KU hasn’t released anything. There was never a PC scheduled for noon today. That was just a rumor.
@Wigs2 it’s not just about a coaching change. It is about a culture change. This program needs a reboot.
@approxinfinity yep after these elections if the Democrats don’t win then the nation is deciding it doesn’t want to continue 👍🏻
Because that tweet is absolutely pathetic and exactly why liberals lost the in 2016.
Wait. Are you endorsing that tweet?
I was at the game today and if there were not any Iowa St fans there I would guess it would have been 5-7,000 KU fans. There is no fan support for this program and coach. I don’t blame anyone for not going or wanting to go. The product that Beaty trots out there every week is a joke.
After listening to Matt Scott on the podcast that @BShark posted yesterday I honestly think this came down to Nova telling him he could play the 3. Why he thinks he is a 3 is beyond me and most scouts, but hey that's his prerogative.
People read way too much into exhibition games. Ballard even mentioned it last night about how hard it is to get guys up for games like that. He mentioned his times at KU and what the locker room was like before those games. KU's intensity and focus will be on a whole different level come Tuesday and the rotation will be much shorter which will help the guys get into a rhythm.
I will take KU 74 - 63

Keegan's last article?
Keegan is going to the Boston Herald.
Does anyone have a KenPom subscription? Interested as to what he predicts for the score on Tuesday.
I too am very intrigued with how Self handles KJ. We already know his dad is kind of a loud mouth and there are the two younger brothers. Will be very interesting.
Big Dave might redshirt this year with Ochai.
@BigBad doesn’t talk smack. Just goes out and beats your ass every time!
Lawson’s game is absolutely effortless . So fun to watch.
@joeloveshawks I agree. They will be fine Tuesday.
Also , everyone should keep in mind that Self isnt running any plays.
Vick knocking down some shots tonight. Good stuff.
I know it’s only a game and a half of exhibitions but I don’t see a lottery pick in Grimes right now.

KJ is kind of butt
He has not done anything for me yet.
When Self coached team USA didn’t Grimes shoot the ball really well?
Need Vick to see a couple go through the net
I mean it doesn't take a genius to know that the stock market is due for a HUGE correction. I would bet by the end of 2019 that it is down around 20,000-21,000. That is just the way the market goes. It is well past due for a correction.
I know most think Dedric will be gone after this year, but I haven't seen one mock or ranking system that puts him in the 2019 first round. However, I do think he will be gone after this year.
No way they fire him with that recruiting class coming in. I agree with @BeddieKU23 this is nothing but a PR move.
So those of you that enjoy CNN and are left leaning. Can you please explain to me how this is not a racist statement...
"We have to stop demonizing people and realize the biggest terror threat in this country is white men, MOST of them radicalized to the right" Don Lemon
Imagine if a white person said that on Fox News. The left wants to sit around and blame the Fox News and Trump supporters for riling up the country, and then sit around and let this bullshit air.
@BShark why do you say that about Hurt?
@jayballer73 Traded him to the Ravens for 2020 7th round pick. Safe to say they wanted to get rid of him.
Rams just got Dante Fowler.
@jayballer73 you got your wish!
I understand it is not the end of the world, and KU will be fine in the end. However, missing on JRE is a pretty epic swing and miss. Hard to believe Self and the staff couldn't close the deal on this one.
Anthony’s final 6 are Oregon, UNC, Norte Dame, Miami, Georgetown, and Wake Forrest.
No surprise but Cole Anthony cut KU.

@BeddieKU23 There is a lot more smoke around Miller than Self. Be interesting to see how the national media handles that. Also for people that don't believe this happens at the overwhelming majority of major programs just look at this article and McDermot and Creighton. I mean he seems like a straight laced guy but I would think it is safe to say he was "playing the game"

@jayballer73 I think the biggest issue with the Packers is Mike McCarthy. He is low key a bad coach imho.
He is pretty bad given what they have had, but how in the world have they never had a RB worth a damn?! That always blows my mind.
I’m to the point where I’d be surprised if he plays this year. Also I would let him and Houston go after the his year.
Sounds like DJ Jeffries will committ to Memphis this morning. Top 40 kid who is the cousin of the Lawson twins if I remember correctly.
@Gorilla72 They can't wear American flag symbols?! What a joke. Sad thing is liberals and Dems are OK with that, and more worried about the illegals.
I think I read he lost 30 pounds. He is definitely thinner.
I think it would be best for him to RS. As Self said he is way too good to waste a year playing 5 minutes a game in the non con and then probably not playing at all once conference season starts. I think it would be best for him and the program.
@mayjay I agree that the SS Medicare myth of it being kept afloat is completely bogus. I would bet a overwhelming majority of employers are withholding the money and just pocketing it.
People that are in favor of just letting people in ( anyone) do you just not care that it cost you and everyone else more money in taxes, health care premiums, etc... ?
I was with a group of guys the other night and this topic somehow came up and those were two of the main talking points. When illegals come in and have to go to the doctor or hospital without insurance and can't pay the bills who do you think pays it?
Then Moore turns it over and gets beat on D 🤦🏻♂️
I think Moore is going to get more run than people think. Especially if he can knock down the three ball.
Dedric is going to be fun as hell to watch!
@jayballer73 Yes
@Kcmatt7 the main difference is obviously pros can wear whatever shoe they want. If you went to KU you would have to wear Adidas I would think or the apparel contracts would be drastically affected.
I will admit that I was against forever, and only in the last year have I changed my opinion on this. I do NOT think the schools should pay the student athletes. Nobody is making these kids go to school. They can go to the G league, Europe, or sit out a year and train. There is a reason 99.99% of them go to college.
However, I do think that if said company wants to endorse a kid then they should be able to accept that money and still be able to go to college. It would be interesting if for example Josh Jackson went to Kansas and while their was endorsed by Under Armour. I am not sure how that would work. Obviously he would have to wear Adidas while in uniform and practice.
@Crimsonorblue22 I think they would back him no matter what unless he did something truly egregious. Look at what Urban Meyer did and Ohio St stood by him. Hall of fame coaches do not grow on trees. Think about the amount of money Self earns the school. There is no way they cut ties without unless they have too.
Self said last night at his presser that he is not going to talk about this for the rest of the season. There are things that he still can not talk about until this whole thing is over. that could literally be years. By then nobody will care, and he still probably will not comment on it.
Also when asked last night if Self thought it was OK for coaches to have contact with people like Gassanola he literally laughed at the absurdity of the question. So if you are looking for policies that ban that you are going to be very disappointed. Like Self said it is ridiculous to say who a coach can and can not talk too. If you say coaches can not talk to shoe execs then do you also say they can not talk to handlers, financial planners, etc... That is not going to happen.
As Self also said shoe companies have influence over ALL levels of basketball. Whether people like it or not it plays a huge role in a lot of different aspects of the game. It would be dumb for Self not too have good relationships with not just Adidas execs, but execs from NIke, UA, and now Puma.
@Crimsonorblue22 I read Sam's article. Typical stuff from the Star. I also saw a article from someone from Sports Illustrated that basically said that since Silvio has to sit out that Self should have to sit out as well. Of course it was retweeted and commented on by many media people agreeing with him.
Hopefully Self can do exactly as he said in his presser last night and block out all the noise and not let all of this become a distraction.
