ok Big 12 / SEC challenge • Jan 27, 2018 10:07 PM

What's a Tonny Trocha-Morelos? No offense, but name too long for bball...TMore?

Garrett 2 and Doke 1 PF

ok Big 12 / SEC challenge • Jan 27, 2018 10:02 PM

@BShark But keep the throttle down through the final buzzer.

ok Big 12 / SEC challenge • Jan 27, 2018 10:00 PM

Let's get Doke involved early and draw some fouls. Get him on the line now to get rid of the FT voodoo

ok Big 12 / SEC challenge • Jan 27, 2018 09:58 PM

Be nice to have a 20+ lead at half and demoralize this TAM team.

ok Big 12 / SEC challenge • Jan 27, 2018 09:57 PM

Need to tighten up on D...need stops to build half time lead

ok Big 12 / SEC challenge • Jan 27, 2018 09:56 PM

KU needs to throttle down

@Crimsonorblue22 Officially or ESPN?

ok Big 12 / SEC challenge • Jan 27, 2018 09:40 PM

I hope a KU win takes the FT factor away. NOPOKEADOKE

ok Big 12 / SEC challenge • Jan 27, 2018 09:32 PM

3-2 B12 one game win at this point?

ok Big 12 / SEC challenge • Jan 27, 2018 09:31 PM

@BShark Of course we should have, in fact, we did have them beat...all but beat. It was a W, but it just slipped our hands.

@Hawk8086 Yeah, maybe I'm ignorant to the bball conference community. I just think its risky for a team that's not too deep at key positions, ie. Doke. Its all good, and hope for the best for KU and B12.

ok Big 12 / SEC challenge • Jan 27, 2018 08:28 PM

Faylor only B12 loss so far.

OU struggling against Bama. Looks like Kruger and Co learned some offense from KU utilizing their bigs more.

Kitty Kats struggling against Georgia.

Once again, we are the B12 and anything is possible.

I dont like nor do I want this conference challenge. It doesnt matter but guess its a good scrimmage to work areas, maybe FTs...haha

I think Doke can shake this ugly shot. It can't get much worse. I think we've all seen the worst. Now let's move on. Self and Co will do their job. Doke will put this mess behind him and get better.

This conference challenge means absolutely nothing. I think its useless. Is there something more, other than bragging rights?

Bill Self - cost us the game? • Jan 24, 2018 11:15 PM

I get the strategy and nothing against Kruger, but maybe the whole intentional fouling should be reviewed. Maybe, if the same player is "intentpionally" fouled 3 times or more, on 3 consecutive offensive trips, like Doke, maybe a technical foul should incur. Here's my concern...what if this player is in the act of shooting, off balance, or simply gets frustrated. I think to control the game more than controlling the fouls should be a concern. The whole premeditated fouling of a player is going to end really badly for a player. Simply because a coach is telling his kids to "intentionally foul," ie. Lon Kruger. Get ready, they come to Lawrence. I say we rough Trae Young up on every shot he takes, and HARD too. I don't want to hurt him, just make him think before he puts up a deep trey.

Oklahoma Sooners - Tuesday - 8 pm - ESPN • Jan 24, 2018 02:31 AM

If all OU could do was foul a poor FT shooter, they are pretty desperate. This won't work in most games. We all knew Doke's FTs were/are a huge risk, and teams are going to use the same strategy in games going forward. Self and Doke just sucked it up to grind through the game. Kruger will have the same game plan in the Phog.

Bill Self - cost us the game? • Jan 24, 2018 02:24 AM

Ok, bad game in Norman. What did you expect? KU is still leading B12. Damn, lighten up. Live, learn, and play another day. It's the B12.

So Tuesday • Jan 22, 2018 01:27 AM

@Jayballer54 Most definitely, because Trae has this date circled.

Last 10 Years Top 20 Recruiting • Jan 22, 2018 01:25 AM

We are still in on Romeo. I think we have a slight chance. Especially since Billy is gone. I still say he is waiting on Vick. I know the "experts" failed on Zion, which is my point exactly. They had him to SCaro, Clemson, and even UNC. Why doesn't he commit to his 'top' choices. I'd say our chances with Romeo is greater than Zion.

Last 10 Years Top 20 Recruiting • Jan 22, 2018 01:21 AM

@Blown Is it me, or every time KU signs a top ranked player they drop and dook's recruits take the higher spots?

Udoka Free Throw Solutions - Photo Added • Jan 22, 2018 01:14 AM

If he makes most or the better part of his FTs, who cares what they chant. I bet he could improve his % exponentially if he finds a nice soft arc to the rim. Rick Berry's method works. It's not as though he's shooting the ball from between his legs. Rather, with his size, he would simply toss the ball under handed from the mid-section. Hell, have Rick Berry himself come in and teach Doke. Who better than the master himself, or is this a violation of impermissible benefits?

Hey it works and is effective.

Post your Quick thoughts on game • Jan 21, 2018 01:49 AM

@Bwag Agreed. We are so close, but just not quite consistent. I think they can find some consistency if they want to maintain.

Who was it that said in the game thread they were on the line during practice? Apparently not enough. Garrett is a bit of a surprise.

Does everyone realize that with Zion to dook, it gives them the top 3 consecutive players? They have the 1,2,3 top ranked ESPN players respectively?

Either Rat Face is an incredible recruiter or he is just the most crooked recruiter of all time. I find it hard to believe the later when he assisted for Bobby Knight who called out Calipari's recruiting. Unless Rat Face fell a long way lately from the recruiting tree of Knight.

This is pretty incredible recruiting.

Baylor Bears - Saturday - 5 pm - ESPN • Jan 21, 2018 01:29 AM

@Crimsonorblue22 Didn't Beard play a kid that was injured against us? Smith? I think he's out now? Not sure about that, but seems an injured player played that should not have played.

Baylor Bears - Saturday - 5 pm - ESPN • Jan 21, 2018 01:28 AM

@StLJhawk Call it what you will, I will take it.

Baylor Bears - Saturday - 5 pm - ESPN • Jan 21, 2018 01:26 AM

BU played WVU similarly in Motown too. BU seems to be fairly good on the road, without wins. I don't want to under estimate their play.

Baylor Bears - Saturday - 5 pm - ESPN • Jan 21, 2018 01:22 AM

@Jayballer54 Wow, so many thought SCarolina or Clemson. Ol' Rat Face worked his nasty magic. The analyst even thought KU and UK were the blue bloods in the running. Look at Ol' Rat Face up to his usual tricks.

Baylor Bears - Saturday - 5 pm - ESPN • Jan 21, 2018 01:21 AM

@StLJhawk This will not cut it when WVU or OU comes to town or any team for that matter. Why can't they learn to fight and play like they do on the road. I just don't get it.

Baylor Bears - Saturday - 5 pm - ESPN • Jan 21, 2018 01:15 AM

@BShark Hell NO....NO OT, please

Baylor Bears - Saturday - 5 pm - ESPN • Jan 21, 2018 01:12 AM

@StLJhawk Yep...why not. Make him beat you from the line. Get ready and Doke has got to find SOME consistency by making the opposing team pay. It's just like Shaq in the league.

Baylor Bears - Saturday - 5 pm - ESPN • Jan 21, 2018 01:11 AM

@BShark Getting too old for this crap...

Baylor Bears - Saturday - 5 pm - ESPN • Jan 21, 2018 01:09 AM

Great BU game plan, foul Doke.

Fight and defend

Baylor Bears - Saturday - 5 pm - ESPN • Jan 21, 2018 01:02 AM

Unbelieveable...I was afraid of this. They let BU stay in this game and they have taken a late lead.

Baylor Bears - Saturday - 5 pm - ESPN • Jan 21, 2018 12:37 AM

I would think Self, Roberts, or Townsend would work with his technique. Hell, put him on the FT line for 50 or 100 attempts to get his FTs into some kind of consistency.

Baylor Bears - Saturday - 5 pm - ESPN • Jan 21, 2018 12:36 AM

@BShark Sure, if it works.

Baylor Bears - Saturday - 5 pm - ESPN • Jan 21, 2018 12:35 AM

Teams will expose Doke at the line. This will be their go to in close games.
