LFG BOYSSSSS
LOL literally not guarding a dude like he’s Marcus Garrett.

yeah, it might not have been a good idea to keep dave off the floor so much in the first half
Looks like they changed to switching on Wardenburg at half so they could
🤬🤬🤬🤬
I literally had no idea the AT&T lady’s name was Lilly before this tournament. And I still wish I didn’t know

0-5 from 3. Not one was close either
How do we not get a single 3pt attempt from Och?
Honestly him and Remy just feel like they’re not on the same wave length timing wise.
To think Laranaga was on the hit seat going to the season
And we were 3/9 on the free throws we did shoot
We were in the bonus with like 10 left and didn’t take advantage at all

Getting completely out-coached. Not making any adjustments...
I'd say Self is over adjusting if anything
Lol no kidding. Literally owning them in the post and we’re playing 5 guards by the end
This is why Bill gets the narrative he does smh. Going to lose to chuck moore.
JCL bro stahp
Can we call a set play and get something for Och?
5 guard lineup
I just do not see the intensity from our guys. Look like they’re going through the motions tbh
@Eric-san problem is they make garbage shots. It’s almost their entire offense
Seriously how is there a lineup on the floor without Och and/or Remy at the same time these days?
I do not like this lineup
CB has been off

This is a shocker. KU didn’t bring those little timeout stools. I hope we can overcome this
You can say that again

Mitch boarding
They’re making Dave and Mitch look like an elite front court today
2 on Charles
Well the Warenburg stuff is even now. That was a foul, but he flopped earlier so
CB bro wyd?
They can’t guard us. We just need a few stops
@Eric-san smart money has pushed like towards KU though
We need an “Och game.” Because Nova will be the “Dave game”

Terrence Shannon in the portal WOW.
gime gime
He is going to be counting those fat stacks.
I'll chip in on the check
Bruce should have just been like an NAIA coach for 40 years somewhere. He doesn't fit this level of ball
Time for the NPOY to show up and go for 25.
3 number 1s go down before the elite eight, with KU still to play. Tourney has gone off the rails
I want to see tears but I want to switch the channel
@DCHawker it was really either a 3 or a foul on the floor. Seems like after the contact he was like “let me try for 3 free throws”
I really thought this was the Zags year
Hogs just look like the better team rn. Winning every 50-50 ball. Better defensive game plan.
Does anyone get away with more travels than Timme?
If you could point to what perfect form looks like, it is basically him. Just the silkiest smooth, high-release shot from a 6'7 wing.
@tis4tim I really don't think it happens for them. Zags revenge in the EE.
The ref show works tonight especially for them because of the way TTU plays defense. You can just tell refs to call it tight. You don't have to ask them to call fouls on TTU and not Duke. The clashing style of the two is what lets you do this.
Vs. the Zags they don't get that luxury. Now if Arkansas wins tonight...
@BShark said in NOT Remy?!:
Stole this data but hasn't been posted here. Since start of Big 12 tournament.
Remy On/ Juan Off: 0.94ppp offense, 0.91 defense.
Juan On/ Remy Off: 1.22 offense, 0.87 defense.
Both on: 1.23 offense, 0.79 defense.
Nothing quite like the classic Bill Self 2-guard...
Zags I can't pick against here. Arkansas can win, but it will have to be UGLY. Razorbacks just don't have the firepower to stay in the game for 40. They'll have to get out to a big lead and then hope they can make enough shots to win. Don't see it.
Arizona I just can't get a feel for how good they actually are. Talent is there. When Mathurin decided he was finally going to take the game over they put TCU away in OT. Houston has experience though. Like a ton of it. I'll go with the talent and Zona.
Tech and Duke are quite the matchup. Lots and lots of 6'6 or taller guys on the court at one time. I think this one turns into a ref show. TTU gets in foul trouble early and Duke shoots free throws to victory. Just feels like K will get all the help he can get to make it to the FF. Tonight a quick whistle gives Duke a big advantage.
Nova vs. Michigan all comes down to if Nova can shoot their way past Michigan. And I think they do. Michigan has been inconsistent all season long. They lost by double digits 9 times this year. They are 5-10 against Quad 1 opponents. The story ends here. Nova by 10+
@BShark Are you hearing things? Or are you doing roster math?
Honestly I haven't been this nervous for a game in a long, long time. I want it so bad for this team. So many good guys. So many good stories. Local ties. Superfans on the bench. This is just such a likable team.
It's a good article. I'm glad this has (seemingly) panned out the way we expected to, even if the path to get here was strange.
Yep definitely a defining moment in what is now either opening another 5 year window for success with a good draft or closing it with a miss.

Shotquality.com numbers. Providence the luckiest team in America (Kenpom agrees). Has KU as the 6th luckiest team. Basically, Providence is BY FAR the luckiest team this year. Just feels like something has to give here.
@FarmerJayhawk Can you really have enough 6'5-6'8 wings?
Veach has a much better draft track record than he gets credit for. And with 12 picks this year it is hard to believe they won't fill some serious gaps. And now they don't HAVE to restructure Mahomes deal this year at all. Which gives them even more flexibility down the road.
Fwiw about Veach:
- 2021 - 6 picks. 3 starters. Backup TE. Backup EDGE. Powell the only "miss"
- 2020 - 6 picks. 4 starters. Backup EDGE. Keyes the miss.
- 2019 - 6 picks. 3 starters. Fenton. Backup OL. Thompson the miss.
- 2018 - Disaster except Nnadi.
2018 - didn't have a 1st.
2019 - Traded first for Frank Clark.
So realistically the guy has drafted exceptionally well the last 3 years. It could have been better, but all in all that should inspire some confidence that the roster should still be one of the best in football.
Anyone want to take bets that the Chiefs won’t be a top 5 offense?
It was probably the best combo of complimentary players in the league, but this is a fine move in the end. They got a shit ton back for him.
Why aren't we in on Aidan Shaw? Swoosh?
