Just feels inevitable tbh.

Bill definitely won't say no.

NOT Remy?! • Mar 22, 2022 12:18 PM

@stoptheflop said in NOT Remy?!:

Who knows the real deal with Self and Remy? Besides the non-hug, I noticed that when Remy came out of the Creighton game at one point he walked by a standing Self and looked at him. Self ignored him and looked down court. It was a point where a coach should have said something encouraging, like "way to go." I don't get it. Maybe Self's slights are just meant to keep Remy more even-tempered, less exhuberate. ??????

I'm shocked how few firings there have been.

  • Haase
  • Tinkle
  • Pastner
  • Capel
  • Collins

All seem like guys that should be shown the door.

Have you seen Tinkle's contract? 14M buyout I kid you not.

@BShark

Agree he looks decent but not a need for us. I have seen his initial contact list and its long..

I can understand why teams are interested but there are warning signs here. Main one is 0.9 DBPM in the WAC. The counting stats are bananas though and he will have a nice payday I am sure.

@Crimsonorblue22 said in 2023 Recruiting:

@BShark could they fire him?

They always can because it is Kentucky but it would hurt big time financially.

Biggest name on the market so far- Fardaws Aimaq, Utah Valley WAC player of the year, 6'11 245 mountain averaged 18ppg 13 rebounds per game. Going to have one of the longest lists out there..

I am not impressed with him. If we were desperate for a big sure, but thankfully we are not.

FYI KU hasn't been one of the programs to contact Allen yet. Probably due to the fact we are still playing LOL

Calipari has a lot of time on his hands these days.

Disregard. Stats are good but he is a head case.

Non-KU Games • Mar 21, 2022 01:54 PM

@Kcmatt7 He also had legitimate family issues going on in his year here. Bad combo.

2021-22 PER's & Stats • Mar 21, 2022 01:53 PM

Fair point. He has been balling out hard.

We just have no need for Traore with what we have signed and what might return (Dave).

I know little about Allen besides he was interested in KU one day and committed to LSU the next. I just started grouping all these high rated kids going to LSU to lose and win nothing as caring about "other" things more then basketball..

Allen is good, worth taking. We made a decent offer but LSU was big balling.

Agree on Traore. He will cost a lot and we already have studs coming in. I'm torn on Dave, he would be our best big but on the other hand I'm excited for the new guys.

2021-22 PER's & Stats • Mar 21, 2022 01:47 PM

Imagine how much KP/Torvik would like us if we had March Remy all year. Lol.

@BShark

Yeah. Talented kid. Just don't see it.. Kids that commit to LSU, we are probably better off avoiding if you catch my drift

I know we have no shot at Traore and don't want to get involved in that kind of a recruitment currently but not even all LSU commits are the same.

Non-KU Games • Mar 21, 2022 01:45 PM

TCU was robbed.

Did Auburn just forget how to play defense today?

Such a waste of so much talent to be coached by Pearl

This is unreal bad.

Pearl only has 1 FF and he has had a ton of talent over the years.

@Kcmatt7 said in Non-KU Games:

@DCHawker well the next game is part of said path. Probably the 4 seed I would have hand picked to play out if the four choices

Agree.

Houston would be favored against us imo. I would want no part of UCLA and Arkansas is the kind of team that gives us fits.

Also, Bill has a VERY STRONG 25-3 record as an 8+ point favorite in the tournament. You can probably guess the only losses...

Non-KU Games • Mar 21, 2022 01:17 AM

@Kcmatt7 Absolutely. I went from low expectations to should make the FF if Miami wins tonight.

@BShark how often has he had a lumbering big guarding him all game?

Probably not often given how much Kalkbrenner played.

It's not a small sample size btw we are talking 3 attempts a game. 23 of 92 on the year coming into this one.
