The 5 minutes would be great, the 5 fouls not so much as they get the other team to the bonus situation that much sooner which is not a desirable thing.
I disagree. Look at the replay of any WVU game...remember when Chalmers was practically molested by two MU players in Columbia and a foul not called and how we complained about it? The same play is repeated time after time by WVU players and a foul is seldom called even when the rules are considerably more strict now. Look at how they often have their hands on the back of the opposing players and yet, no foul called.
There is zero doubt in my mind that WVU does not get called for nearly all the fouls it should and the refs just call the more obvious ones and ignore the rest otherwise they would not have enough players to finish the game. No question that a lot of this is due to Huggins constantly berating the refs...the entire game, non stop. It does give WVU an unfair advantage any way yo see it.

Very hard to tell from the videos and easy to maybe take it out of context but at first glance it looks like there was a security line of sorts between the crowd and the players and a couple of players were outside that line, perhaps starters coming back to the bench and one of them is the one that punched the fan that seemed to accidentally bump into him (unlike the Jamari incident) as he ran into the court. Also, at least two other players jumped past the security line and shoved fans running to the court. Looks likes a lot of frustration on the part of the WVU players and maybe now they know how other players feel when they play them and get bumped a lot harder.

I agree. I said letâs wait until he finishes in the top half before we anoint him the next best thing. A 3 point win against Baylor is its only conference win, the rest are agains weak competition.

The thing with the press is that if you can beat it quickly you end up with an easy shot at the other end. The question is if we have the ball handlers to do it, Devonte probably can but Malik and Garret will have to have big games for KU to win.
Mason is a freak athlete and a strong one as well so he could elevate, absorb the foul and finish/score; we donât have anyone in the current team capable of doing the same thing.
Izzo has been coaching Division 1 for 23 years and Coach Self for 25; however, all of 23 years of a Izzo were/are at MSU where he was promoted after being an Assistant Coach while Coach Self spent 7 years at Oral Roberts and Tulsa before joining Illinois. In short, Izzo has a 6 year advantage at major programs so, given the time differential, Coach Selfâs record is probably better.
It is critical to hold serve at home and KU is 1 game down already, any road win against the other top teams would be huge.
At this point KU is a good team not a great team. Great teams have a decent margin of error and can win even when playing below par, this teamâs margin of error is razor thin and an average game wil not cut it against the better teams.
Like I said, he canât recruit but he does ok with the players he has; he always manages to play KU tough. I donât have an issue with his coaching, I have one with his personality and that annoying voice of his...worse than nails on a blackboard.
Weber is not a bad coach, he cannot recruit or keep players but he can coach; however, when he says stuff like this he sounds like a whining little beotch. I donât believe his issue is losing to KU, his issue is losing to Self.
A win Monday and KU is back in control.
The conference is getting interesting and Silvio could be the Difference towards the end of the season. Not that he would be a big contributor but he would provide valuable minutes not available up to now.
I notice Malik brought up the ball several times, hopefully Devonte can get some rest although likely not in Morgantown...unless the game is out of hand either way.
KU is unbeaten on the road; I almost prefer playing on the road.

In other NBA news...The Cavs in complete meltdown having lost 6 of 8 games since Christmas, the last two by 28 to the Wolves and by 34 to the Raptors and they do have Isaiah Thomas back at full strength. Warriors and Celtics appear to be the top two teams.
