I'm saying AJ played horrible defense against Creighton, in particular Isaacs. Hand down man down.
Pop Isaacs out for the year, having surgery on his hip. Fried us (AJ Storr) on a bad hip unreal.
It is assumed at this point that the deal is done. Mainly because Thamel wouldn't put it out there otherwise.

-- That was IMO the worst coaching night i can recall by Bill Self. This loss is mainly on him for absolutely not adjusting to give his team a chance to win. That shocks me given he's in the HOF.

Dajuan took lots of shots, but if you're a long time watcher, you can see most WERE NOT his usual shots. he was reaching/trying too hard at more awkward angles than usual because of the crowded lane.
That's where others needed to step up and drive the lane and dunk on somebody's head to either make them change defensive strategy or draw a freaking non existent foul. This has to change. we have to get to the line more.
I have had moments of praise for Zeke so far this season, but i've also had some concern. I don't know how to describe the concerns though. What is it? aggressiveness? Effort? Skill? None of the above?
I realize it's just a loss, but there were things that seemed very broken last night. Hope they can be fixed.
Yeah it was a weird game from Bill. He cares about some games more than others. The fact that he put in Zach had me speechless and told me a lot.
The flu is running through the team, I think that was a factor with Hunt as he looked lethargic even by his standards.
Creighton definitely invited KU to shoot midrange shots over their length, good gameplan.
Zeke hesitates too much I feel.
@kjayhawks AJ Storr is very uninterested on D and Diggy is tiny. Rylan is at least engaged.
Game looked worse than it was, not that some will care. Make or miss game obviously.

Meh. We were red hot the previous two games and due for a bad shooting game. Team also has a flu bug running through it. I'm not overly concerned but yes we should of had someone other than AJ on Pop.

I don't think we have had anyone since maybe Devonte Graham who is hitting that late in the clock (and game, very clutch) middy off script against Duke.
@wissox he at least plays well and contributes when his shot isn't falling. Rebounding, passing, playing within the offense as well as creating unscripted. Self seems to love him which is interesting to me. One minute less than Juan and three less than KJ so far.
If he keeps playing at this level we will be hard to beat. I hope and think Mayo will start shooting a bit better.

Having guys that care about the front of the jersey matters a lot. I have heard KJ and Juan have been huge with helping everyone integrate.
@FarmerJayhawk Yeah Dajuan Harris is actually our best player. Rylan and AJ are playing within themselves for the most part now, big system adjustment for both.
Zeke is right there with Juan and KJ in minutes played. That probably doesn't get discussed enough. Deep in the Circle of Trust :trade_mark:
@kuballin10 He was excellent two years ago. Last year he had a lingering foot injury and the overall roster wasn't very good. Last year was objectively his worst year.

Really difficult now. They were talking about maybe getting him back by the new year. Makes it harder to mesh but he clearly has more of a P4 body and Coit. He has also already proven it at this level.

Chaminade had appeared in every Maui Invitational from 1984 to 2017, but that changed in 2018. That season, the tournament changed things up so that Chaminade will play in the "Mainland" bracket in even years but return to the Maui bracket on odd years.
Analysis
KU is good wow. But seriously I haven't felt this good about the team since 22.
We really went from Timby and Parker Braun to Rylan (or Storr) and Flory off the bench. :)
