@nwhawkfan Is the match on TV?
ESPN +
No sweep tonight. Bluejays take the third set 25-19. KU still up 2-1.
The night is young...Off to the volleyball game thread. And Wiggins plays on ESPN later.
A physical 20 point win on the road. I like it
Christian Braun. The King Of New York.

@DanR I was too lazy to go back and correct it. I liked it when the city schools like GTown, DePaul, Loyola and St. Johns played in what amounted to oversized HS gyms. DePauls is still standing and they can't draw anyone so they need to go back to playing there.
The other night Texas played a game against Sam Houston State in their old 3,000 seat gym. First time since 1977. Students and VIPs only.
Second round underway against host Creighton. GO JAYHAWKS !
And just in time for KU volleyball to take the court at Creighton. Winner goes to the Sweet Sixteen.
Great job so far by Big Dave, Ochai and CB.
Meanwhile, Champagnie looks a little...flat.
bout time on the charge call

And later, Andrew Christian Wiggins
Och doing it on both ends

Jayhawks in "ENN - WYYY - CEEE" !
(sorry...I can't get that damn song out of my head since last night's "Annie Live" on TV...)
My guess is that Turgeon's next stop will be an assistant job somewhere. Good luck to him and Danny.
IMO, Manning was set up to fail at Wake...in spite of that, he managed to beat both Duke and UNC within a two-week span his final season. Taking over a mediocre Big 10 team looks like a more manageable situation for him than a moribund ACC program.
Not sure how good his recruiting skills are, but at least now he has access to recruits in the D.C. area...if the AD gives him a shot at the job full time.
Was hoping Ole Miss could pull off the upset. No such luck. Creighton in straight sets.
So it's KU and Creighton tomorrow night on the Blue Jays' home court. 7 pm CT start.
Been lucky to have access to some pretty good VB on the West Coast. The Pac-12 (mostly UCLA and Stanford) used to dominate the national Final Four, going back to the Pac-10 days. Washington has a good program too, with a title in 2005. Oregon is just so-so in conference, but usually gets hot come tournament time. Glad we could cool 'em off.
Didn't really get into the sport until I dated someone who played at Stanford. Been a follower of the game ever since.
Down go the Ducks ! KU wins their first round match against Oregon in a 3-0 sweep.
The NCAA's own website picked U of O to go to the Sweet Sixteen. (Ummm...nope.)
Next up: the winner of the next match between host Creighton and Ole Miss. Starting time: tomorrow at 7 PM CST (or around halftime of the St. John's BB game. Get those split screens ready.)
WELL DONE LADIES !
Jayhawks win the first set against Oregon, 25-21.
One night after Wiggins shot only 4 for 12 from the field, Embiid goes 3 for 17 in the Sixers' loss to the Celtics. Ouch.
At least he had 18 rebounds.

Lol ASU lost to Wazzu 51-29 in what I first thought was a makeup football game
Wonder what Remy's thinking 'bout that
Tough night for Wiggins against the Suns. 4 for 12 from the field for only 10 points. Still dealing with a bad back.
Even tougher night for Steph. 12 points on 4 for 21 shooting. If it wasn't for Jordan Poole it would've been a complete Phoenix blowout.
Number One loses again.
Looks like this is gonna be one of those years when no team stays in the top spot for long.

@tis4tim That's all? I'm gonna hold out for more. KU tickets for life maybe?
Better make sure they are for BB, not field hockey or...golf.
That's a shame, 'cause KU is actually good at golf.

Bulldogs pull away late, 64-55.
First scare they're had at The Kennel in quite a while. It's their lowest point total there in over five years.
Our friends at Tarleton State are making a stand in Spokane. Only trail Gonzaga by 1 at the half. Texans already have 7 steals.

So Ok , guessing maybe I'm more Naive then what I thought. I just don't see why the move Anywhere. I mean he is already at a top notch program , awesome facilities, always top recruits , very winning program, probably gets anything he asks for - -don't see a step up improvement for sure - -to USC? - -not a better program at the very best lateral move great fan base - -I just can't see the advantage - -why? - - -I'm sure he makes a butt load of money from his Base Salary and then all the endorsements - -tell me how does USC be a better position then Oklahoma - the league he is moving to by far is no better - I 'll wait go ahead fill me in
The path to a playoff at USC and the P12 is much easier than the SEC, even if the playoffs expand. In the new SEC, Alabama, Georgia, Oklahoma, Auburn, LSU, Florida, Texas, and Texas A&M are all teams that are or will consistently be threats to win the SEC. In the PAC 12, it's usually Oregon or Utah that's the biggest hurdle.
Coming into this season, you could've added Washington to that list of Pac-12 contenders, but their program imploded after a series of on- and off-field missteps. Now they're in the middle of their own coaching search. The Huskies are set for a rebuild that'll take at least a couple of years. UW has the money to get a quality coach, just not USC or Nike/Oregon money.
Back to NYC next Friday for St. John's.
RCJH !
7th or 8th?
Nice inside game today. Kept the turnovers to single digits too.
Yesufu making a pretty good argument for more playing time.
Yah, gotta have at least one of my teams win this weekend.
No miracle tonight. But damn close.
Still plenty on the offseason rebuilding to-do list...tighten up the defense, for one. The offensive line has improved the last few games, but still a ways to go as well. And I like Daniels, but he needs to know when to eat the ball and not try to force passes.
Credit to him on that last TD though.
Crappy spot, ref
There used to be a pretty good jazz saxophonist back in the Big Band Era named Earl Bostic (without the "k"). Probably no relation.
PLUS TWO
PICK SIX !
Defense can't let those chances slip thru their fingers. Literally.
Wiiide open there !
