Truly feel that we could see Coach Self return next year and then hang it up
Everyone lost.- -It had Olympic figure skaters from Russia they had been in Wichita for the event. Coach's trainers, and family members of skates. Wichita holding a vigil at noon today- -67 people GONE
@approxinfinity Ya real tragedy, saying this is the deadliest crash back till 2001. They had the audio between the Air controller and helicopter and they asked the copter if they had visual of the plane. They responded they did and requested permission to dis-engage, some question if they actually saw the jet they were about to hit or was if the jet taking off from that other runway?
Dam this is so sad, an American Airline jet, not the real big jet saying probably a jeet that would carry 60/70 people, not sure how many was on board - - -- -But still Jet collided with a military helicopter in mid air at Regan Dc airport.
Have found out being reported the Military helicopter shouldn't of been there, was over the Potomac River, not sure about the causalities at this point rescue & search boats on the river now.

Couple of things you may/may not know about the end of game from last night. Coach said he told the guys to foul on the final possession BEFORE the guy got to half court NOT after , and they didn't do that. could of been costly. He said that's why he doesn't like to foul in those situations.
He also said about that last possession that the officials when they went to the table , they were only checking about the time NOT if the guy was in his shooting motion, saying that wasn't something they could review even if they wanted to. - It was all about the time left.
He also said the officials said when UCF was trying to say he was in the act of shooting all the officials were saying Oh No , No , No .

@Texas-Hawk-10 that's very true, both them and us have had various problems effecting our Seasons. Should be interesting to see how it goes. got to avoid slow start. @BeddieKU23 Thanks for the input, greatly appreciated. I think it's this coming year that it expands to 15 for the roster & like you said , going to be almost a brand new team. The only difference I see well not rally difference but anyways I agree with Storr gone-- -because he was looking for the NBA draft experimenting/researching it before this Season and with the way things have played out- BUT the other is like I said before is I don't see Rylan coming back. I don't think he really is happy, I think if you were to ask he would tell you he made a wrong decision by coming here.
I think to a lesser degree him and AJ just hasn't fir -- hasn't fulfilled expectations and it's in his head now. Now this last game he played great, but like we saw with AJ and his really good showing, now AJ came right back down and was his for the year AJ. -- Rylan been pretty sporadic just really hasn't turned out like we thought. Put that with the way the Portal has become a ?crutch for these players, they just think screw this and enter the Portal - -AGAIN
I agree it's going to be a completely different team. In a way this portal has became a nuisance because like I heard it has really changed recruiting, ?Coach's are almost have to recruit like JC- - they are basically recruiting for two years instead of four.- -Your going to see more and more High School kids get screwed because these College Coach's are going to go after kids with experience and kids that are good players , solid players but not great players- -these are the types of players that may need a couple of years to progress/develop.
Well with this portal now- -a lot of those types aren't being recruited as much. Coach's don't feel they have the time to develop kids , maybe those three/four year players/. Now with the portal I think it ha hurt team chemistry, these kids just get here and then they are gone.
The group doesn't REALLY get the time to really bond- -no continuity makes it hard to make that cohesiveness.- -I don't know I'm just babbling trying to make a point on this portal.- -It is good in some ways but bad in many others. Lance and the guys have busted down the barrier that was with the Kansas High School Coach's and KU Staff. A lot of bad blood between Kansas High School Coach's and Previous KU staff. KU staff didn't recruit their own Kansas kids, a lot of times not giving them even the time of daay , caused a lot of friction. Lance and his group have re connected and finally has gotten through, mde good friendships now and doing quite wll and K/State people hate it

If Juan was the only player on the team to miss his free throws I'd be a little more critical BUT he wasn't . He actually did fine ( for the most part ) did he miss huge free throws ? -Absolutely -- yet so did others Rylan - - Zeke at critical times. I would say Juan's eight points - -2/3 from the three- - twelve assists -- & ONE turnover is a pretty good games worth should be good enough- -well for most it would be
@approxinfinity The guys here are right in this respect though I will say this. When KJ does come back, chances are he will be back in the starting line up 7 the only thing is Coach has to keep getting Flory more floor time. Period, he just can't hinder Flory's progress KJ ha to understand and actually as much as he loves KU- -I actually think if he were to get less because of Flory KJ would be ok with that if he realized it's what's best. KJ still gt his minutes but just not as many. -Be better for KJ - Be better for the team
Well guys & Gals I'm afraid it's time we face reality. Face the truth , I've been told many times that the truth hurts sometimes, but it is what it is. Heard this from a podcast I listened to the other day well actually , have heard from a couple & I agree pretty much with them & that is :- - Is KU still the Creme - -the BIG DADDY of the Big 12 Conference ? - -Or have they as they say have they fallen back to the pack ?
Truthfully the answer is Yes they have fallen back. KU's dominance ruling the Big 12 in Basketball days are over- - - gone. As hard as it is to say I have to agree 100 %. No longer are you going to see KU just breeze through the Conference and just knock the dog snot out of the other members. That is just not gonna happen anymore . Those days are gone.
We as fans have become very , very spoiled and for some can't seem to face reality.- - Like they said in the podcast with the arrival of the combination of the NIL & the way the portal has become there is becoming a lot more parity.
With the way the portal has become it has made it harder because of other Schools dealing in the NIL. -- The Portal has become a hindrance and teams are finding it harder to get any continuity that cohesiveness, players here today- - gone tomorrow, harder to bond with other players when here today , gone tomorrow.
The truth is the Truth- -The days of winning the Conference fourteen yrs straight any more are long gone -- Those were the dominant years, You've never seen any other School do that in Conference and you won't. That only came from the guy that doesn't know how to run his program and favors players- -Ya we have fell back, with the expansion of the league some power teams such as Arizona/Houston it's pretty well evening it out.
At the end of the day-- -were gonna be Ok , you find out that the next day the Sun still comes up , your still above ground/breathing The Earth is still in rotation -- Have to realize - -it's ok - -It's a fricken Basketball game for GOD'S sake just Breathe - -find a hobby - -If your one that is so upset with the way Coach runs the program- - The way he favors players , been doing and more then likely will continue to do , if your so miserable because of these things then do yourself a favor- - Find ANOTHER team to root for, simple you will feel much better and it's not that hard & you'll be much happier.
The only other solution I can think of for you to do if your so mad at Self is --just go into and see if you can talk with Coach and voice your dis pleasure Stand up to him be the man and let him know how unhappy you are with the way he is running the program. I'm sure he be glad to listen That leaves you with only one thing to do after - - I refer to a great song to express it's called " Pop a top again " = =Oh ya just kick back pop that top enjoy life realize it's just a game and embrace that ice cold brew- -Ahhhh.
