Walk on the court with your hands on your hips - stare, no GLARE at the opponent until you see their knees quiver just a little. Defy them to stay on the court with you.
For the ones stupid enough to actually stay on the court and attempt to play the game - Run. Them. Into. The. Ground.
You can do it - we've seen it multiple times 15, 20, 25 point runs. Do it from the start.
@drgnslayr might say play with a chip on your shoulder. Or show some SWAG. Just quit coming out looking like a high school team that's playing their first away game.
@KUSTEVE I agree. I know it's not a competition, but my faith seems to pale in comparison to people like this. I'd love to say that I would be, say, act and think like him in times of real testing.......God bless him and his family.

I'm so happy to see these football boards talking about us recruiting the traditional football hot spots. The past several years we're happy to get a couple of good walk ons and maybe a guy from Hutch Juco or somewhere.
@justanotherfan It makes perfect sense though - make sure that the one guy that's been kicking your butt ALL NIGHT LONG has no one within 15 yards of him on the biggest play of the game.

I'm as excited about this coming football season as I can ever remember - BUT - I hope everyone doesn't get their hopes too high at least for 2 or 3 seasons (or longer). There's a very good chance that it's going to take a while to put together a team that is a real contender.
I'm reminded of a trip to Beaver Lake (Arkansas) this summer. I KNEW my wife, my son and myself were going to be the new world record holders for the largest Striped bass ever known to mankind. Or at least we would catch multiple 20-30 pounders. After all, we hired an experience guide, and we were on one of the best Striper lakes (supposedly) in the country. We started fishing at 7:30 pm and finished about 1:45 am. My wife caught one fish that was 6 or 7 pounds.
I know this all sounds stuipd, but my hopes were SO high and I was SO dejected after that evening. I've fished all my life and I know that anyone can get skunked at any time on any body of water, but my hopes were HIGH. Not that I won't still hope for great things, but my expectations will be more realistic from now on.

This is the reason I don't watch the news. It just irritates everyone and takes away from the good things in life like KU basketball. My suggestion would be to keep this site related to sports. There's enough outside agitation without having it on here. Just my opinion.
BUT..................................if we can be ranked #1 all season long and then get knocked out by - oh, let's say Bucknell in the first weekend, it validates......

I'm not trying to be that guy, but to say KU is not a nationally respected program is one of the strangest statements i've ever seen on this site.
You do realize we've won more games than any team in the universe except one. We've won 3 or 5 National Championships, depending on who you talk to.
We've won a hundred Big 12 Championships in a row (give or take).
Even broadcasters recognize that Kansas is the mecca of college basketball - if you don't believe me, ask any of them that have ever done a game at AFH. It's the pinnacle of college basketball arenas.
Not having a Missouri to beat 2 or 3 times a year is not hurting us a bit.
@KUSTEVE It motivates the SHI* out of me. I know it's early, I know the polls mean zero right now, but I'm tired of KU being disrespected. We could be 38-0 and Duke, Kentucky and Carolina could all have 12 losses and they still get all the press, all the hype.
In my opinion, anybody that is a KU fan should be ticked.

@Kcmatt7 , @justanotherfan - I love the numbers he's putting up. But - he has to have the smarts to know when enough is enough. For instance - am i the only one that saw the season flash before my eyes when he attempted to tackle the giant dude in the end zone and his right foot/leg looked like it was going to splinter? He needed to let it go - we aren't going to any playoffs with him in a cast on the bench. That's what I'm talking about. Throw it left handed, throw it behind your back, throw it while standing on your head - i don't care - just don't be stupid and throw into double/triple coverage. Three interceptions. The one is understandable, but two of them were strictly because he was trying to make a pass that even he couldn't make. I don't want him to Alex it down - just don't give the ball away for no reason.

Yes, I'm a biased Chiefs fan, but i agree with your assessment of a WHOLE bunch of blatantly crap calls -- both ways.
In my expert (sarcasm font enabled) opinion - we win this game by 2 TD's if Mahomes hadn't bought into the idea that he is Superman. He tried to make a lot of really stupid plays that experienced QB's would have thrown into the stands or thrown a screen to a wide open receiver (who happens to be the fastest guy in the league). Yes, he is better than most NFL QB's at digging himself out of a pit, but the Chiefs have NO chance of getting to the Super Bowl if he doesn't learn when not to throw into double or triple coverage.
Oh yeah, they might want to fire Bob Sutton and get Clint Bowen if they want to win some games. Because that defense (again with the sarcasm font when i say "defense") is going to do nothing but cost us games.

With the worst defense in the history of the NFL and a quarterback that , tonight, looked like a High School sophomore making his first start, KC should have been beaten by 50. A three point loss is stunning considering all of the bad things that happened.
@BShark If you go tankless, make sure you maintain it (or have it maintained) yearly or you'll be wishing you had a regular tank type heater.
