I knew we would have to win this one without the refs, but damn
How was that not an and 1
We just can’t throw the final haymaker. A 5-0 run from this being over

I can’t remember yelling at a TV the way I did after this call
ARE YOU SHITTING ME WITH THAT CALL?
MITCH THANK YOU
Just not rebounding. We rebound and we are up 20
That hasn’t been a block all season.
Just keep this level of intensity. Shots won’t fall the whole game.
BEATING THEM IN EVERY FACET. Good job fellas
THE ONE TIME DACE TRIES TO DUNK 😂😂😂
@BShark yea that’s what got me thinking… have to imagine the worst possible look for NCAA is Bill beating Duke in the finals.
Indianapolis has to be freaking out KU is in the position they are. We need to put Nova away early. Start fast.
@justanotherfan said in Mitch:
Lightfoot has been very solid. He is in the proper role, and Self has been wise to not overextend either him or McCormack during the tournament.
This is what we have been begging for the last two years - not to get rid of Lightfoot (or Big Dave), but to use them in line with their strengths.
Lightfoot has played more than 16 minutes only three times (twice in blowouts in the Big 12 tournament), and 17 minutes against Miami. That's just about perfect usage for him. He's been effective in just about every game, which is what you're looking for from backups.
McCormack has been even better. He's been used correctly, and has not been overexposed as an interior scorer. He's worked hard when on the floor and has boosted the team's energy (similar to the boost Remy has given when he is on the floor). Huge for KU, and could help boost them to a title.
Bill has also taken them off the floor in certain situational plays. He's put KJ at the 5 in a switch everything last minute defense. He's gone 5 guards when the bigs are struggling with the pick and pop. Thus, to your point, not asking these two guys to do what they aren't capable of doing.

Jeremy has been a clear upgrade from Snacks.
I have to say, I was skeptical. But this isn't Bill's first rodeo.
@BShark I think you are right. It wasn't as good of a joke with CB though lol

Shooting numbers are wooof
I mean the guy is going to roll out a lineup of Harris/Bobby/Dick/JWill/Dave, look us dead in the eyes, and win the B12 shooting under 33% from deep. I can feel it already

Purdue winning with almost exclusively Indiana talent must just kill IU fans to watch. 11 guys from Indiana on their roster this last season.
72% of their minutes were from Indiana kids this year.

I'll let you guys figure it out, but there is an early leader here.
Well the other Indiana school would have been my second guess so....

Pack from K-St officially in the portal. Brutal for Tang
That was always going to be a tough sell for Tang. No doubt Pack is about to get a massive bag and can basically pick his next spot.
I'm throwing out Hoosiers as the landing spot. Absolutely no info to back that up other than he went to high school in Indiana.

About the only thing Jamari could do. Ugliest jump shot I can ever remember at Kansas.
@Crimsonorblue22 said in 2022 Transfer Portal Thread:
@Kcmatt7 I loved TRob his frosh year, could see his potential. Not seeing it.
I'm not telling you he is T-Rob. But he's definitely better than Jamari ever was.
@BShark said in 2022 Transfer Portal Thread:
@BeddieKU23 He can't shoot at all. Tang is swinging for the fences looking at guys they have contacted.
Wonder what his budget is.
@approxinfinity I think he does. But he has to get 1000 shots a day up this offseason. I think he is way more skilled already than Jamari. More in the mold of T-Rob. But T-Rob had motivation to get better fast... I'm hoping the young guns coming behind KJ is what motivates him. If he ends up leaving I'll be sad, but I'll get it.

I still don’t understand how the government can regulate the NCAA, or why the NCAA should listen.
Well there is always the threat to start taxing them if they don’t play ball. Plus the government can levy fines.
But I’m not sure how I feel about the government sticking their nose into it all

Sean McNeil from huggytown in the portal. Another crippling loss
They have nothing left
Honestly I hope for Huggy's sake he calls it quits before it gets embarrassing. He is just not going to be able to field a team in the new world order.
Just talking thinking out loud here - but what does it really matter as long as he is athletic enough to guard on the perimeter? They basically play 3 wings now and just switch 1-4. Feel like we'll get a lot more of the same next season.
Shareef has to sit a year yea? Seems like he should look for a step down, but some P5 school will take him.

I think if we win it all you don't see CB or JWill back. But that is just my guess.

Miles of TCU is undecided whether to return or pursue professional options. Interesting, it did not sound like he would declare and leave the option available to come back. Either or situation
Get that man an NIL deal and to Lawrence.
NCAA needs to change the level violations on these cases of paying players that are legal now. This one in particular is dumb.
Yea Nova tempo is 345 out of 358. They will slow the game down as much as possible. But we've prepped for this with the B12 season thankfully. Should be a good game, but Bill owes Wright a double digit spanking.

Let Gillespie do his thing but no one else. One man team won't beat us.
I'd be curious to know how his knee is feeling... I'm not sure he will even be at 100% by Saturday either
I hope Self realizes that the two games he’s put Juando on their best player and not switched we are like 55 points better or something. He did the same thing against Pack/KSU and that was the key to the comeback.
@BShark rr is such a good site right now.

Okay so next game is the Och game
29*
Outscored them by 26 this half. Crazy
@Crimsonorblue22 we were up 20 with like 8 or 9 minutes left. I’d call that early
We’ve basically not done this all year where we just crush you and put the game away early. Feels good
Bill I’m sorry for what I said against half time. I knew in my heart you couldn’t lose to chuckie
lol how do you foul out that way
