My take on Juan:

He is not most gifted aesthetically.

He doesn't shoot trey great.

But, somehow, KU look so much better when he is at PG.

He just makes the whole thing run infinitely better. It's fascinating.

I really like Dybantsa and they are a clear cut 1/2 imo (lol at Jamie Shaw's rankings, I won't even go there...) with Peterson making a real push for the top spot.

Definitely a method to the madness but I watched this game and I saw guys overthinking instead of just playing basketball. The new to the program guys especially. Now, I don't watch every game for other programs but it seems to be much less of an issue integrating new players from what I've watched of other teams.

Some people will blab about Bill's "system" but I think that is largely bullcrap and he needs to get with the times a bit given how many new players we seem to have every year. If he needs a team full of guys he has had for 3+ years to do anything in March that is an issue.

@BeddieKU23 Against a lot of teams I am not sure if we can get away with it on defense. Flory is still totally lost on that end but I think works best as the main big.

@kuballin10 had some convos today and sounds like Bill is testing the new guys to see how "tough" they are with how they respond to being yanked. What is very interesting to me is that Zeke is immune to it seemingly.

I'm close to going full KUballin10. That's the most upset with basically a 20 point win I can remember being. There is a lot of truly alarming stuff happening that sometimes makes me wonder how the hell Bill won so many games.

Hunt is unguardable when we play four out

Shot isn't falling for Zeke lately but he still plays hard and impacts the game.

Easily the best thing we got from this game. Weird to have 3 competent guards. Team is as deep as any I can remember.

He always plays this many early, especially in games where we will win anyway. He knows it will be trimmed by conference play but compared to last year the minutes for the big three should hopefully be down.

Won a game where we were sleep walking by 21 and would have been more if Bill didn't call off the dogs with 4 minutes to go.

KJ Adams is a better basketball player than Coleman Hawkins.

Coleman through three games at KSU looks...exactly how he did at Illinois. The idea of Coleman is better than the actual basketball player. Oh and shockingly, guards from Cal State Fullerton and UIC don't look great against real comp. But they go back to playing Slap Dick State and Grab Ass Tech after this, so they can have more more feel good wins. Their roster is very strange, loaded up on middling big men.

Last year when they played their "C" game they tended to get whipped. I'd say this is fair to call a C game or possibly worse. This team will get so much better.
