@KansasComet I do respect Izzo. Has nothing but love and respect for the KU program and Self. He is one of those Xs and Os coaches that can work magic. But his team seems to lack something this year. For example, that Valentine team was nasty. He willed that team during many games. They don't have a real Valentine type of player. They are good, but not Valentine good. It will even be with a Magic Johnson pep talk too.
@KansasComet I like the small sacrifice of losing that nasty overall #1 seed and getting some extra time to work some areas. I like the rest it gave our guys. I really think Dook tanks sooner than many realize. They can't keep up the pace after playing like hell against UNC and the end of their year. Many of these teams, ISU included, will be gassed. I like our fresh chance.
@KansasComet Not this year for MSU. Unless Izzo can pull a Spartan rabbit out of his hat, this is not MSU's year. JJ plays against friends if that's the case.
ESPN has Nova and Dook in the Elite 8. Wow, what bold predictions. Gawd, I hope the boyz show up and play their game.
@BeddieKU23 I wonder if we could've won our conf tourney if our overall 1 seed would've been cake? I doubt it. We all saw the potential seeds in the bracket for the last 2-3 wks during our overall 1 seed. It looked hellish. In fact, the argument is the South region is the strongest bracket.
Dook and UNC getting a lot of love coming from "the strongest league" in the nation. Yet, we beat UK and Dook. But many are excusing Dook's early half of the season with all their poor unfortunate circumstances with injuries and their coach being out too. Piss on the ACC and all but 1-2 will drop out early after the first 2-3 rounds.

@BeddieKU23 Baylor does have a tendency to disappear this time of year. Baylor's success will depend a great deal on the other coach's X and O ability. Drew will not fair well against a good X and O coach.
@Texas-Hawk-10 I actually think Drew and his boys could beat Dook. We are talking Drew against Rat Face.
@CRH107 Oh yeah....Many whiners argued that Dook should've been a #1 seed since they played 2-3 games and won their conf tourney.
The conf tourneys are not meant to determine much. They definitely DO NOT determine #1 seeds. The committee did the right thing. They looked at the overall conference body of play for each of the 1 seeds and chose their #1 seeds. Dook's overall body of play DID NOT make the cut. I'm so sick of people arguing that if a team wins 2-3 games in their conf tourneys they deserve a high seed.
BTW- Let's hope the Deacons get in over the Purple Pussies. Manning and his Deacons deserve it more than KSuck.
@KUSTEVE Dang it, I like the way he talks and well....people like him too.

Is it Sunday yet?
@Texas-Hawk-10 Oh that's right. I forgot about Hansen. Well, you just furthered my point. Anywho....
I also forgot about Karl under Smith. So, it's interesting how much influence Kansas bball had on soooo many coaches, great coaches too.
@wissox Good grief. We are a different team and they are too. Bring on the Shox.
Bring them all on...it doesn't matter. The boyz have to be ready for any team. They've proven their ability. They are truly tested for just about any team in the DANCE.
@StLJhawk 1000% agree
@HighEliteMajor Yeah...You might get "tripped up"
I don't care about the brackets. KU looks to maintain their #1 seed in the Midwest. It appears the worst has happened. They are the overall 3rd #1. I just want them to take full advantage of this time and invest in whatever they deem necessary. They need to come out like a new team with something to prove or with a vengeance.
The DANCE is like a new season. One and only goal: NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP
@Blown Henry Iba was at least a contemporary of Rupp.
Iba produced Eddie Sutton who ultimately co-produced Bill Self with Larry Brown. Self was a graduate coach with Brown at KU. You forgot to put Self under Brown. Sutton produced Self as a player, and influenced his coaching. However, Brown would be ultimately credited with the coaching tree that produced Self. Sutton produced his sons?
Here's a little unknown fact about Sutton...He was born in Bucklin, KANSAS. Damn, all bball legends come from KANSAS in some way. Hell, even John Wooden stopped off during the construction of Allen Field to help build the legendary Phog Allen Field House on his way to UCLA.
@Blown LOVE the bathroom humor. Excellent
@BeddieKU23 Oh sure...It's what they do this time of year.
@drgnslayr So far so good. Selection Sunday can't come soon enough.
@KUSTEVE I just saw Lundardi's latest brackets. Again, I don't care and we should enter in fairly good shape at this point. It's not completely done yet, but at this point that #1 seed looks set. I just hope the committee doesn't do anything stupid.
@KUSTEVE Don't think so. You have way too much faith in the system.
@BeddieKU23 Exactly. You know that, I know that, all of Jayhawk Nation knows it for sure. We all know the nation and the committee knows what you posted. However, I am hoping for the best and expecting the worst possible seeding after this loss in the B12 tourney.
This is exactly what all the pundits wanted. KU ranked #1 in the nation and the overall #1 seed in the tourney. Now, they come up empty against #9 seed in the B12 tourney. Ohhhhh....this is going to a wonderful opportunity for some NCAA political bracketology to take place. I want to be wrong, but something tells me they are going to take full advantage of this KU blunder.
@drgnslayr To both points, the understanding has changed. The committee does that when it has sufficient reason as @jaybate-1.0 illustrated above/below (what is the previous posts? above or below?). This is my point after this goofy loss to TCU. It's going to sting, but the question is how much will KU pay for this little insignificant loss? 2 seed? 3 seed? a far region? #2 or 3 in the toughest bracket? Maybe all the above or worse?
Let's see how much love KU gets from the committee. Don't hold your breath with all the bias in the NCAA.
I really hope Frank and the boyz cut down the nets in April. He has worked for 4 yrs and deserves more than a bunch of individual hardware.
Lead on Frank....RCJHGOKU
@approxinfinity I don't care much about TCU overall. I am more concerned of how this loss to #9 will impact our overall entry into the DANCE. If your logic were taken into consideration with the committee @approxinfinity, I wouldn't have a problem at all. However, the committee is under extreme pressure from bball fans to reward and penalize teams. KU is always the whipping boy, and scapegoat for them. KU is always pretty much the team under the gun to suffer in the eyes of the committee. Just read Lunardi's logic. Right or wrong, he does have his finger on the committee's pulse. He obviously isn't the final decision maker at all, but his thinking is pretty much consistent with most people. They will throw KU's entire season out and reward some team they all want to advance for some reason. They can afford to impose some "loss" justification and satisfy the whine bags that demand teams get what they want.
This is going to be an interesting bracket year. You have four top teams: Nova, Zags, KU, and UNC. I just hope the boyz show up and play.
@wissox That's the goal and with scissors in hand. Obviously there's nothing else to gain at this point except the ultimate goal of the season. This team is battled tested and has the scars to achieve their team dream.
@Texas-Hawk-10 I think we all want them to be in the best position possible to cut the nets in Arizona.
@MoonwalkMafia True. My issue isn't with being #1. I could care less, because it's cutting down the nets in April that is my goal for this team. However, it's ALWAYS how the so-called bracketologists punish KU year in and year out for one off loss.
You're right. It makes no difference and the boyz now have to refocus. I believe they can go all the way #1 be damned.
Rankings don't mean much. I think it's more about losing to a #9 team that you swept in the regular season. What's more, KU didn't beat them all that convincingly even with Josh. Now, they go into the NCAAs with something to prove.
Let's enjoy that #13 title and let's now focus on the grand prize. We'll not hear the end of this sorry loss from the haters. The only way for KU to redeem itself is to play for the National Championship.
RCJHGOKU
@Texas-Hawk-10 Are you sure about that? You better check Lunardi. He just dropped them to a overall top 3 seed.
I knew this crap would happen. I hope they feel this and PLAY. Josh has some butt to kick and make up for this suspension. I told you they got what they wanted.
LOL...#3 overall top seed? Laughable
- Per Lunardi just hit ESPN
This gets better and better...Read this
Duke will go as far as Grayson Allen will take it - Dana O'Neil
Let's see how far they go if he's suspended. What a year to end like this. One team suspends top recruit, loses, and drops to #3 seed in a conference tourney? Are you freaking kidding me? Mr Triptomaniac will take his team far? Sure when he's never suspended by his coach. He does this crap on national television and gets away with it. WOW
Don't ever say Bill Self doesn't punish his players. Other teams and players get away with murder and will go far into the tourney? Where is basketball? This is NOT IT. Coach K is a punk like his players. They've always been punks. Damn it.
Ok...Shake it and take the time to get ready for the BIG DANCE.
No more of this crap or it's season over.
@approxinfinity TCU wins one game and they deserve to dance? What about all the other teams that deserve to dance? You beat #1 "overall" seed and you deserve to dance? KU plays like hell to overcome hell, and with one loss we may lose our #1 seed? Hell yes. This is what everyone wanted. They got it. I will be shocked if KU keeps #1 seed in Midwest. Lunardi "said" we clinched our seed with the 13th B12 Conf Championship. We'll see how the committee handles this loss.
This is the problem with NCAA March Madness. You can't reward a team for ONE big win, and then penalize an extremely consistent team for one bad loss. We all know KU will pay hell for this loss. Bill Self himself even said KU was not deserving of overall #1 seed. I knew this sheet would happen after the stupid #1 OVERALL albatross seed.
KU with Jackson on the bench
Allen is a triptomaniac. The urge to trip someone is overwhelming as a psychosis. He has a strange fetish to trip someone or even flop as to appear tripped. This is what triptomaniacs do and it's just bizarre behavior for an individual.

@truehawk93 It sounded like Chris Beard was plugging for Weber a bit. Its truly SAD when someone has to beg for their job in public like that.
Beard was plugging? defending? justifying? Where was this "plugging"?
@HawkChamp this is @jaybate-1.0 humor
Weber is a desperate man at a desperate program that will grab whatever they can to salvage what pride they possess, which isn't much. This is a really sad commentary to his pathetic career. He only dreams of wearing Bill Self's ties. Also, they will never live the AFH loss down. They will play that to the bitter end. Yet they lose again in Bramalage. I'm so sick of KSucks excuses for losing to KU.
It appears Weber's time at KSuck is coming to an end. Why would you go on a senseless tirade to defend your coaching for the year? He is truly the bottom of the B12 coaching list after this and it appears most KSuck fans agree.
This OSU win is a really great win and a bit of icing on the season. It breaks our long drought. I really enjoyed this win as much if not more than any other.
Bill Self - COY?
Mason - POY?
Jackson - FOY?
Dang REFS...this is home cooking....bwahahahahaha
Great honors all. Congrats to these and the entire team for a great regular season. Let's continue the B12 tourney one game at a time.
RCJHGOKU
@Crimsonorblue22 He's close and thought he looked pretty good against OSU recently. Let's hope he maintains and improved throughout the B12 tourney.
My fav Tarik memory
@tundrahok I'm voting for Frank, but it seems our votes are going to PKarn...Everyday I vote, it seems PK's votes increase and Franks remain the same. I think this online voting is rigged.
@drgnslayr Different note on another great Hawk, but Danny Manning and the Deacs are hanging at home with L'ville.
Danny Manning and the Miracle Deacons...Can they do it?
@DanR Yeah...I'd look out for KU too, just sayin'
@Crimsonorblue22 He is a little heavy on O and didn't see much D in this vid
