Evan Daniels put his pick on Indiana. Usually reliable sort

We will see. Watching him destroy Big Dave for an entire game really opened my eyes. None of those guys ever did that to another McDs AA the way Carey just absolutely punked Dave.
Definitely, Carey is very good and well deserved of his reputation and ranking. If KU had any chance with this guy I would be all aboard trying to get him here. We may still have one last shot if Self gets to coach him this summer.
Big Dave likely wouldn't have been a MCD's AA in other classes according to many scouts and recruiting services. Credit to Dave for improving as much as he has to get the honor. My expectations for him are tempered until he gets coached up.
I do find it a good thing that Carey isn't stringing along KU interest which allows the staff to focus their attention on others they likely have a better chance in landing.
I don't see much difference in Carey then what Duke just had in Bagley/Carter or Zona with Ayton. OAD bigs very rarely transform teams into title contenders. Okafor and Davis seem to be the exception so far.
Grimes mocking at #6 in next year's draft makes it seem unlikely he'll be a multi-year player. We'll see if he plays up to the lofty projections they are making for him.

As long as I can have 911 waiting by to take me away of course
all aboard the Keegan train as well. Garbage boy at it again..

I asked again today and a guy I trust still is saying it’s done to KU.
If that's true, that will be one salty gym in some place in Indiana on the 30th.
I know @BShark and myself said we would do cartwheels and backflips if it was another recruit who landed at KU but I'm fully on board for doing one if Romeo signs with KU
This should actually make it to his attention. Not that he'd blink an eye but he deserves it
Ryan seems to think if RJ joins 19 and picks KU Markese would open it back up. Not an earth shattering statement to make given RJ is a Top 10 player in whatever class he decides on but one of the more vocal KU supporters in recent memory simply might be over-recruited..
Well we will know within the next 7 weeks. The combine invite is a big one, doesn't make a break his chances with the G-League changes but if his real goal is to make the NBA in a more traditional sense, another year at KU could be best.
Not only that, selfishly for KU's team next year it would give a lot more clarity to the rotation as we would know the D Law/Doke double would be happening. This would guard KU from needing another big regardless of what happens to Silvio and gives McCormack an equal to practice against for the next year.
Official. Could be a long wait before we know one way or the other
Can't complain if he moves to 19.

Yeah that was my main takeaway, that he is actively talking about who has the best chance to swipe him from KU. And look I get it KU is a dumpster fire but this is why early football commits don't mean much. Players are actively recruited while they are committed.
Agreed. Football recruiting is a mess and dumpster fire.
If FSU wants him they will get him. It was interesting that this kid came out and said a specific program could flip him. Not a good thing for KU football fans

Freaking football recruiting.
FSU just took a Top 100 QB so Legendre is one they like to be the 2nd QB in their class.
I don't believe a flip is likely at this moment until he visits or Walt Bell (FSU's QB coach and offensive coordinator visits him) but its clear he has his eyes elsewhere right now
Zach Johnson transfers to Miami. Immediately eligible
Eli Wright from Miss St to St Johns.
Matthew Moyer lands at Vandy. Tea leaves involving Romeo
UNC Asheville transfer Jonathan Bahre lands at Clemson
The 6-foot-3, 214-pound LeGendre said he’s talking with “mostly the head coach,” referring to Pruitt. He said he’s also still hearing plenty from Florida State and Alabama, and he admitted Florida State “probably has the best shot” to steal him away from Kansas at this point.

@KUSTEVE Gregg's wife probably gets handsy with them in the lockerroom.
You'd figure they would stick around for that kind of action.
McDuffie has never been a player to create his own shot. But yeah he's going to be their best player by a country mile.
I don't see anyway they will even have a winning record
What a dumpster fire for Greg. Has he been slingin Gin with Lynn or what?
I believe this benefits him more then staying.

Nothing is going to happen to KU, or Silvio. Worst case Silvio would be suspended for a game ... maybe. Sexton was suspended for a game.
Not the same circumstances. I hope this all settles itself but there is probably no clarity in sight
Doke of course.

Dotson #18 up 1 spot
McCormack #37 up 9 spots
Ochai #165 up 142 spots
Filthy Class!~
I cannot justify pushing for Bassey. I would stay far away given what's going on. Just my opinion.
Makes sense why they have had some many Juco's and under the radar recruits on campus lately. They just signed another, Dennis they think is a hidden gem
To further add, the Billy situation led to Silvio in this convoluted mess. Which ugly duck is worse? We didn't play one player we found to have eligibility concerns. But we ended pushing the other to come early and play only to find out his recruitment was full of back door dealings from the FBI. I fear the NCAA comes at KU and tries to connect the dots, especially if they rule Silvio ineligible a 2nd time around.
I agree with Bilas, there's no way a school can monitor everything or be expected to.
I liked his interview. I don't always agree with him but he made some good points.
Its disturbing if what's he saying about the basketball commission comes true, it doesn't solve the issues at all. But he was absolutely right, the money talks, the money will always win out.
Khavon Moore signs with Texas Tech taking that name off the table
Umass Center Malik Hines will grad transfer. Avg 9 and 6 with 65% FG.
Rumblings Quade Green could transfer home to play for LaSalle. Amused by this
Arizona nabs Pittsburgh transfer Ryan Luther.
This is going to be attractive to Doke no matter what. I still believe he's leaving
The G league announced on Tuesday that it was raising its base salary per player for the 2018-19 season to $7,000 per month for the five-month season, which works out to $35,000 salary for any given player.
Two-way contracts from the G League and the NBA, which sets their salary at $77,250 are up from this years rate as well
In addition to their salaries, players under NBA G League contracts will continue to have the opportunity to earn additional money through affiliate player bonuses and NBA Call-Ups. This season, about one quarter of players under NBA G League contracts also earned an average of $44,000 in NBA affiliate player bonuses – a total of more than $3 million on top of their NBA G League salaries. A record 50 NBA G League players earned a record 60 GATORADE Call-Ups to the NBA this season, generating earnings of more than $11 million, or approximately $225,000 per player.
The NBA G League also pays bonuses to players on NBA G League playoff teams and to those recognized as end-of-season performance award winners. The league awarded more than $225,000 in bonus money this season.
Further, in accordance with the NBA and National Basketball Players Association collective bargaining agreement, NBA players will continue to be able to enter into two-way contracts. NBA two-way players will earn $77,250, prorated for days spent on an NBA G League roster, and the NBA rookie minimum salary, prorated for the days with their NBA team, for maximum potential earnings of $385,000 next season. This season, 83 players across all 30 NBA teams signed two-way contracts.
Graham, a 6-foot-2 point guard from Raleigh, N.C., on Wednesday signed with CAA (Creative Arts Agency), which has U.S. offices in Los Angeles, Atlanta, Chicago, New York, Moorestown, N.J., and Jacksonville Beach, Fla.
Former KU standout Joel Embiid is represented by CAA, as well as Carmelo Anthony, Dwyane Wade, Chris Paul, Paul George, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Tony Parker and others.
Mykhailiuk re-tweeted a Twitter posting by SIG (Sports International Group), which revealed it had reached agreement with the 6-foot-8 forward from Ukraine.
SIG clients include former KU forward Tarik Black, plus Lauri Markkanen, Alex Len and others.
Meanwhile, former KU guard Malik Newman will announce his choice of an agent on Friday, his dad, Horatio Webster, said on Wednesday.
Brian Bowen declares for the draft but wants to play at South Carolina. These two things don't match.

In the All-Star games Romeo just looks bigger then he is. Definitely has the measurable's the NBA covets
Wasn't one of the comps for Grimes Gary Harris?
6,4 with a 6'7 wingspan doesn't hurt him. Those kind of measurable's would be killer if he was a full-time PG
Good stuff. Forgot how crazy Oubre's wingspan was. Certainly has helped him in the NBA
He is a big guard but no way is he a 4 type. He's not JJ
I think #5 is probably correct for him. He's got such a high skill level. From what I've seen he looks like a capable ball handler especially for his size. As @BShark mentioned this could be a player that plays multiple years in College which is the real benefit of possibly getting him. He'll be good as a freshman but could be a Big-12 POY/All American type as a Soph. Lofty praise I know but guys his size with that shooting/skill level don't come around every class
I expect he'll have a big AAU year and keep reinforcing his lofty ranking

@BeddieKU23 I'll do a cartwheel somehow if it's Hoard.
I'll do backflips somehow as well.
The man should not have a platform. It's as nice I can be
Your right he's not a quick fast twitch athlete. I wasn't as high on him last summer. His Jr film looks much improved though. Such a skilled player inside/out. His shooting numbers this year were rare for a player his size.
Some good research FYI.
I think of the players you listed Ramey, Weaver and Cherry are the only three that KU hasn't had contact with.
Brandon Williams is announcing soon after his visit to Gonzaga, this is a Oregon/Zona battle. All the recent buzz is Oregon won him on his visit.
Hamilton's brother transferred into BC as well. I can't see him leaving that situation with family.
Ramey seems like the most open of all especially since he's not signed anywhere but it looks like Texas, Missouri, Oklahoma St & Louisville have the most attention from him. I don't think Ramey fits the need KU is looking for.
This makes me think this is a kid signed (LOI) with another program who doesn't want to risk his current position unless Langford goes to Indiana.
I also wouldn't be surprised if it was another big with the unknown situations surrounding Doke coming back and De Sousa being possibly ruled ineligible.
I would also assume it's someone the staff would view as an impact player in some way to compensate for what Langford would bring to the table. With our roster there really isn't a need for development type players. It's got to be someone that would have a chance to start.
Name I'll throw out- Jaylen Hoard, signed with Wake Forest early but I hear more and more grumblings. We recruited players in his HS area (Aaron Wiggins, Dotson, Ian Steere) among others.
