Bad call
Boom!
Money! Braun!
By the way (and not to get this thread sidetracked), Rest In Peace, Kobe...

Braun is comfortable moving laterally when he shoots 3s. Kid is a natural shooter.
And he has no fear. Have you noticed that his demeanor never changes?

@Marco no need tonight. It’s on espn2
Lol, I know @Crimsonorblue22 @wissox and several others have already told me... Thanks. I'm watching.
Oh,,, in case you guys are wondering,, I haven't yet subscribed - and probably won't - to ESPN+ Lmao
We're good the second half, Coach had to play the foul game.
Damn, atleast I didn't miss much - 27, 24
Enaruna is what, 6'9? Come on kid, play inside once in a while.
Now,,, about that all too obvious and sad money grab,,, Lets Go Jayhawks! Lol
A college game preempted - not a pro game mind you (which no pro game will be), but college - in order to wax sadly about Kobe, his daughter and the others which was a tragedy. We have been gorging on the sad news for two days, leave programming alone - that is unless ESPN decides to instead not televise NBA games, which ofcourse it will not do - an all too obvious and sad money grab.
Nice.... It is a tragedy what happened to Kobe, his daughter and the others, but is it really necessary for - not a pro game mind you, and no pro game will be - a college game to be preempted so that we can all sit around and be sad for two hours after being inundated with the news for the past two days?

@Marco I personally would prefer not having him on the team. Its a two part deal for me — Adidas and the brawl. But I can really see the other side of this and appreciate Self’s (and others’) loyalty to him.
I can see the loyalty too, and also the potentially life-threatening chair.

I am not in any way, shape or form advocating for the removal of Coach Self - want him to be here for as long as he coaches (hopefully 30 years). I do, however, advocate for De Sousa to be kicked off the team.
your just wrong
Wouldn't be the first time.

@Marco Were you at the game and see it in person?
The context from watching the video from multiple angles made it easier to have a balanced perspective than the still phot
I was not at the game, but I do know what a steel chair or any chair looks like and what it could potentially do.

Wow that's surprising that Cal can't stockpile 7 wings and keep them all happy.
I know it's stunning
Kind of what Coach K did for years, and it did not work out well for him either. Only after he woke up recruiting wise did he once again get back to being Duke.

@Marco no way!
And why not, @Crimsonorblue22? KU is a university (or even on a pro team!), and actions such as what he almost did have to be made an example of. Braun saved a life, but what De Sousa - if successful - was attempting to do could have taken one. Things like that need to be nipped in the bud, so that others will know that unless in war those things are unacceptable.
Kick DeSousa off the team and all is well. He has no place - a chair? - in the college game or any game, for that matter. Sorry, but what I saw from him in that skirmish was a game changer for me.
I'm with @FarmerJayhawk on what our starting lineup should be, bring Moss in off the bench to fill in at two or in a pinch even three spots - think it will do both him and the team some good.
Gotta get through these next two games, then we'll have Dave back.
Drive to the paint and draw fouls, buy some time.
@BShark not much longer
We need some 5-hour energy. Which reminds me, beer thirty.
Okay guys, settle down, need money possessions.

Good lord Bowden you can stop
Barnes can coach.
This team can't win a national championship? My ass! This team is a winner!

@Marco and he helped save a life, hey Seth you know that?
I know @Crimsonorblue22 .... Not a bad thing, huh?
Christian UPS Braun.

What can Braun do for you?
Good god Bill, please keep the KC pipeline open!
Och is playing his ass off.
Agree on our starting five @FarmerJayhawk.
Thoughts at the half... Dok, Dotson, Garrett and Braun (in that order) are our four most important players. And that is not discounting - have it both ways, Marco - the importance of the others.
I love our D!
The flow of the game favors KU.
Dok is a monster - Absolutely Unguardable.
If Dok stays out of foul trouble we should be okay.
"What can Braun do for you?" A little of everything, apparently. Totally different team with Dok in the lineup.

I totally forgot Saturday is College Gameday in Lawrence...
The timing of this fight couldn't have been worse lol. It's going to be all they talk about in the lead up to our game.
I'll bet that the next KU/K-State game won't be shown on ESPN+... Ka-Ching! "Hey, do you want to air a commercial during the next KU/K-State game? Remember, they had that big fight last time. Everybody will be watching!"
I would say that we got very lucky. Who knows, this team might now be on a mission - D-ing up, boxing out, rebounding, hitting wide open threes and the like. This could be a galvanizing thing for the team.
12 games for DeSousa and 2 for McCormack?
We need to not go weak on this one. Sorry, life lesson moment - all things have repercussions.

If this was game two without the rematch coming, I would say go easier on the suspensions, but this was the first meeting so I would go harsher on both sides to send a message to try and deter another incident happening in Manhattan.
I say, and I hate to, do not go light on any of them while staggering the suspensions out. This was a nationally televised game, no time to go weak on this one - especially with all of the other stuff clouding our program. Picking up a freaking chair? What a dumb ass move. Life lessons, people, and they are all fixing to receive some. This might all but seal the deal for Baylor to win the conference (hope I'm wrong), but it is what it is.
Downtown Christian Braun!
@BShark I think (this year's record aside) that I would take Prohm over the other two.
Definitely bad news. Not trying to be a downer but Dotson has struggled all year, and the injury might well amplify those struggles (i.e. trying to do too much when he does come back) and hurt team chemistry. I hope I'm wrong.
