Way to go Juando

Wounded Jayhawks game thread • Mar 02, 2024 06:39 PM

Why'd the ref just stop the game?

Wounded Jayhawks game thread • Mar 02, 2024 06:38 PM

Amazing how the game turns on some crappy calls. But here we come.

Wounded Jayhawks game thread • Mar 02, 2024 06:33 PM

Missed another moving screen call for at least the 3rd time this game. I mean Missi just hip checked DaJuan at the top of the key.

Wounded Jayhawks game thread • Mar 02, 2024 06:32 PM

@BeddieKU23 I think they're just ignorant. They're football fans, bball is just a hobby during the winter.

Wounded Jayhawks game thread • Mar 02, 2024 06:30 PM

@Zabudda They only have 23 points

Wounded Jayhawks game thread • Mar 02, 2024 06:29 PM

Wait did they overturn the out of bounds? Now I'm officially pissed, it was just off the record before.

Wounded Jayhawks game thread • Mar 02, 2024 06:28 PM

That was a horrible call Fran.

Wounded Jayhawks game thread • Mar 02, 2024 06:27 PM

Wounded Jayhawks game thread • Mar 02, 2024 06:20 PM

This lineup couldn't guard the Topeka ymca JV team.

Wounded Jayhawks game thread • Mar 02, 2024 06:19 PM

You just didn't win the NCAA's. You made a layup. Stop acting like a fool.

Wounded Jayhawks game thread • Mar 02, 2024 06:15 PM

Kevin making a defensive difference so far.

Wounded Jayhawks game thread • Mar 02, 2024 06:10 PM

Anyone see Top 10 last night?

Wounded Jayhawks game thread • Mar 02, 2024 06:09 PM

Another strange foul call.

Wounded Jayhawks game thread • Mar 02, 2024 06:05 PM

Foul? since when is a travel a foul on us?

Wounded Jayhawks game thread • Mar 02, 2024 06:04 PM

@Crimsonorblue22 Yes, I saw that screen too. So far refs letting a lot go.

Wounded Jayhawks game thread • Mar 02, 2024 06:04 PM

Wounded Jayhawks game thread • Mar 02, 2024 05:59 PM

Playing well out the gate here. Some here really thought we'd be better with Kevin coming off the bench.

Wounded Jayhawks game thread • Mar 02, 2024 05:57 PM

Air Dickinson

Wounded Jayhawks game thread • Mar 02, 2024 05:55 PM

Fran says you've got to shoot the ball.

Wounded Jayhawks game thread • Mar 02, 2024 05:53 PM

Let's get this!

Wounded Jayhawks game thread • Mar 02, 2024 05:48 PM

Wow on the Badgers pregame they honored Howard Moore. He was a very good assistant coach for Bo and Gard and nearly died in a car accident, but was severely hurt. He lost his wife I believe and a child. He is severely disabled. Startling to see him in this condition. For the 2nd time in a week the Badgers play at the same time as the Jayhawks grrrr...

Wounded Jayhawks game thread • Mar 02, 2024 03:29 PM

@BeddieKU23 The road has been strangely tough for teams all across the land this year, seemingly more so than others. That's the factor that tilts this one against us I think. But it made no difference to BYU of course.

Wounded Jayhawks game thread • Mar 02, 2024 02:58 PM

Is anyone predicting a KU victory today? We certainly are in a cool spell that we haven't really seen in quite some time.

Kevin iffy again it sounds like? As others have said sacrificing wins now may be our best bet for success in March.

I'm looking forward to seeing the new arena at Baylor today. Kind of surprised but kind of not to see the low seating capacity. It reminds me of our plans to build a low capacity football stadium.

Anyways, enjoy the game bucketeers! It's only sports, don't let another tough one ruin your Saturday!

BYU Thread • Feb 29, 2024 03:45 AM

@BeddieKU23 I have hope that Bills words with Fran are truly spoken by Fran. He said he's not going to have such a thin roster again.

We don't talk abou this enough. Kind of hard to blame him when you look at all the transfers. This is all a moot discussion I think if even half of those guys stick around. In my mind Yesofu and pettaway (sorry if my spelling is wrong) were interchangable. Even one of the two bigs (again, we hardly knew them, Zuby and ??) sticks around. These things happen at least we have a bench.

BYU Thread • Feb 28, 2024 05:42 PM

I honestly think Bill Self's worst 'coaching' move was taking a known risk like Arterio Morris. Bill finds a different guy in the portal than him, and Kevin stays healthy, then we have a really nice squad with 3-4 losses max and debating people if we should be the #1 overall seed. Bill recruited some low character guys in the early to mid 2o10's and finally seemed to get back to bringing in guys with good character and 2022 happened as a result, well guys with good character who could play basketball really well too!

1st round exit we hear people say. Among all the other superlatives our program garners, going back to 2006 when we last lost a first rounder, we probably have the longest 1st round win streak in the land too. Here's betting it lasts again, unless Kevin can't play, then it's 50-50 we survive even in the 1st round.

BYU Thread • Feb 28, 2024 03:27 AM

He's an idiot

BYU Thread • Feb 28, 2024 03:25 AM

@kuballin10 Congrats! You get prognosticator of the year. Bet you're proud!

McCullar out vs Baylor • Feb 28, 2024 03:23 AM

@BeddieKU23 Funny thing about tonight is I thought we'd lose 3 based on having a road game tonight. Obviously I was mistaken about the location.

McCullar out vs Baylor • Feb 27, 2024 09:40 PM

Our remaining schedule is a killer and if form holds true to what we've done on the road we're going to lose 3 more reg season games. The schedule makers really gave us a tough one this year. Simien was talking about it on the podcast. From later Saturday home games to a Big Monday date in traditionally tough places to play two weekends in a row. Home and Home with the toughest teams in the league too. I'm sure some other big 12 teams have had similar misfortunes in scheduling. So I'll so the usual whine from me, they should have left us at 10 teams.

Jayhawks in the pros • Feb 27, 2024 03:45 AM

@rcjhdraft Interesting, but we want Johnny still!

Jayhawks in the pros • Feb 27, 2024 03:10 AM

Looks like Gradey has found his groove a bit in Toronto. 4-4 on 3's tonight, 18 points for the 2nd game in a row and 3rd time in 5 games. Gradey is averaging 10.4 per game in February. They wouldn't be talking about UConn as a favorite again if Gradey had stayed for another season. Same two games teammate Ochai has gotten 13 and 14 points.

2024 NFL Offseason - FAs, Trades, Draft • Feb 26, 2024 10:06 PM

@AsadZ Yes the pressure is pretty high. Their front office gets reminded a lot about passing on Patrick Maholmes in the draft. I don't know if Caleb is PatM but they'll probably not pass on him at risk of making another draft mistake.

2024 NFL Offseason - FAs, Trades, Draft • Feb 26, 2024 05:37 PM

Bears are dumb to let Fields go and roll back the rebuild again with a pretty solid core there now. But they're par for the course in this city of garbage teams run by garbage owners.

Other bball games • Feb 25, 2024 09:23 PM

Sore point in these parts I'm sure, but anyone remember this 'court storming'. My how times have changed!

Other bball games • Feb 25, 2024 08:45 PM

@dylans I'm gonna flop the next time my wife bumps into me. I'll report back to you about it!

Other bball games • Feb 25, 2024 01:12 PM

Same morons are saying Filipowski was tripping kids, shoving kids, etc. I just can't believe the irrational people who can't see what is so plain to see.

Other bball games • Feb 25, 2024 01:08 PM

@kjayhawks Bull crap. Clark got ran into and we're all fortunate she didn't get hurt.

SEND TEXAS TO SEC WITH A BIG AFH LOSS • Feb 25, 2024 02:00 AM

And alas, no viewing on Tuesday because of fricking ESPN+. Maybe we probably lose, but maybe not? I'd love to watch, but not gonna pony up because I've already given ESPN a bunch of money since 2000 as a subscriber.

SEND TEXAS TO SEC WITH A BIG AFH LOSS • Feb 25, 2024 12:24 AM

I swear they just talked about Duke at the half and talking about it again. Again, no Duke bias ESPN?

SEND TEXAS TO SEC WITH A BIG AFH LOSS • Feb 25, 2024 12:23 AM

Would have been nice for our slim conference championship hopes for Baylor to not have choked away a win today.

SEND TEXAS TO SEC WITH A BIG AFH LOSS • Feb 25, 2024 12:18 AM

@wissox said in SEND TEXAS TO SEC WITH A BIG AFH LOSS:

27 minutes into and we've only been whistled 3 times for fouls

Oh good grief the refs saw what I wrote.

SEND TEXAS TO SEC WITH A BIG AFH LOSS • Feb 25, 2024 12:17 AM

Turnovers for 2nd half dessert tonight.

SEND TEXAS TO SEC WITH A BIG AFH LOSS • Feb 25, 2024 12:08 AM

We'd like to decline the penalty and accept the layup result

SEND TEXAS TO SEC WITH A BIG AFH LOSS • Feb 25, 2024 12:07 AM

A little complacent with the big lead. Sometimes I'd just really like to see us win a game by 40

SEND TEXAS TO SEC WITH A BIG AFH LOSS • Feb 25, 2024 12:06 AM

If I was 7 2 I wouldn't find the need to jump much
