Mari and Kelly both got slugged last night. Brandon walked to the other end of the court with his hands on his face then collapsed in front of Self while the trainer?doctor? ran out to him. Self went out to him and told the ? to take him to the locker room. With real scary concussions going on at the Phogg, Here is what Marcus Smart was doing last night.
[Smart Move](
I was at the game in the cheap seats, up high and out of breath.
* We have a point guard this year.
* Cliff is an explosion in a sea of calm.
* I thought Hunter played better than Lucas.
* At whatever height Svi is, he is a better ball handler than Greene or Oubre.
* Traylor is Self's favorite player.
* Small ball is better this year.
* Seldon needs to find a position.
* Playing in the World Games, Svi was the least nervous 17 year old on on the court.
* Listening to the wrap up on the way home, Norm Roberts was asked about the great shooting technique of Svi, Norm said, "we like how he handles and distributes better."
* True fans were there last night with the Arena packed except for the Leather chairs in the middle. Well, just an exhibition.
@KULA Conner was not promised the moon. He was an early commit to KU and Like all Kansans, we wished he would make the team. Creighton was the only other team that was truly pursuing him. Seldon and Wiggins fell into the mix later. No one was pleased with the point guard situation last year and as much as I was encouraged by the Stanford game, I'm not at practice everyday. If you feel that Bill is a Dick, that's fine, but speculating an embarrassment in the future, should include in that paragraph what that event might be. I've read all your post and you are not a Homer, more of a glass half empty is what I perceive. No one has a better winning percentage than coach. If you were the AD, would you call him into your office and tell him he's a Dick and that you are worried about a future embarrassment without giving him a reason?
LET THE GAMES BEGIN!
Jaybate, with your literary acumen, would you please invite Olivia to join our band of bloggers. Her perspective would be a refreshing.
AWIII will be great in the Big 10.!Capture.PNG ↗
Devonte must be very, very good for this to happen. Good luck
Conner. Show the world what you can do.

I really think that Hosmer is Pollard's son.
Dad Gum Dad Gum, I feel the same way.!images.jpg ↗
Now it seems like McCants was telling the truth.
I miss the Jimmy Chitwood days and Converse.
There should be African American Studies, but it should be a real College level class with a classroom, a teacher, tests, and the ability to fail from non-attendance. Some fields of study seem to be easier than Astrophysics but as Jaybate stated instituted racism is a dis-service to all.
When Lew Alcindor first met John Wooden, Wooden was at his desk looked up, shook his hand and said, "Make sure you go to class."
Perry and Cliff look like they could be Devonte's father.
This might be legal?
Last year against Pittsburgh State, AWIII started the game for KU. He ended up with 15 points, 4 rebounds and drained two 3's giving smiles to all who thought that it was now his time. Will there be a starter that will suprises us like when Traylor started with MacLemore after his redshirt season. Will there be another situation like AWIII's this year, and will there be another surprise starter like the last two years? Will Conner start because of his last outing against Stanford? Will Mickelson be rewarded like Mari for doing the red shirt thing? Rather than go to a bar where Time Warner lives, I'll attend the games that are blacked out this year and quit my pity party. Like Seldon, I wish the Washburn game was today.
Right on, Shut your mouth!
Although the quantity of sex was, I'm sure a hyperbole, SNL did a skit about this when the actual amount was divided into days with him having 5 partners a day. The skit had a different women come into the bedroom as the previous one was leaving. Kareem might have been the guest host.
So sorry Jo Jo. Dedicate your NBA career to making him proud.

Self was on 610 this a.m. and said there would be less high/low this year because of the size factor and that ball handling and speed will be the priority on offense. This seems to be the big factor in Greene being used only when opponents have the big boys in. I don't think Brandon will be left out of the minutes this year.
Final 4 - Wisconsin, Kansas, Arizona, Kentucky
This showed up this morning this morning on twitter.
I knew things were going to get better at Wake Forest, I didn't think these kinds of recruits would come before Danny's first season. There seems to be as much love for Danny on the East coast as there is in the Midwest. What he did in two years at Tulsa to get them back in the tournament was an eye opener.

If anyone would like to understand why KU BUCKETS has become so increasingly successful, read this blog. We starts with observations on our new Ukrainian from a video that show warts as well greatness. I'd much rather see this type of video than the Rock/Rap highlight reel. When you think you can't take anymore of this addiction feeding machine, Jaybate offers us the Soul version of a Rosemary Clooney song that illustrates how Coach Self will Accentuate the Positive and eliminate the Negative.
For me , Jaybate, same stories, different venues. In our minds, we're watching technicolor memories etched by lightning, but to others, they are home movies. Tell It Like It Is - Aaron Neville brings back a sadness from 1966 and Etta James makes me smile. There are two things, other than my family, that bring me great joy in life. Fresh tomatoes and Jayhawk Basketball.!collage.jpg ↗
Svi is finally here. He will be a very big part of this team. We know, Svi is the child of two Professors, he speaks English fluently, he has traveled around the world playing basketball for his country. At age 17, he was asked to join his National team. He is very tall for such an ambidextrous, skilled, ball handler. From what I've seen, he will be able to create his own shot better than anyone else on the team. The criticism's written about him is that he always seems to find the most difficult shot. In an interview with him in Seattle last year, at age 16, he spoke and seemed more mature than someone twice his age. Also, he doesn't shoot the 2 well, but over 40% from three. My question is, When will Svi begin to make his mark at KU? Will we have to wait for Andrea to do her Magic or will he be able to come back from the Pro's to play a High/Low System in the Big 12.
This article has Self talking about using a line up that features his quickest, fastest team. Ball handling skill will have a new priority in what determines playing time for each of these players.
A surprise must also be a surprise to you. Connor's last three game's let Self realize that Tharp did not take care of the ball like CF did and CF finally got the order to create his own shot and start shooting it. IMO CF is a much better shooter off a Pick and use's his dribble off of a screen to get open. Self's career as a guard will let us know quickly in the early games who will be getting the minutes, but in the camp game video Conner was finding his own shot and hitting 3's like he did against Stanford almost single-handedly taking over a game and have an incredible move to get wide open in a shot to win, it had to be taken quickly and you showed everyone on the team that although it didn't go in (very long and quick to beat buzzer) you had the "I want the ball" mentality. I'll take that in anyone. That's when I knew Conner will play a lot of minutes this year.
Like half of the Jayhawk fans in Kansas City and all of the Jayhawk fans west of Topeka to the Colorado line, 6 games were taken away from us because of the sin of not signing up with Time Warner Cable. Hopefully, the wealthy Alums in Western Kansas have spoken to the A.D. and Chancellor about this. At my advanced age, I did go to a bar to nurse a beer and Onion Rings, only to have the TV shut off for Karaoke at halftime.
All I have to do to stay at home and watch the Hawks is to pay a penalty to opt out of the present cable system that I am happy with to sign up for a new offer with TIme Warner for $98 with free HBO with only a two year contract where the $98 deal expires after 6 months and returns to the Max cost of $120 for the same programming.
Almost All Kansan's west of Topeka are in the same boat. Hopefully the locals won't be penalized for the wonderful ability to let Jayhawk fans around the world watch the team by only screwing the fans that live in the state or are part of the 56% of Kansas City residents that do not have Time Warner.
Jessie, or somebody, please tell me that this has been taken care of.
He's also been working out with Hudy.
Step up Jaybate.
This takes away some of the Summer Time Blues.
Wayne Selden 330+ lbs.
Andrea sent us this to make us smile.
What an incredible recruiting advantage and what a great jump into next season with practices with the team and the new super recruits that all the other schools won't be getting. The other great thing about this is that KU still gets their one in four years Summer trips which also puts us miles ahead of other teams, especially the new kids. HOME RUN ALL AROUND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
All time starting five
Wilt Chamberlain
Jo Jo White
Kirk Hinrich
Danny Manning
Paul Pierce
I would still have Wilt playing at age 40.
@jaybate 1.0 Bo's team looked like what we had in 2008. I think I too would rather have the Wisconsin style than even Uconn's. It also reminded me of what playing for Self more than one year can accomplish. Even without Wiggins, I doubt that AWIII would have become a faster ball handler. Self wants a guard that resembles Bill Self at OSU.
No he does not resemble Pistol Pete. Here is rare footage of Maravich in College:
This ranks high on my Jayhawk Serenity scale for this coming year. The loss of JoJo, the lack of Point Guard, and the Freshman curve hurt the team last year. Having Devonte and a depth at point guard feels good. This was what worried me the most and this Instagram took away those feelings.
@jaybate 1.0 Boy did you stretch for that one.
@Lulufulu85 I read that AWIII is getting attention from Nebraska.
@wissoxfan83
No age limit and he must take the SAT's, but he's very smart with two Phd. parents and he can take the test in Ukrainian or English.
@oldalum I'd rather he be with the National team playing with Pro's 10 years older than he. In watching all of his video, I realize that these are simply the highlights, but I've been amazed by his ball handling and I honestly can't figure out if he is left or right handed. He has a left hand dunk from 8 feet away then an right handed dunk in the next clip, he goes right or left equally well. Brandon and Ben were both handicapped by only being able to go one direction. But then I calm down and back away from extreme expectation when I remember that he won't turn 17 until next month.
