@BShark And Manfred allows a playoff series to start at 1:30 in the afternoon while the major market teams get prime time slots during the same week.

@AsadZ Now I know why the Sox lost so many games! ALC is a juggarnaut! What's funny is the Royals and Tigers probably don't make the playoffs if the Sox had offered up some resistance and won a few games against both of those teams.

@BShark Thanks, I don't read up on the team as much as others. I hope Storr gets that message because if he does become a more complete player he'll leave a mark on this program.
@AsadZ Averaged 4 per game. Not sure what Bill's requirement is but 17 points a game against very good competition is relevant too.
@approxinfinity We won 5 out of our last 6 sir and therefore our percentage is better than the 62 Mets and some other crappy team from way back!
Royals went 12-1 against us, like theyre not even a playoff team without the Sox! Funny thing is the Twins went 12-1 also against us but still couldn't turn it into a playoff berth. Detroit is also in playoffs because of us.
It's been a long two years on the south side, probably won't be much better next year either. I quit on the team and couldn't help but start watching again. Looking forward to the playoffs and seeing some teams win and lose.
From what I saw of Storr last year in Madison I can't imagine him not starting, warts and all. He'll provide a lot of scoring. Double digits in all but two early season games. Scored 94 in the BIG tournament. But like I said he's got some warts. Maybe competition for minutes, which wasn't present last year, will cause him to refine his game enough so that he can stay on the floor without the head coach tossing him off the top of the campanile in frustration some day.
Couldn't watch because of ESPN+, but that was painful to listen to. Hanni must have said 20 times he eludes the tackler, about 10 times ..receiver open..pass just misses...refs will rule this in our favor...ooh they missed that call.
This team has lost 4 in a row now that have all been winnable. This one it did sound like TCU was clicking on offense, but the replay reviews. One if they give it to us we get a first inside the red zone. The other we stop a drive that they're scoring on. I just don't know. Pretty disappointing.

I'm still wishing that the Morgantown thunderstorm had held off. We had so much momentum before that. I couldn't watch after the storm. DVR didn't know where to find it but defensively we faced a suddenly well rested and presumably well coached team that caught their breath and got their offense going again.
@dylans Too bad he didn't decide to sit out before our game! At this point taking a win over a 2nd string QB may have been what we needed to kickstart the season.
@dylans I was looking for the rest of the schedule when I made my post. Saw nothing about the B12 schedule.
BTW, the best way to afford a game is to wait until 15-20 minutes before game time and look for people desperate to sell tickets on Stubhub/SeatGeek/etc. Price drops. This has worked since scalpers sold tickets to gladiators fighting lions. Failproof!
@nuleafjhawk I would never block you because every 4th comment is a gem that makes me laugh! Now if I could figure out how to block the other 3 we'd be in business! TBH it was your 'no one gives a crap' comment about KU football that irked me a bit. I think we do give a crap, and as frustrating as this season has beenwearethisclose to being undefeated instead of 1-3. Hoping things get turned around and we can see you turn over a nuleaf! Cheers!

And after that? Strangely the athletic department hasn't listed any more games beyond the 14th! But 6 great games in the first month+ of the season? Yes please.

8 yard patterns to the sidelines will cut up a defense if the throws are there. The part of the game I saw today was lacking any sort of accuracy on those throws. The completions led to immediate tackles out of bounds. Zero chance for YAC. All of those skilled wideouts must be getting frustrated not being able to get the big plays.
Oh boy, just got home. Couldn't find the last 10 minutes on my DVR. Looked up the score at KUSports and well, crap. About to start to doubt Lance Leipold. I lack to brain waves to figure out how to coach the boys to hold an 11 point lead with 6 minutes left, but I'm thinking there's got to be a way. I'm glad i didn't watch. Would've been interesting to see what a difference the delay may have had. We were clearly rolling on Defense throughout the 2nd half until the delay, then they must have come out with their 2nd wind.

Been able to watch the 2nd half. Unfortunate momentum killer with the lightning delay. I wonder if they’ll review the oob catch? They’ve got time to look it over and decide. D has been playing well though.

Watching Ill-Nebby and Illini are going toe to toe with them in Lincoln. Husker fans are pretty excited sensing a revival of Husker football. They had a remote learning day today so fans could, IDK, be better ready? for the game. Illinois if haven't remembered was a game that we actually should have won. We're a good team that hasn't figured out how to win thus far.
How are people feeling about tomorrow? Hard to believe this season has already gone off the rails, but 0-0 in the league means we can start it off the right way tomorrow. Stuff the run sounds like the important part tomorrow for our D. Two decent backs and a running QB.
Jalen might have an easy time with the WVU secondary from what I've read. Would be great to see him gain some confidence.
Safest call for me is an OT game like last time we were there. Then who knows.
This whole sordid affair is the first time in my life I've paid attention to a coordinator! Like knowing names, wishing they were gone, etc.
Jalen really needs to not let the first negative thing wreck his night. Seemingly has happened the last two games. A guy whom we've seen toss the ball with fairly good accuracy deep to open receivers suddenly becomes basically unable to complete any first down length passes.

The fact remains we're basically 2 INT's away from having a perfect season so far, and while the wins would have been still fairly ugly, they would have been wins and the general feeling is better. If these losses hasten Grimes removal from the staff (fat chance) then they might be worth it.
People can tweet anything and so I'll just repeat if this without fact checking. Grimes is 2-15 in his last 17 games as an OC.

I feel really stupid for telling friends around here who don't really know much of KU football nor care either, that: "This year KU is really talented and has a favorable schedule and could actually go undefeated. They'll probably lose a tight one or two, but this team is really full of exciting playmakers"
Well was I wrong!
There is some twitter noise on the goal line stand 4th down play that the officials just made it all up what happened there. The person tweeting it wasn't a KU fan but just thought we got screwed on that one. Shouldn't come down to us needing help from an official, but it was a largely looming play.
@rockchalkjayhawk The UNLV guy just fell down. Really didn't understand it. Announcers were calling it flop of the year, etc. Well I think our team is the flop of the year!
