Juan's 12 pts seems about right to me. He's certainly enough of a threat to score that defenses can't just ignore him like Kentucky did. The bench only took 6 shots today, 6pts. If the bench and Jackson can't contribute more on offense, then Juan may have to shoot more than the 9 shots he put up today

I sure hope Hunter brings his A game. Hunter has seemed to coast during several games. Maybe he is adopting Juan's attitude where Juan says he'll shoot/score if he feels the team needs him to score. I say shoot and score whenever you can; whenever the shot is there.
Looking at the Gonzaga box score, the 3 starting Gs were the only Gs who played and rack 37, 39 and 40 min. All 3 bench players in the game were Fs. Strange, maybe desperate lineup.
Does anyone else feel like the Bills game is a must win for Mahomes? Wow has he fallen to average or below average this year. Everyone blames his averageness on the Wideouts, but he's not the same athlete he's been. Meanwhile, Tyreek has almost 1500 yds. At the time, I didn't think losing Tyreek was going to hurt this much. Anyway, McKinnon and Edwards-Helaire must step up. It will be interesting to see if Bolton is back as a game changing force. Go Chiefs!

Kentucky is getting great bench scoring from Bradshaw, Dillingham and Sheppard. 22 pt with 15 min to play. KU really needs to find much better scoring from the bench
Until the KC game, I thought Hunter was doing fine with the antagonistic defenses that teams throw at him. The KC frontcourt players were definitely leaning on Hunter and being physical, but that's to be expected. I sure hope KU's staff has reviewed the KC defense video and challenged Hunter not to react to the defensive strategy designed to get him aggitated. Hunter's going to see a lot more of that defense going forward. Our staff can watch Hunter and give him more breaks during to game to deal with his frustration and anger. We know Hunter has a temper and loses control; a couple of minutes on the bench will keep him in the game. Who remembers Paul Mokeski in the NBA? His role was to act as the enforcer/hacker in the paint. His days with Detroit is what I remember. Paul is still one of my great memories at KU.
Google News has the story today from a site called Sportskeeda, whatever that is. I read the story first before seeing this post. I thought it was strange the article didn't say who suspended him, KU, Big12 or his mom and dad. Also, when I watched the throwdown incident, I saw the Roo player elbow Hunter in the chin first. I've never heard anyone else mention the high elbow. Maybe it didn't connect. I don't think KU or Dickinson has commented on it. This would be a pretty devastating suspension since Missouri and Indiana are next up.

So which record carries the most weight, overall wins/losses or conference record? Using overall KU's 8-4 record puts us in a tie for 3rd with KST and WV. But, conference record of 5-4 puts us in a tie for 7th with Tx Tech. We'll know Sunday for sure. Why doesn't the NCAA make a big deal out of the announcements like the NCAA tournament? I guess the individual bowls want to make the announcements to their schools as soon as possible so there's no control over the information getting out.

My comment isn't necessarily about Coach Andy, but maybe. After seeing Jason's nearly perfect performance against Cincy, I'm really pissed our coaches didn't start him against KState. Unless available means he can't play, why the hell didn't our best QB play in the game that means the most to KU fans in Kansas? Ballard played his best, but he's nowhere near the QB who was declared available before the game. For me, the KState game was the most important game on the schedule. Maybe Coach Lance doesn't understand how much a W against KState means to us. Even if we win the bowl game, I'll still remember the W that KU should have gotten against KState.
