@Eric-san you r the best!
@nuleafjhawk was thinking of another upper classmen, ll
@nuleafjhawk but he wasn't the only one
@nuleafjhawk funny! Google or gaggle it!
@Kcmatt7 he's had a great spring! Like the speed too
If Self won all those EE's would he lose all the next games of the f4?
@tis4tim josh's 2 fouls started the tightening-jmo. Tcu game part 2. Tait said before the game the team was loose, like they had been most of the year. I heard what frank said.
@Jyhwk4life I do know the other day we practiced at another high school before we went to sprint center
@globaljaybird I watched 60 mins tonight it was about the shootings in garland Texas. You know nadar soofi. Crazy!
@drgnslayr I think we learned a huge lesson and frank wouldn't have let it happen, too important. Not sure about 1 of the guys though.
@mayjay are we safe here?
@drgnslayr I don't think so!
@Blown ha
@bskeet 🙏
@brooksmd happy for frank, you need to get out more😳
@brooksmd darn, I only get it when my kid is here though
@brooksmd when do regular games start? MLB had already charged my act for my son. He cancelled it today. He'll be able to get royals games starting in May for a year at least. Hoping they take me to a game or 2!
@mayjay only thru tv! Don't go very far. If you offered to take me to Hawaii I'd go😉 Going to sons graduation near Chicago in may, by myself. 😳
@cragarhawk sun didn't come up here ! I wanted the final 4 solely for frank!
@brooksmd hey!
@BShark love that guy! Love his jacket! 😉
@brooksmd don't forget we r going to Italy!
@BeddieKU23 you should just stop trying! We hear you.
The hutch juco kid would be great
@nuleafjhawk I know what you mean!
@HawkChamp he always takes responsibility for the losses
@REHawk great way to say it w/out throwing a player under the bus! And our coach!
Matt Tait said we were loose as always in warmups. Perhaps we all tightened up when josh got his 2nd foul w/17 plus left? Completely changed the game. I think we were only 1 down when he came back in which speaks well for Vick. But josh was not the same! Oregon was our perfect storm no matter which game it was. Completely exposed our loss of Doke. Dg had an off pm. Oregon looked really good.
But I do, but I care more about wanting it for Mason and the team who works their rears off all year, not for guys like you that gripe more than appreciate the work they put in to our program.
@HawkChamp how bout 💩
@brooksmd don't you know coach and this team OWE these so called fans a final 4. The same fans that give up on the team 50 % of the time this past season.
@chriz you could switch teams.
Bragg is his own doing
Tait said before the game the team was as loose as he has seem them this year
Juiston earns MVP award
Michael Stavola Staff writer mstavola@hutchnews.com 6 hrs ago (1)
The Hutchinson Community College players had a serious tone all night – none more than Shakur Juiston.
Just before tip off, Juiston grabbed Samajae Haynes-Jones and reminded him of their losses - Juiston his brother and Haynes-Jones his mother.
“We have to play with all our hearts,” Juiston remembered saying. “We have to play for them and just leave it all on the floor.”
Juiston’s demeanor finally changed with 1:38 left in the game, up 20 points, when coach Steve Eck pulled the starters. Juiston’s straight face turned to a big smile as he embraced assistant coach Jay Cyriac.
Hutchinson went on to win its third national title at the NJCAA Tournament Saturday with a 84-58 rout of Eastern Florida. As the awards were announced, an emotional Juiston tucked his face inside his jersey and wept like he’s never wept before.
“It was a very emotional time,” Juiston said. “I told myself last year, when the buzzer was over and we lost, that wasn’t happening again … When the buzzer went off (this time) tears of joy just came.”
Juiston’s double-double made sure it was tears of joy. He garnered a double-double each game of the tournament and capped the final game with 18 points and 13 rebounds and earned another record along the way - Most Valuable Player.
“Shakur just wills the team to follow his lead. We are going to miss him … sometimes he is a pain in the rear, but we are going to miss him,” Eck said with a laugh.
The 6-foot-7 power forward doesn’t know his next stop, but his mark is forever left on Hutchinson.
Juiston holds the school record for rebounds with 742 - the previous record of 714 was set by Mickey Jackson in 1977 - along with being the 14th in all-time scoring (1,042), fifth in blocked shots (117) and now the third player in Blue Dragons’ history to be the William B. French MVP.
“This is the period from the whole paragraph, the whole story,” Juiston said of ending his career in Hutchinson with a national championship.
