The question will be how Coach K uses Zion. Will he let him takeover games?
Hopefully he uses him just like Kruger used Trae Young.

Then they have a garage sale to get rid of all the torn down garage sale signs. I wonder how they advertise for it ???
@justanotherfan The Sooners were bad WITH Trae Young..
So, when do we get a real football coach?
NOPE
Greatest sports moment - winning a Blue Ribbon at 3rd grade playday - BEFORE everybody got a medal just for participating..... :( , or beating my daughter's boyfriend's 6 year old at bowling a few weeks ago. Punk.
I hear " WHO GIVES A CRAP? "
@wissox - The gentleman that you were talking to - was there any kind of "institution" nearby that he may have been escorted back to?
@dylans Oh, the dude can throw the ball alright. Can anybody block for him or catch it when it gets there? We'll see.
Y'all know that size, speed, skill and desire have nothing to do with anyone's decision to go to the NBA, right?
It's one thing - the almighty dollah.
@mayjay That was a very nice slam. It was Huuuuge. Thank you
@mayjay Well, here's the deal. I don't give a crap about "the kid" - whomever the kid may be. I care about watching good quality college basketball and winning. When I am president, every athlete that goes to college will play four years and then go pro if that is their desire.
If they want to be a One and Done, they can defect to some other country and go to college for one year there.
Or here's another stupid crazy idea.
1) Recruit a kid in high school and get him to commit
2) Said kid comes to college, enrolls, stays four years
3) Have fun in college. Get a girlfriend. See the country / world
4) If they're any good, they get drafted by the NBA after their senior year
5) If they aren't so good, go get a job like the rest of us schleps.
Never mind - that's the stupidest idea EVER. Yes, I said stupidest.
I hope they all go - don't even stay one year. Every game we can just pick a handful of kids from the stands. Have a raffle or some crap.
@Kcmatt7 I'm trying to think of a scenario where i fail at my job 92% of the time and still HAVE a job.
I can't.
@Kcmatt7 Time will tell.
@Kcmatt7 I was being sarcastic - at this point one win is a pretty lofty goal.

Beaty is going to put up another 1 win team, get the boot, and a new coach will be able to recruit with a fresh start and new facilities.
REALLY?
You really think we'll win one this year?
@Lulufulu One thing you probably need to know about me bro (or sis) - I use hyperbole and sarcasm a lot. Almost exclusively.
Love Paul. Would have loved him a tiny bit more if he had stayed one more year. No big deal.
Thanks @approxinfinity ! I thought for a while it was just me - that i was banned for life because of my dislike of OAD's. hehe
All new recruits must bring with them to campus:
1) Their own shiny new vehicle.
2) Their own girlfriend/wife/both.
3) A fake ID.
4) Enough cash to pay up front for however long they are staying in college,.

You weren't ABLE - or more likely, you weren't committed to it. Why don't you tell the truth once in a while? I'll tell you why:
YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH!!
Sorry, all in jest - saw the "Bucknell" thing and had flashbacks. Deep breath. All better now.
@drgnslayr It kinda makes me think he's very, very optomistic - or a nut case.....
Anyone else wonder why Villanova shot 18 (or 19) 3 pointers before we took our first one??
What's politics?
@Kcmatt7 I've already stated that I'm moving on from this subject because it's a no win for everyone. BUT.....lol
No, I'm not mad at Newman or Vick. I totally get why players leave. It's just that, as a fan, I don't have as much love or respect as I do for the players that stay four years - ESPECIALLY - great players who KNOW they could bail and go make a boatload of money.
I love the guys who love KU. That's basically what it boils down to. I like Josh Jackson (I literally had to think for a while to remember his name), I LOVE Frank Mason and Devonte Graham. (Didn't have to think at all to remember them)
It's just a personal opinion of mine - i don't like the One and Done system. I think it robs kids of a great personal learning and growing experience (the whole college scene) while making them extremely rich.
OK, I'm officially done. Until next time.
@BShark I know better than to get on this subject anyway. For the next billion years or so, there will be those who love the one and done's and those who desperately want four year players. Everyone's right -seriously, we could all make great cases why we're right, we just can't make the other side see WHY we're right!
Have a great day my friend.
@BShark As you just resorted to saying I made a silly comparison - You just asked a question you don't know the answer to. That's silly.
Are any of the folks here business owners? Are you ok with interviewing dozens (or more) applicants to find the best, brightest and most qualified for the jobs you have currently open? Do you ever get frustrated when you hire someone who is a perfect fit for your company and has the potential to make your place more successful - and they leave after one year?
Just wondered.
I need to read more closely - thought you said OUTRAGE....
@BShark Lol - no doubt.
@BShark It wasn't unheard of, but yes that's true. Still, it doesn't change my question of what would have happened if some of those who had bailed on us would have stayed.
@HighEliteMajor I always go back to Danny Manning. He would have been totally justified to jump to the NBA at any point - as a Sophomore or a Junior. He literally became a legend by staying all four years PLUS won us another National Championship. Would we have a couple more if, say Wiggins or Josh Jackson had stayed? Maybe not, but they would have been held in much higher esteem in my eyes. And I know that's important to them.....
@BShark Ouch
@mayjay I'm a little weirded out right now. I've followed KU basketball seriously since I was probably 10 years old (1968) I had to Google Norm Cook. I don't have any recollection of him. My apologies to Mr Cook's family, friends, fans.
@DanR 3 years is tolerable. Still, who are the KU players that we all really love? For me - Frank Mason, Devonte Graham, Svi, Danny Manning, oh Lord - so many who stayed all 4 years when they could (or some would say should) have gone early but stayed at KU for one reason -loyalty. Loyal to their coaches, loyal to their fans, loyal to themselves. College basketball at The University of Kansas is the experience of a lifetime. The NBA is a effing job. That's it. A high paying job to be sure, but a job.
@kjayhawks Who's Josh Selby?
@kjayhawks See, that's just funny as hell to me. Be a legend in Lawrence and then make a bunch of dough, or jump to the NBA and be a well paid, no name pine rider for 10 years. Its probably just me - I only remember and respect players who stay the duration in college. I'm still pissed at Paul Pierce.
@kjayhawks I don't know you well enough, but if that were from my lips "Serviceable NBA backup" it would have been dripping with sarcasm.
NFW we lose 8 or 9 out of 10. I don't have crimson & blue glasses, but we're better than that. Maybe 50/50. If you don't believe me, set up a 10 game series.
let's take up a collection and move mom here
@wissox Jesus just left Chicago! And He's bound for New Orleans.........
Sorry to be that guy - but if he left, no way Sam Cunliffe could be considered a key loss.
@wissox Don't be misled, both teams are hated around the college hoops world. The only two fan bases that like Duke and KU are ......Duke and KU.
Can somebody get busy MAKING another Teahan ???
The janitor at the local grade school.
The greeter at Wal-Mart.
The guy that changes my oil at Jiffy-Lube.
@loyolstud88 Two of the stars of your team are Kansas boys - you knew Chicago couldn't do it on their own....
You're wanting to trash K-State anyway, not KU. Come back after your 12th birthday.
@Crimsonorblue22 That's because K-State fans are inbred to be losers so they're used to (and happy with) losing.
@wrwlumpy I'm ok with most KSU fans - except the students. And the ones that are 22-40. And the ones who are farmers. And the ones who are loudmouthed jerks. And the ones who are over 40.
Other than that - their other 6 fans are ok.
Seriously though - you know what the difference between KU & K-State is ? Assuming we get to the Elite Eight this year and then both of us lose our next games -
It will have been an INCREDIBLE year for K-State. One of their best in recent memory.
It will he a huge disappointment for a KU Program that usually has Final Four potential.
