KU is 7-0 in the last 7 games against teams in the Champions Classic and also 3-0 against UNC.
Former wife is the one that said she did not think he would do this, current estranged wife is the one that was allegedly assaulted. Former wife was vouching for him in general and not specifically about the current alleged assault...or at least this is how i understand it.
He is now representing the individual that allegedly verbally assaulted Tucker Carlson's daughter and had a n incident with him at a private club in Virginia a couple of weeks ago. The club investigated the incident and revoked that inidvidual's membership so now he is suing Carlson and creepy porn lawyer is his attorney. SMH.
He is also announced he will likely run for President as a democrat; you can't make this stuff up.
What is interesting is that Silvio chose to come to KU not because KU paid (it did not) but in spite the the fact the Under Armour paid , allegedly $60K, to go to another school. Sounds like he would have come to KU regardless of the $2,500 on-line class payment by Adidas.

The air quality for LA is currently rated as fair which is normal for the city. The prevailing wind direction in the area is SW to NE or away from LA except for the Santa Ana winds that are East to West. Air quality should not be an issue unless there is a drastic change in wind direction and increase in fires.

I agree. This team seems to play to the level of the competition and appears to have little determination/motivation. Swept by KSU is not good.

Duke starters went 1-11 from 3 and the rest of the team 4-13 for a putrid 20.8%, I guess they feel that with their 3 starters scoring inside they don’t need outside shooting and it might turn out to be their Achilles heel.
Michigan beats Nova, Indiana over Marquette and Nebraska over Seton Hall and the Big 10 goes 3-0 over the Big East.
Indiana has several players coming back and is predicted to finish in the top 4. Archie Miller is a very good coach, perhaps the best of the younger coaches, and would be on my list of potential replacements for Coach Self when he retires.
Indiana (-5.5) and Villanova (-7) are playing at home and they should win.
I suspect Miles will be in the candidate list for every opening so, while KU might be his preferred choice based on his relationship with Long, by no means will be his only choice.
I believe it is more important for KU to have more than one option otherwise it has no leverage in the negotiations.
Nice to see a kid that has his priorities straight. I imagine that having the Big Dub as team chaplain helped some...or a lot.👍
Agrees, I posted when he came back that after looking at the real world, he would likely have a much better attitude and work ethic to get where he wants to end. He seems a lot more assertive and focused now.
KU also need some leverage. If Miles knows he is the only option he can ask and get a lot more money; however. if KU is looking at more than one viable prospect then it has some leverage in the negotiations.

Yes, McGruder has progressed nicely and he is now a starter and solid rotation player but he is in his 6th year in the League. Usually it takes years to get there and only the very top prospects start and star early.

One man’s ceiling is another man’s floor or perhaps more applicable in this situation...one team’s cancer is another team’s treasure. Remember, Tarik Black was considered a cancer at Memphis and yet he was great at KU. Butler is an alpha dog and going to a team with 2 other alpha dogs in Embiid and Simmons and maybe a third one in Redick; it will interesting how the chemistry works out.
I wonder how he will fit with Embiid and Simmons. Covington and Saric are solid starters, Bayless has not played this season, has a high $ contract and will likely be waived. Patton has not played either and might also be a potential waive. Sixers traded its starting PF and SF for a SG; maybe they will play 4 out 1 in.
Didn’t he make something like 6-8 from 3 in a Summer exhibition game? He is streaky and if he is in the zone and making them he might take several in one game, depending on playing time. I will go with Mitch shooting close to 50% from 3 and taking 25-30 shots.

Kentucky has a lot of raw talent and potential but low Basketball IQ and they need to learn to play together as a team and inexperience is showing. They will get better as the season progresses but their season can go sideways pretty quick. This will be a long season for Cal and Kentucky fans...I like it.:smile:

BYU said in a statement that the university, the coaching staff and the athletic department had no knowledge of the infractions and that they disagreed with vacating wins. The NCAA didn't identify Emery by name but the university's statement said the case involved him.
The university also said that it plans to appeal the decision because it considers the vacating of wins to be too harsh and not consistent with recent cases.
"This sanction includes the most severe vacation-of-record penalty ever imposed in the history of NCAA Division I basketball for infractions that included no institutional knowledge or involvement," the statement said. "In addition, in the case most similar to this situation, appropriate penalties were imposed, but no wins were vacated."
Cougars coach Dave Rose said in a statement that he was disappointed by the ruling and supported the university's plan to appeal.
Emery withdrew from school last season due to personal problems and the reports of improper benefits. The 6-foot-2 guard returned to the program in April and has been reinstated by the NCAA but is sitting out the first nine games of this season. He served as a captain during the 2016-17 season and was third on the team with 13.1 points per game and second with 75 3-pointers.
Emery said on Twitter on Friday that "my intentions were never to hurt the program or university. I'm grateful to Coach Rose and the university for standing by me throughout this entire process."
So...he was reinstated by the NCAA and sitting out 9 games like it has been the case for similar violation but the forfeiting of games is new and seems to be grossly disproportional....in the meantime UNC that offered fake classes to athletes with the full knowledge of the program skates away scot-free?
I believe BYU has a good case to sue the NCAA.
I really don't know what to make of this game. It is likely the only winnable game left for both teams and both are playing for their respective coaches; KU to give Beaty a parting gift and KSU to maybe save Snyder's job.
I believe it will be a close game, maybe 3-7 points with the score in the mid 20s to low 30s and with a lucky break being the difference.

You have brought up impeachment before. Exactly what illegal thing has he done? Read the Dershowitz article, even if he called the Russians and asked for help there is no grounds for impeachment since there is nothing in the constitution or the law that makes it criminal. Don't take my word for it, listen to what a very liberal constitutional scholar and attorney has to say. He is not the only one that leans this way, most every review I have read written by very knowledgeable constitutional scholars and attorneys of all political persuasions seem to agree with him. It is not and has never been a question of having votes in congress, it is a question of whether there is justification and at this time there is none, zero, nada, zilch and it would be overturned in a New York second by the SCOTUS. Again, this is the opinion of people a hell of a lot more knowledgeable and more familiar with the constitution and the law than any one of us here is.
Maxine Waters and others have been calling for his impeachment since before he was even inaugurated. She still wants to impeach Trump and appoint Hillary president...really? and I mean REALLY? Is she not familiar with the constitution?...and she is a US congresswoman...unbelievable; short of howling at the moon I can't think of anything that would make her more of a lunatic...and she is the face of the impeachment movement. Al the rumors about Fuente are from a year ago when FSU and Tennessee( among other big programs) were allegedly interested. He was not interested then and does not seem to be interested now and, if he wants to leave, he would be at the top of every list and KU would have zero chance of getting him...short of making him the highest paid coach in college football.
