come along. Like fishing, playing cards, mowing the yard, shoveling the drive, taking a nap.
You know what's the great thing about this NCAA investigation crap? It keeps us occupied to the point that we aren't talking about the 82-3 pasting that's coming this weekend.
I'm so through with all this political crap - I don't even watch the news because I can't stand politics (all bad), news (all bad), weather - 90% bad with a 50% chance of intermittent good (i know the math doesn't work out - that's true weather math) and now sports. Used to be you could watch sports and be entertained. See some great games, watch some incredible highlights - now it's just all CRAP.
My boat and fishing poles will be getting a much greater workout in the years to come.

This whole NCAA thing is bad on about every level, but where does it hit home the most for you?
For me - well, I work with a whole office full of K-State fans......
