@KirkIsMyHinrich Is that cleverly disguised sarcasm, or are you really the only person on the planet that likes his haircut?
BTW, I also would like to see a LOT more of Mitch on the court. He brings energy, enthusiasm and defense. And bad hair.

@dylans As long as we keep winning.....
I wonder if 5 years from now we'll all be sitting at Memorial Stadium reminiscing about when we had a good basketball team
@BeddieKU23 I think Bill lost a bet
@BeddieKU23 She can shoot better than anyone on the court....
Load em up on the bus at halftime Bill and get em to the airport.
If we don't win, we'll lose.
@wissox Yeah.
I have KU going all the way too.
@DanR If K-State wins the first game, that's my nightmare.
@tundrahok Nike is richer than Adidas so heads turned the other way
@BShark Oh yeah, I forgot about the overseas option. Thanks!
@BShark Your "Grimes, if back" statement caught my eye.
Are you thinking of a transfer? Surely nobody in the NBA could look at any of his games (except maybe two) and think "We got to get this kid into our NBA lineup".
@Kcmatt7 "I mean there are just so many dang signs that point to pretty much no D1 basketball program being truly clean"
Truer words were never spoken.
I've heard that Dean Wade's family received 100 head of cattle to land him at K-State.... Ya just never know.
@bmensch1 DUDE!
I was feeling all encouraged and stoked until you brought that Roy Williams quote up............
@BeddieKU23 I think you should change the name of this post to your first sentence: R.I.P. RPI.
That's catchy.
@Crimsonorblue22 YES!!
I'm at work and got busy, but the 4 year thing was going to be one of my main points. Thank you.
@kjayhawks The best is all pretty subjective. For me, Wilt was the best ever - EVER.
But, Danny was one of the best at KU for several reasons:
He was a great scorer.
He was a great rebounder.
He was a very good free throw shooter.
He was a good passer.
He had a great attitude.
He was smart.
@wissox Can you imagine what it would have been like if they had ESPN and he played for DUKE ????
@HighEliteMajor I totally agree. If we had those guys (maybe even without De sousa) we have #15 in hand, we're a #1 seed - probably THE number one seed and we're all making travel plans to Minnesota.
@kjayhawks I don't know how old you are, but KU used to have a fairly decent guy named Danny Manning.
@BeddieKU23 "We could beat Duke without Zion"
Says every team in the country. Lol.
No big deal. We've lost almost every other good player on the team, what's one more?
Throw in Mahomes for good measure and we'll REALLY show them how to make nothing out of nothing next year.
@jayballer73 I searched Yahoo Sports and came up with zip.
@Crimsonorblue22 Why? Would you hate his guts like I did Roy's for a few years until I grew up. Mostly.
@BShark If that's true, would that be worse than when Roy left?
As long as we don't fall to a #6 seed. There is no way possible in the universe that a team could win the National Championship going into the tournament as a #6 seed.
@Kcmatt7 I'm not an NFL expert by any stretch of the imagination, but I don't see Houston and Ford as part of the defensive liabilities. They were about the only bright spots on that dismal defense.
Can KU beat Tech and K State in KC?
So, sometimes I'm a little slow to the party. It just dawned on me that I really read a statement asking if KANSAS can beat Texas Tech and K-State. What the what??? What in the wide, wide world of sports is a goin on here?
Can we sue Beaty for taking a terrible team and making them worse? For embarrassing the players, the fans, the University, the State of Kansas and individuals across the world who once loved football but now convulse at the sound of a whistle and the smell of leather?
I believe we can and we should.
@HighEliteMajor Actually, I should apologize. I can see where most people (almost everyone) would interpret that negatively. So - I'll try to be more careful wording my frustrations.
@HighEliteMajor I don't take things as seriously as a lot of folks on here - i was just mostly vomiting words. It made me feel better. Have a nice day.
@dylans The poverty-stricken, broke down version wasn't bad either.
The truth is, we have to find a way to justify not winning our 15th consecutive Big 12 Championship and Vick is as good a scapegoat as any. On any given night, he could make the oppositions best defender look like a buffoon, or he could walk on the court and act like he's never seen a basketball before. He was poison and he was elixir, always on separate occasions.
All the Doke, DeSousa talk, the lack of experience - it's all mumbo jumbo. Let's just blame it all on Vick and look forward to football season.

Did you really come up with that? That's GOOD stuff man!
That's like T-shirt or banner material there.
Good stuff
What move would I like to see? I'd like to see them get Justin Houston back.
@Crimsonorblue22 You and me both, Sistah!
@BShark I'm sorry - what's the joke? Besides this season...
@kjayhawks My guess is OU will go 2 for 38 from the 3 pt line, 4-33 from the free throw line. They used up every spare point that we need for them to have on Saturday.
Go Texas Tech!
Go Oklahoma!
Come on football season
@BShark Decade of Dumbass, more like it. Several decades, actually. They would have made a DVD if they had come in fourth. Low expectations ...............
First words I heard this morning upon walking into work - " KU LOST !!". Really? Are you 12? Beat us another 100 times consecutively and then we'll talk.
I'm not as upset about losing it as i am about who's winning it.
The first time I tuned in it was 23-7. The second time it was 52-35. My blood pressure is fine, I won't turn back again. Good luck in the tournament boys.
Appropriately, I think I'll watch some recorded episodes of "What on Earth?"
@DanR KU is in suck mode.
It doesn't matter if we're a 1 or a 16. Whether we play at AFH or Madison Square Garden. I'm going to fill out my bracket the same way I always do and KANSAS will be the last team standing.

I have a serious question. How hard is it to fix a jumpshot? Does it get harder at a certain age?
I'm of the opinion that you can either shoot or you can't. Yes, you can make improvements, but you probably are only going to improve so much.
I'll bet Pistol Pete Maravich shot just as well at 4 as he did at 12 as he did at 19..... it was a God given talent. I think if you're a poor shooter in Jr High (hey, i'm old - that's what we called it) you're probably going to be a poor shooter in High School and College if you make it that far.
Doke proves my theory (to me). Not a jump shot, but the same idea.
@BShark He does suck - says all the other coaches who have won 14 straight Conference Tournaments.
@dylans Great point. I'm 60 and feel the same way. It has to come down to just practice (or lack of). You repeat a motion often enough and it's going to become second nature.
If he's really that bad after continued practice - just quit shooting the dang thing. Give it to someone who can.
@truehawk93 Please understand that I have no respect for Bruce Weber as a Coach, but a LOT of coaches bench players with 2 fouls for the remainder of the first half. LOTS.
I personally think it's not that smart, but it happens very frequently.
@DanR This is what happens every 20-30 years when K-State seemingly has a good team. An injury (or two), a bad night for one or two players and the panic sets in. You can see it - they will implode. I want us to win #15, but more than that - I DON'T want K-State to win it. Texas Tech - meh, but NOT KSU.
Come on BAYLOR, TCU and OKLAHOMA !!! Finish them off for us.
