Yikes they better not make many more 3s
Dedric looks so good
Maybe the fathead curtain distracted him
Nice assist grimes
Curtain of distraction? Oh brother
Sweet pass!
Does AZ score besides FTs?
Garrett airball, really?
Lawson has a beautiful spin move
Just turned the game on and I’m already tired of walton
Yea, but look at the games we've lost so far this year... oh wait. :)
You’re right that his numbers suck, but I’ve seen flashes of confidence and idk, there’s just something about the way he plays that makes me think the light is going go on one day for him.
Then again, I thought that about Sam last year too.
Then again, I sure didn’t think that about BIFM freshman year.
Hard to tell from such s small sample I guess.
True, but even Svi never went 8 for 8 and then another 7 for 12 the next game... Vick was a machine earlier. Very unexpected but most welcome and I’m sure hoping he finds that happy place many more times this season!
Nice call to those who liked the Zags last night, so nice to see the dooksters get taken down. And happy Turkey Day to all the board rats.
Quietly, slowly, had a really nice game tonight. Solid FT shooter. Smart player. I think he’ll get way better as we go along. Still think he could use a redbull right before the game tho, he seems to be in slow motion sometimes.
I liked his penetration, one of the only guys consistently driving all the way to the bucket... just couldn’t finish. But yea thought someone else should be getting some of those minutes. The Jamari analogy does seem relevant too.
Doke on the bench all late first half, got our butts kicked. Doke playing hard all early second half, out scored them 22-0. Coincidence?
Dotson was a stud, but after all my doggin on Dedric so far, he kept cool and, somewhat Perrylike in its quietness, had a great game. I give him the mvp. Tho without Doke (as usual) we’d have been hurtin
Good guys win yet again and are the number 1 team in the country yet again. Good to be a Jayhawk fan
Dedric!
Fair enough. I Just have trouble with the “entitlement” vibe here sometimes. We can’t win em all.
But that logic is the higher ranked team should win every time right?
Thank heaven too, that team was crazy good.
We “should” be winning? So we should never lose then? Tell Duke that. Gotta bring it each night, the unis don’t win the game

I don't know why everyone is so happy. Yes, Kansas is winning but they've looked like garbage guarding the 3-point line for most of the game.
Umm, cuz we’re winning?
Dedric!
Nuther nice Garrett drive, but no points
Marquette 0-10 second half, ouch
Mitch!
Lawson Miss again... sigh
17-0 run, dang Bill chewed some ass during half time
Dotson driving!
Doke still can’t hit FTs... sigh
Garrett can penetrate, just wish it would go in. But like having the lead and the tempo
marquette is getting in foul trouble and that should cost them

21 of Marquette's 33 shots were 3s.
Yep our Achilles heel is well known now.
Let’s see if we can adjust for this half.
Give Dedric a Redbull, pull Garrett, get Vick open, keep Doke from fouling, stop passing like grade schoolers, and find someone who can finish a drive. Sheesh

WSU now 2-3 after a loss to a bad Alabama team.
If it wasn't for Vick going lights out for the last two games, we might be in a similar spot

i wish that some of you hadn't pissed off a certain conspiracy theorist ( ShoeCo). He would've written a novel about Dedric being under MK Ultra mind control, which is why he donked out of his last two games.
I was wondering where Jaybate went...
yep, count me on the official vick bandwagon now
we sorta made the other guys look pretty good, but hey, wins are wins, and good guys win again
More good news from last night...
"Wichita State takes embarrassing L
Wichita State hasn’t missed an NCAA tournament since 2011, but the Shockers may have their work cut out for them to make it back to an eighth straight Big Dance. Gregg Marshall’s team was out-rebounded by 11 and shot just 37 percent from the field in a 71-58 loss to visiting Louisiana Tech Tuesday night. The loss marked the first time the Shockers have dropped a home opener since 1995.
Marshall has led WSU to at least 25 wins for nine straight seasons, but the makeup of this team is different. Nine of the 13 players on the Shockers roster are playing Division-I basketball for the first time. That inexperience was on full display in the lopsided loss to a Louisiana Tech team that went 16-17 last season."
yep, count me in on the moore bandwagon
Early on I was so impressed with Doke's improvement. It seemed his awareness, ability to pass when he didn't have anything and most importantly, his FT stroke looked like a different player. swishing 3 of 4 early. But then he clanked the rest, and important ones too at the end when things were close. He gave a great effort but was just looking gassed at the end and we know how being tired can really effect your shot. Also, some of his 4 fouls were junk calls, but still, he probably should not have been in there in the final minutes. Hope Huddy can keep improving his conditioning because he really looked good early on.
I didn't get a chance to see any pre-season games, so my early impressions watching the first 10 minutes of this game were dizzying trying to take in all the new stuff.
I know most weren't impressed here with Moore and his numbers weren't good - 11 mins, 3 fouls, 1 pt, 1 attempt, no buckets, no assists. Ok that's not good at all. But for some reason I still had a positive impression. No turnovers, some nice passes and he just looked relaxed early on, maybe not so much later. I think we'll see good things from him, hopefully this year, but probably next.
Unlike Moore, Dedric's stats (on an off night even) were impressive. Really excited about watching him blossom under Self for his year with us.
Unlike Dedric's off night, Grimes was definitely on - 30 mins, 7-14 FGs, 6-10 3s, 4 assists, 1 TO and a steal. Another blossom in Self's garden of abundance this year.
Mitch filled in well, as he did last year.
For all his minutes and new engagement level, Vick the senior did not impress.
KJ had some nice plays with his brother and I expect to see some more of that later this year, but not a bunch more. Next year though, he could be a stud.
Overall, great game and, once we gel, this team should be a juggernaut.
Another great year to be a jayhawk fan!
good guys win again, i like it
i talk about Doke nice FTs and he bricks both. I think I'll just stop making observations and jinxing them
completely different mechanics for doke's charity shots
doke again!
and smooth FT for the big man too!
doke!
drained some clock anyways
