After hearing the litany of dirty SEC football coaches, assistant coaches, coaches wives, players, players next door neighbors, coaches best friends from the 3rd grade and so forth, i think we should just keep Beatty and be happy winning our 1 - 3 games per year for the rest of eternity...................
I absolutely love beating a good team by 16 points and feeling like we lost.
"Dumpster Fire" ?
Really?
We have a loooooong ways to go (UPWARDS) if we desire to be at dumpster fire level.
@stoptheflop I thought we looked pretty good - it's hard to win playing 2 on 5.
We rock at snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.
They all hurt.
I feel like Shaka was a pretty decent coach.
When he beat us.
I shouldn't be commenting on here since I really have no clue what's going on - I rarely read the news. If the scoop is that Bill Self is/was doing something illegal, immoral or Calipari-ish then yes, i am greatly disappointed. I REALLY thought he was above board.
If he is guilty of some impropriety, what does that mean for KU? Is there an honest coach out there anywhere? Does anyone care if there's an honest coach out there?
I'm not condoning ANYONE cheating in any way shape or form. The only one I know to turn to for answers in a difficult situation once said this:
“He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first.” (NKJV - words are in red - you know the author)
@mayjay NO SANTA ???????????
You've gone too far now.
@KUSTEVE YES!!!
Well, not the coaching job, but actually shucking corn.
@Crimsonorblue22 " I have what I need, share what I can "
Those are great words to live by !!
@Crimsonorblue22 You must be loaded. With money, that is.
@drgnslayr I'v been pondering Directv for months now, because i am being tired of being charged $220 per month for being a "loyal customer of 24 years".
Good grief - wonder what dis-loyal customers get charged? I'm tired of going into the Cox office every few months and arguing with them about the price they are charging. My service doesn't get any better. I don't get more channels. All i get is a higher bill. Doesn't seem like a great deal to me.
I'm ready to pull the trigger now @drgnslayr - If i have to miss a couple of games, so be it - i'll go old school and listen to them on the radio. When i was a kid i did that all the time - and really enjoyed it. You get to use your imagination as the game unfolds.
I may get rid of TV altogether........
Sports takes a long distance back seat to things like this. Praying for a full and speedy recovery for your daughter-in-law and granddaughter and comfort for family and friends.
@Texas-Hawk-10 Like I said, try not to take things so seriously. Life's too short to get upset about things like this. I'm going to take my own advice now and quit commenting on this particular subject. Have a good day brother. Or sister.
@Texas-Hawk-10 Don't take things so seriously man, at least not from me. Look, I love KU sports - sports in general, but I'm not an analyst, not a coach, not a guru of any kind. I like to laugh and have fun. My intent is never to make anybody look bad or to put them down, I'm just looking for a laugh.

"it would make no sense to announce it officially until after the Texas game when KU’s season is over."
Announce it now - KU's season IS over.
@KUSTEVE Yeah, I was being facetious. If I were the AD, I probably would have sent him packing about halfway through year two. It's painfully obvious he has no clue how to coach a college football team. He may be the greatest guy in the world, I don't know, but he's no more of a coach than I am.
One thing that COULD save his job - find a different quarterback for EVERY single snap of the game. It would be a new innovative offense, the QB would not get tired, and the chances of injury are almost nil.
@Texas-Hawk-10 Forgive me for being ignorant - but i am. Does Les Miles really have any interest in coming to KU? And are we talking about the same Les Miles? The one who has coached at major universities and won Conference and National titles?
Or is this the Les Miles that is a greeter at Walmart in Booneville, Mississippi?
You guys aren't serious, are you? ONE more win this year and he will equal the number of wins he's had in his ENTIRE KU CAREER!! Name one other coach in America that can say that..............
@approxinfinity - ooooops, actually took 15 seconds to read the above posts and figured it out. Thank you.
@approxinfinity - everything works fine on my phone, but when I try to use my desktop computer I get the nginx message. Any ideas? Thank you.
@KUSTEVE How do ANY magazines or newspapers stay in business? Have people not heard of these computer/phone things?
"Best" has some alternate meaning to these people. Subway best sandwich shop - really?
wrwlumpy
"I can’t believe I’m saying this after ten years, but our toughest game will probably be at Bramlege. They will be returning everyone from the team that beat Kentucky in the Tournament last year."
@wrwlumpy What do we have to do to get you banned from this site?
He's a punk. Should have got rid of him after the first game.
Sorry to be that guy - the realist in me says we've won all the games that we're going to win this year. Prove me wrong team.
Beaty is KU's coach until the end of time, or the end of the program - whichever comes first. Who else is going to take the job???
Very sorry for your loss. My prayers to you, your family and friends for comfort and peace.
@KUSTEVE I've always kind of secretly rooted for Kruger. You know - the local boy makes it big story. Seems like a good guy. I just don't think he a great coach. Let's put it this way, if he was announced as KU's coach, i'd be pretty disappointed.
Happy birthday / anniversary! Hope you have a great day / great day!
Y'all hold Lon Kruger in much higher regard than I do (as a coach) Yes, he's had some good teams - when they were NC caliber loaded. But he's also taken some incredible talent and snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. Nice guy - not a great coach, imo.
If he's 1-5, that means he's won ONE. Look for a 10 year contract extension.
@tis4tim Lol - not a great example for me personally, but I appreciate what you're saying!
@wrwlumpy Watching the games on TV is MUCH better than watching a cruise on TV.
Actually, we spent a little time there this weekend! Had some good grub at Stone Canyon and walked across the street for some serious mini-golf. Nice little place. For Missouri.
@Woodrow Anybody that knows anything about college football knows that no self resprecting, well known coach (assistant or otherwise) is going to come to KU. It would be like Bill Self leaving KU to coach at Missouri.
@KUSTEVE Yeah, but it's close enough to feel the Kansas breeze. Close to good entertainment, shopping and most importantly - tattoo parlors.
I'm no longer entertaining offers on this place. I've decided to just tough it out and stay here.
@justanotherfan DUDE - that's very well thought out. I just like to flap my lips and see what comes out....
No way KU hires a football coach that anyone has ever heard of. Maybe some up and coming middle school coach from Delaware or some place.
@wissox , Whenever a post starts with "This is not a gloating post" - - - - it's a gloating post. lol
@approxinfinity I believe you meant "nuleaf". Lol
What is a Yankee? What is this sport you're talking about - is it even real? There are only two real sports, College Basketball and football. Everything else is just garbage that somebody made up because they couldn't play the first two.
@Woodrow We get good players sporadically, but on a consistent basis, outstanding athletes only come to KU to play basketball. Its the classic Catch 22-we have to win regularly to attract great players but we can't win regularly without good players....
Woodrow said:
"In this day and age it is amazing to me that KU can not find a competent QB."
I know you aren't familiar with me, but I promise I'm not "that" guy. Having said that, it would be way more amazing to me if KU actually DID find a competent QB. Who would want to come to KU to play football? It'd have to be someone with ties to the area/University. Either that, or they just luck into a good QB that was flying under the radar.
@Lulufulu No need to pretend - it's NOT a thing.
@Crimsonorblue22 Kinda stupid huh? That would be like the Chiefs trading Alex Smith or something......
Best post of the day
