I had a nightmare last night myself - I was the only guy at the Playboy Mansion and after spending the weekend there I hit the winning lottery ticket for 500 million bucks.

@lincase There was a joke going around after the 2003 Title game, you've probably all heard it - but - I like it so I'll repeat it. (Remember - 2003)
So, Jim Boeheim and Roy Williams had both passed away. Roy was first. When Jim got to the pearly gates, he was greeted by St Peter and was given a walking tour of heaven. First stop was Jim's new heavenly home, a nice 3 br, 2 bth ranch house, painted orange with a Syracuse National Championship flag flying in the front yard. St Peter told him that he should be very proud of winning the championship and that hardly anyone ever got a flagpole. Jim was beaming.....
A little later on their stroll Jim glanced up ahead and saw this incredible mansion - HUGE, it sprawled for several blocks. It was white marble, with stained glass Jayhawks in the windows. The mile long driveway was pave with pure gold bricks and lined with Jayhawk flagpoles on each side the whole length of the drive. It had an incredibly manicured lawn and a Jayhawk shaped swimming pool. The most beautiful cheerleaders in heaven frolicked in the pool. Lavish fountains were all over the property.
Jim was taken aback! He said WHOA WHOA WHOA - what in the wide wide world of sports is a goin on here? Roy has never won a National Championship and he gets all of THIS????? And I get a crappy little ranch house??? This ain't even right!!
St Peter looked at him and said " Jim, this isn't Roy Willimans' place. It's God's!!! "

@nwhawkfan I've ALWAYS seen Marshall as a charlatan. He puts together enough wins against nobody teams in weak leagues and sprinkles in 1 or 2 upsets per year against teams that are short on depth or have injured players and the media thinks he's the next Bill Self, John Wooden, Roy Williams, Dean Smith, Bob Knight, (Fill in the blank with your favorite Hall of Fame Coach).

At least that's my take from the sign that I saw on I-70 this weekend that said they were having an open house on April 7th.
@KUSTEVE I hope so too. Every year since 1968 I've predicted we'd win the National Championship. I've been right twice in 50 years.
@KUSTEVE Let me put it this way - I'm a pretty big KU fan. I had FF on my brain from way before the season began. After seeing us lose Billy Preston, multiple home games and lose to OSU twice - I personally don't feel we're Final Four material. With the almost unbeatable teams we've had in the past we are extremely prone to early upsets - I want to get there, I want to win the whole thing. I just don't think this is the team to do it.
Here's my challenge to the team - PROVE ME WRONG.
@KUSTEVE I'm not crazy - just realistic. SO - as a one seed, what's the expectation? Final Four - that's the whole idea of getting a one seed. You think this team is final four material? Nope - neither do I.
@BeddieKU23 Dude (I assume?) I am scared to death about the #16 thing. Seriously. We have NO business being a #1 seed, and if we actually are, i feel it's a set up by the powers that be to make sure that Kansas is the first number one to be taken down by a 16.
We've set some records this year - 1st Self team to get swept by a big 12 opponent, 1st Kansas team to get beaten 78 times in a row in a single season in Lawrence (Hyperbole is my friend). I DON'T want to set this other new record.

I prefer the realism route. Self can't / won't beat OSU. We were a short team ( in stature and depth ) now we're even shorter. OSU spanks us - AGAIN. Then we still get a #1 Seed on the NCAA's because the media hates us and desperately wants us to get beat by a #16, then I will get rid of my nuleaf tattoo, and never watch sports again. Except Women's beach volleyball.
