Lots of stuff you hear around Lawrence that doesn't make it to the boards. I really don't think it does much good so I'll just leave it at he failed to meet the standards of the KU basketball program and expectations Self had.

I suppose I can air it now that it’s not happening. Ernie wanted to come back, just never worked out on KU’s end. Zach was willing to do whatever, Ernie wanted more.
I heard he thought he should start over Hunter, and also thought he was a OAD right now. Just too fractured to be repaired, on both sides.

Well, it's not exactly a secret around Lawrence what happened last offseason.
I have a friend that worked at Sunrise who talked with Zach today. Sounds like his head is in the right place currently. I also wonder if there were any stipulations for his return regarding his mom. I haven't heard anything in that regard but maybe @FarmerJayhawk has.

I'm telling you all, Jamari might be the best player for KU in the class. Elmarko and Marcus probably won't be around long enough to make that huge an impact. Jamari has the best shot at being that Ochai type dude. Just his ball skills right now... WOOF.

Udeh was bad, no offensive game at all. He couldn't beat out 6'5'' KJ Adams for the spot. Mentioned this in the other thread but I think we will miss Zuby more down the line than Udeh. Could be wrong on this obviously.
I think Parker's stat line will be in line with one of Mitch's better seasons* which is fine. I'm going off watching him play, not what Bill is saying.
*So around 4pts/3rebs a game on 10-12 minutes.

Think it’s gonna be tough to get any of those 4 out of the starting line up.
Juan, Kev, and KJ could make the all bill self team for guys that “get it” whatever “it” is that makes self want to play guys.
Those guys with an actual big behind them that will allow them to be more aggressive guarding the ball and getting into passing lanes is going to be fun and create a fair bit of its own offense even if they can’t shoot.
Bill's recruiting actions tell me otherwise with KJ. Contacting every available 4 man with a pulse lately. Now, we'll see if he actually goes ahead and gets one.
I wouldn't quite go that far but Kevin returning is huge. The thing about Hunter is we needed an offensive hub/engine, star power and he adds that. All the returning guys are glue guys.
