Adidas opening up the checkbook • Mar 23, 2022 01:30 PM

This just makes the entire FBI thing so much dumber.

Just feels inevitable tbh.

2022 Transfer Portal Thread • Mar 21, 2022 06:42 PM

@BShark I didn't. But damn. Makes more sense after this season.

2022 Transfer Portal Thread • Mar 21, 2022 06:39 PM

I'm shocked how few firings there have been.

  • Haase
  • Tinkle
  • Pastner
  • Capel
  • Collins

All seem like guys that should be shown the door.

Monday Morning Madness Thoughts • Mar 21, 2022 04:03 PM

I kind of want to play Miami. Just to watch it.

If we can't run with Miami we won't be able to run with Gonzaga. Would be such a fun up and down game to watch.

Non-KU Games • Mar 21, 2022 01:45 PM

Charlie is the perfect example of why I am very much pro-player in the transfer portal.

Not only was he not very good here, but he was just not a good fit for a rigid Bill Self style. He leaves and now he's flourishing. This happens probably dozens of times a year for guys. When you get a finite amount of time to play this sport at this level, it only makes sense to let players leave and find the best fit for them.

2021-22 PER's & Stats • Mar 21, 2022 01:41 PM

Just looking at KU's road to the FF via Kenpom

They get to play the 4th worst team remaining in the field. And then they get to play one to the winners of the two teams who are 2nd and 3rd to last remaining in the field.

Nobody has an easier road to the FF than KU. Almost as if the basketball Gods are making this up to us for 2020. Really, really hope this team takes advantage of this. What a gift.

Non-KU Games • Mar 21, 2022 04:06 AM

Sometimes wish Och would be like Mathurin rn. Dude is just taking over

Non-KU Games • Mar 21, 2022 03:52 AM

That was a foul.

Non-KU Games • Mar 21, 2022 03:50 AM

Best game of the weekend for sure

Non-KU Games • Mar 21, 2022 03:41 AM

What a freaking effort by TCU

Non-KU Games • Mar 21, 2022 02:13 AM

TCU settling too much.

Non-KU Games • Mar 21, 2022 01:33 AM

Did Auburn just forget how to play defense today?

Such a waste of so much talent to be coached by Pearl

KSU Coach • Mar 21, 2022 01:21 AM

A good hire. Still a bad job and a tough place to win. Will be interesting

Non-KU Games • Mar 21, 2022 01:21 AM

@DCHawker well the next game is part of said path. Probably the 4 seed I would have hand picked to play out if the four choices

Absolutely have to take advantage of this. We never get the easy path.

Charlie Moore knocking off Auburn for us would be real nice

At least the team who should have won ended up winning. This was a brutal game

Not resetting the team fouls in OT is dumb

Ref show favoring Baylor

Fouling every possession. It’s absurd

Ouch for Huggins

Isiah Cottrell & Jalen Bridges are transferring. That roster is a sad state of affairs right now

Portal up to 450

Huggy just won’t survive in the current environment imo. He’s hard to play for and he really doesn’t even really try to recruit anymore. He needs to hang it up

@tis4tim they tweeted about wanting to coach after they retire last night

Texas Southern Game Thread • Mar 18, 2022 02:34 AM

If this team could score we’d be in trouble

@BShark said in One of the Wildest Turnarounds, Saint Peter's:

The crazy thing is St Peters was not very well coached. Their "offense" frequently gave me palpitations. Talent carried.

Mustached savior coming off of set play screens won that game. But Cal is also an awful in-game coach so a loss like this was long overdue

Welp, what's KU's estimated tipoff time these days?

Tomorrow

UK fans have to be calling for Cals head. Missed tourney followed by a 2-15 loss

What’s the math on all-time wins now?

I will enjoy this more than the KU game tonight and I’m okay with that

KU Bracket Reveal Thread • Mar 14, 2022 05:20 PM

The least watchable game of the 1st round is LSU vs. ISU. First to 50

KU Bracket Reveal Thread • Mar 14, 2022 05:18 PM

Honestly I would put Providence on upset alert. And then the most fun game of the tournament might be SDSU vs Iowa. Both ELECTRIC offenses. Will be a race to 100.

Are we due for donations?

KU Bracket Reveal Thread • Mar 13, 2022 10:15 PM

@BeddieKU23 I’m hoping the B12 schedule helps with this. Used to that grind.

Iowa definitely worries me, but we’d have a week to prep

KU Bracket Reveal Thread • Mar 13, 2022 10:01 PM

We have nothing to complain about

KU Bracket Reveal Thread • Mar 13, 2022 09:58 PM

KU Bracket Reveal Thread • Mar 13, 2022 09:41 PM

Tech has a nice path to the EE.

KU Bracket Reveal Thread • Mar 13, 2022 09:38 PM

EMPEROR OF BASKETBALL • Mar 12, 2022 09:58 PM

Maybe he spends a year in the studio rehabbing his image?

Rick Pitino gets a P5 job this off-season too yea?

Wonder what Bills record is in rubber matches

Non-KU Games • Mar 12, 2022 09:55 PM

Assuming The Vols close this out, you really might see a Baylor and KU 1 seed…

EMPEROR OF BASKETBALL • Mar 12, 2022 09:49 PM

@BeddieKU23 they had to know they were coming though right? Seems funny to have not fired him sooner if that was the reason

EMPEROR OF BASKETBALL • Mar 12, 2022 09:08 PM

KU should absolutely back and keep Self. Idgaf that he participated in something every single good basketball team does. It’s dumb that LSU cares. He will land on his feet

My king Will Wade has fallen, fired by LSU.

So many teams should hire him it’s not even funny. Maryland, KSU, Mizzou

What he did and got caught doing is legal now. Guy is going to thrive with the new rules

So where does Mitch go after his life after KU?

He’s got a lot of options honestly.

If Jamari and Hunter Mickelson were good enough to play overseas Mitch probably is too.

I’d imagine Mitch has a path to coaching if he wanted to.

But also didn’t ge do engineering? And will have two masters degrees. He’d probably have a successful career if he wanted it.

Missouri will be on its 7th basketball coach since Bill Self arrived at Kansas. Self is the 8th coach in KU history.

5:28 PM · Mar 11,

It’s funny because I actually think that’s a decent job. Should be able to recruit STL and KC and get local dudes. But if you are going to let the DaJuan Harris’ get away you’ll never win there.

Isaiah Mosely should be a Tiger not a MoState Bear.

Kim English should get the job. And they should open up the check book for his assistants

Yeah I'm not sure about Mosley athletically at the SEC level but you gotta at least offer.

Yea I mean that’s what your 13th scholarship is for.
Especially at a non-blue blood.

But Cuonzo never once looked locally is really the point. Look at Wisconsin or Purdues rosters to see how you just recruit locally and develop
