@wissox Pretty sure Sunrise doesn't get to play in the state tournament.
This one isn't KU related but holy crap this is the worst/most lop-sided of these I've EVER seen. Someone should be fired over this tbh. The BLATANT disrespect for the left group in even asking this question. :skull:

KU is all but out here.
Can you expand on that?
I'm guessing good news on another front...
Holyfield to Illinois seems likely.
@drgnslayr Wasatch was STACKED. Man, Dante looks good as well though.
@drgnslayr He reminds me of Devonte just a little bit shorter.
@FarmerJayhawk I'm worried based on what I've seen. He's a big time brick mason and he's got a handler and they are going to be focused on his brand and want him to be taking shots.
@Marco Gut feeling? I think if the staff is really getting back in there with Precious then they certainly think the news is going to be bad for Silvio. This would be an absolute 180 from recent vibes.

I think he's a good fit for Self. McBride is as well. Braun I could see transferring out but I hope he sticks around.
Going to go on record now that I don't really want Precious. I'm sure if he ends up at KU that I will jedi mind trick myself but I just don't see it with him in one year. His ranking seems purely based on potential. I think it would end up being a similar situation to Cheick.

@FarmerJayhawk I thought it was done to Memphis. Not sure I buy this especially after KU just took Enaruna.
This is why we resigned with Adidas right? Did that new contract also come with a new bag man?
Well it sure as shit won't be the guy that got caught anymore lol.
Probably just a coincidence that recruiting has REALLY picked up after finalizing that deal though...

just turned into another Myron Piggie story.
I believe I said something to this extent when it all started about people falling on the sword. This set-up is currently still too big to fail. Too much $ on the line.
@justanotherfan @FarmerJayhawk Basically, getting back is how I'd put it. Now that the trial is over and it was a huge
everyone should be back to business as usual. Next class will hopefully be really good.@FarmerJayhawk I thought it was done to Memphis. Not sure I buy this especially after KU just took Enaruna.

I live right near Lake Michigan. Last night after running I walked home along the beach and about half of the beach is gone because the lake has gone up that high from winters snow melt and heavy spring rains. I suspect you're going to hear some shoreline erosion stories in the next couple of years on the GL's.
What I learned from living in the south is one road i often drove was a windy two laner with severe ditches and the road would flood. While I knew there wasn't feet of water on the road, you really couldn't tell where the pavement was and the threat of driving into one of the deep ditches full of water was enough to make me turn around.
Y'all be safe. TURN AROUND DON"T DROWN!
One of my life goals is to have a vacation home on Lake Michigan. So I hope it doesn't erode too fast lol.
The best part about lake front property is you can always get someone to overpay when you are done with it.
Not a big Parrish fan but...

I'm waiting to see us make a few final moves to really round out the roster. Ben Watson apparently is an option as TE2 and Jamie Collins rumors have been swirling for a few days.
I'd be pretty okay with Collins. The defense might actually be good, looking at all the new players.
@Kcmatt7 THIS IS A PURE RECRUITMENT SIR.*
*Only if he ends up at KU obvs.
FarmerJayhawk said:
Hold onto your butts. This one could be over pretty soon.
Today soon or Billy/Silvio soon? :p
Where are you? Not there I presume since you said you didn't get much.
FarmerJayhawk said:
I think @BShark brought this up earlier, but I think KU likes Nah'Shon Hyland a lot. I donβt know if heβs waiting on a Kansas offer, but if he is and things go sideways with R.J., he can come in and compete right away.
I'm greedy so I want him too. We have enough open schollies right? Ahahahaha.
But yeah I could see where he wouldn't want to come in and RS.

Heating up. He mentioned the overseas talk and money. Name dropped T Ferg route.
It's fine I'm old so I have some radios.
@FarmerJayhawk I never could get that to work. I've tried before for RC Sports Talk. I'm on the newest FF so I really don't get it either.

I'd take another Wiggins or Oubre, provided they stick around so we can get to know them.
Enaruna is definitely not OAD, barring the transfer variant of OAD. I sure hope he toughs it out at KU.
FarmerJayhawk said:
FYI, Jerry Meyer will be on KLWN in about 10 minutes talking RJ.
1320 am right?
@FarmerJayhawk It's just going to create unrealistic expectations from more casual fans tbh. :/
FarmerJayhawk said:
It's harder in the U.S. context. DoJ spent like a gazillion dollars looking at the effects of the "assault weapons" ban and found exactly nada in terms of effects on homicide rates and crime. Australia also doesn't have a bill of rights so the government can do about whatever it wants.
But anyhoo. Australia is a lot of fun. Beaches are great.
Yeah sorry for getting on this bullshit. I almost went deeper too.
BACK TO RJ!
Kcmatt7 said:
@dylans like the U.S. if we had Universal Healthcare and Stricter Gun Control Laws, Half the cost to attend College (with better repayment plans) and a higher minimum wage.
But I do agree, I love the Australian spirit and attitude towards everyday life.
This is weird but since Australia tightened up their gun laws killing went way down.
Meanwhile there were two major school shootings in the last week or so in the US.
This is really hard to figure out, going to require more time and research.

The NCAA had a distinct interest in having this verdict play out this way. There's no way they want their major programs all being brought down on something like this.

Ferguson got paid $500K to go play overseas. I'd imagine RJ is getting offered at least that, probably closer to $750k.
Ironically if he really wants to play he should pick KU instead of overseas. Lots of grown ass men in China and Australia.
Based on previous players who took this route these seem to be the likeliest two. Personally I'd take Australia over China for too many reasons to count.
Kcmatt7 said:
Very likely all this did was help bag guys and coaches figure out how to pay players without it being illegal.

Was excited we got Enaruna based on the competition tbh. If we do land RJ, it's back on like Donkey Kong.
Results are out and LOL. Nothing will happen, resume paying players.
KU twitter has exploded today. It's the hottest mess as Mitch and Chris Teahan are screwing with everyone. Love it.
FarmerJayhawk said:
Just Scott Chasen. I like Scott, but he's in the dark other than a morsel here or there from the staff.
He's a beat writer is the way I like to put it.
KUSTEVE said:
@BShark Is he that far behind?
I don't think we want him playing more than 10 minutes a game. The tools are there he just needs time in Bill's oven.
That said I fully expect KU to have better options available.
KUSTEVE said:
I'm thinking Dotson/RJ/Ochai/Tristan/Doke.
We are in big trouble if Enaruna is starting imo.
Excited for him long term however.

Do we play them this year?
I'm just going to assume the Big12/SEC challenge is rigged so that we always play Kentucky once and I'm fine with that.

I'm still of the belief that KU isn't getting Hampton. I think no matter where Tucker goes, he's going to be featured offensively.
WHAAAAAA? - -now why you thinking we are not getting Hampton?
KU is firmly in the lead for Hampton. Heβll announce a decision at the end of the month and hopefully be on campus in June.
There are caveats and you know it. :p
