KU vs Louis exhibition game chat • Oct 25, 2025 01:54 AM

Overall that was a very good showing though there is a lot to clean up. It was great watching DP go nuclear. It was annoying watching us foul on every possession in the last 5 minutes. Tiller was a very pleasant surprise. I am surprised Samis and Ngala didn't play a single minute. I want to see more from Dawson too. I still have faith in Rosario. He plays hard. We just need to be patient with him.

2026 Recruiting ( Crazy but ) • Oct 24, 2025 06:26 PM

How good is Luke Barnett? Is he just a shooter or is he good at other things too?

We're preseason Number ... 19 • Oct 23, 2025 11:44 PM

If you ask me, the fact that Bill has named a complete starting 5 is a good sign. Usually immediately before the season he says something like "players X, Y, and Z are likely going to start but spot A and spot B are up for grabs," meaning he has three players he trusts in. Does the complete lineup mean he trusts five players already? We won't know for a while, but I hope so.

Unfortunately, those bone headed plays were not flukes. Those were symptoms of our teams lack of the toughness necessary to win close games or rivalry games. We will not end the streak this year, but we might someday. That is why I am hoping for a step in the right direction. Cut those 4 or 5 boneheaded plays to one or two. Maybe hit a field goal int he 4th quarter.

Looking at our last two close games against K-State that we should have won, our biggest issue is that we refuse to score against them in the 4th quarter. I am looking for baby steps in this matchup. Even if we lose, keeping it competitive and scoring at some point in the 4th quarter would be a step in the right direction.

It is too early to say what the exception and what the rule is. I think next season will be more telling, as this season is a rebuilding year after that senior class we lost.

I think its on the ACC Network

One game doesn't prove Lance has maxed out

Kansas State hate • Oct 21, 2025 08:09 PM

It is a big game. The chance to snap a long losing streak, gain momentum for in-state recruiting, and increase our chances of bowl eligibility are all factors. But it is far from the biggest game or Lance's tenure.

Kansas State hate • Oct 21, 2025 06:28 PM

@kjayhawks I disagree. A game against an unranked secondary rival is not the biggest game of Lance's career. All of the games we have played against top-10 opponents were bigger. Our game against Okie State a few years ago that got us bowl eligibility for the first time in forever was MUCH bigger. Both of the bowl games we have played in have been bigger. Our game against Baylor at the end of last year, which was a fight for bowl eligibility, was bigger. Our game against misery, who is a much bigger rival than K-State, was bigger.

Kansas State hate • Oct 21, 2025 02:29 AM

@SlimShaddy54 Life outside the game will be okay. As for the game itself, I will not believe we can beat K-State until I see it with my own eyes.

Kansas State hate • Oct 21, 2025 12:22 AM

@SlimShaddy54 I am neither an optimist nor a pessimist. I am a realist (Twain is my favorite author). As a realist, my takes on KU basketball tend to come across as optimistic while my takes on KU football tend to come across as pessimistic.

Don't get your hopes up. I am just hoping to sweep them in basketball.

2025 Chiefs • Oct 20, 2025 06:23 PM

Omar Norman Lott tore his acl and it out for the season. We need to trade for another DT.

We're preseason Number ... 19 • Oct 20, 2025 06:22 PM

Is the information of how much NIL we paid each player available anywhere? I would be interested in this information as players now need to be evaluated not just for how good they are, but how valuable they are.

Mahomes has a competitive edge and winning instincts that nobody else in the league has. The same thing that set Michael Jordan apart

Anyone else who knows anything about how it went, how we looked feel free to share. Curiosity is gnawing at me.

I think the AI says that because it was the case in years past.

We're preseason Number ... 19 • Oct 17, 2025 05:00 PM

I don't think there is any way to watch it without attending. Big whiff by our athletic department, as this decision will hurt our brand and our recruiting.

I hope they upload the schrimmage to youtube afterwards so I can do some ameteur scouting.

Brett Yormack • Oct 16, 2025 05:38 PM

In my view, a video of someone handing a knife to someone else does nothing to disprove that the knife was thrown. Anyways, even if Leipold did lie about where the knife landed, the essence of the claim was that it was thrown, which is 100% true. Lance should not have been fined.

Brett Yormack • Oct 16, 2025 05:05 PM

No. It has now been confirmed by police that a pocket knife has been found on the field.

Brett Yormack • Oct 16, 2025 04:48 PM

He needs to go. Fining Leipold for truthfully stating that a pocket knife was thrown onto the field is an unacceptable form of censorship and corruption.

We're preseason Number ... 19 • Oct 16, 2025 03:38 AM

I believe it is not on espn+ this year. It might be on the kuathletics website but I am not sure

We're preseason Number ... 19 • Oct 15, 2025 02:51 AM

I agree that we need DP to be great but I wouldn't reduce the team to one player. Flory, White, Elmarko, Rosario, Dawson, and Council will all impact how good our team is.

@dylans Hunter didn't buy in. He just wanted money. You could tell by watching him that he didn't take his conditioning seriously

@Texas-Hawk-10 Huh. And I always thought it was short for Ezekiel.

TTech Game thread • Oct 12, 2025 03:46 AM

@nuleafjhawk Yes. I'm pretty sure I have heard Brian Hanni call him Zeke Marshall though

TTech Game thread • Oct 12, 2025 02:44 AM

That is a bad sign. For next season's sake we need to be seeing Zeke Marshall as QB2

TTech Game thread • Oct 12, 2025 02:25 AM

I want us to invest heavily in an offensive line. Getting outrushed 300-10 is getting old

TTech Game thread • Oct 12, 2025 02:06 AM

This is not a bad loss. Tech is very good. That said, our DC should be out a job. When Tech's QB went down all we had to do was stop the run and we didn't even come close

TTech Game thread • Oct 12, 2025 01:58 AM

We just saw the difference between the two teams. 3rd and 1 for them is an easy pickup

TTech Game thread • Oct 12, 2025 01:38 AM

I am proud of Jalon Daniels and Leshon for keeping us in the game

TTech Game thread • Oct 12, 2025 01:38 AM

How mamy times do we have to fail running it up the middle on 3rd and 1 for our staff to know that it doesn't work?

Alabama beat methzou. Roll Tide, for today

2025 Chiefs • Oct 10, 2025 03:23 PM

We have a Super Bowl caliber roster but we are about to be 2-4 most likely. After losing to the Lions we need to rip off at least 4-5 wins in a row

Lance Leipold • Oct 09, 2025 10:29 PM

We don't beat K-State in football

Lance Leipold • Oct 09, 2025 08:36 PM

K-State is not a winnable game. TTU isn't either. Other than that, I think we've got a chance against everyone we play.

2025 Chiefs • Oct 07, 2025 05:39 PM

Very bad effort on defense. This Jaguars offense has not been great this year, and they walked all over us for three quarters

2026 Recruiting ( Crazy but ) • Oct 06, 2025 07:26 PM

Can Adkins shoot, drive, handle the ball, and defend the perimeter like Releford or Svi? Because if not I don't think those are relevant comparisons.

2026 Recruiting ( Crazy but ) • Oct 06, 2025 07:20 PM

Travis Releford was a guard. If Adkins is anything like Perry Ellis or Darnell Jackson, I am happy.

2026 Recruiting ( Crazy but ) • Oct 06, 2025 04:01 AM

How good at offense is Davion Adkins?

Lance Leipold • Oct 05, 2025 02:54 AM

Lance won a close game. It is time to call off the hot-seat dogs for now.

LANCE THE KNIGHTS • Oct 05, 2025 12:49 AM

The outcome of this game is already decided. Our only chance was to blow them out, and that hasn't happened.

Other Football Games of Interest • Oct 04, 2025 07:37 PM

The refs tried really hard to give that game to KSU. Called a phantom PI to move them closer to field goal range. Baylor defeats K-State and the refs with that block

Other Football Games of Interest • Oct 04, 2025 06:53 PM

At halftime the ISU defense actually made adjustments and has not allowed Cincy to score since. If only we could do that for just 2 minutes

The Future of Jayhawk Basketball... • Oct 03, 2025 10:10 PM

The winning teams are doing a few different things:

  1. Finding the right guys in high school and not over relying on the portal. This is not always one and dones, but players who don't jump ship in the portal and can develop.

  2. Finding portal players who are not just one year loans, but have 2-3 years of eligibility remaining and are able to stick around and develop. (Florida won a title with players like this).

  3. Using one year loans from the portal to plug roster gaps.
