Not sure how you keep Udeh off the floor. And if the plan is still kj for small ball…

@BShark

I’m gonna be unbearable when Elmarko and Chris should be the starting 1-2 or 2-3 with Bobby at the 1 next year

Bobby is gonna be in the rafters before he leaves. Lol.

Peyton Manning Game Thread • Nov 08, 2022 01:47 AM

This team is gonna have some ugly minutes but the pretty ones sure are nice.

Peyton Manning Game Thread • Nov 08, 2022 01:46 AM

Bobby for 3!!!

Peyton Manning Game Thread • Nov 08, 2022 01:46 AM

This team could be dangerous in March. They are still figuring so much out.

Peyton Manning Game Thread • Nov 08, 2022 01:43 AM

Do think Udeh is gonna pick up his fair share of fouls this year. Not sure how more haven’t been called on him tbh.

Peyton Manning Game Thread • Nov 08, 2022 01:42 AM

Udeh is a problem on d. Gets his hands on so many balls!

Peyton Manning Game Thread • Nov 08, 2022 01:41 AM

@BShark I thought self WASNT coaching tonight.

Peyton Manning Game Thread • Nov 08, 2022 01:39 AM

@kuballin10 he might have been tired. Tough pace to keep up with.

Peyton Manning Game Thread • Nov 08, 2022 01:38 AM

Bobby player of the year in 2024.

Peyton Manning Game Thread • Nov 08, 2022 01:38 AM

Nope. Jalen is the one.

Peyton Manning Game Thread • Nov 08, 2022 01:34 AM

Big 12 player of the year, jalen Wilson.

Peyton Manning Game Thread • Nov 08, 2022 01:34 AM

Bobby in. Let’s turn up the speed even more.

Peyton Manning Game Thread • Nov 08, 2022 01:33 AM

And Kevin is very good.

Peyton Manning Game Thread • Nov 08, 2022 01:32 AM

Udeh is IMPACTING this game.

Peyton Manning Game Thread • Nov 08, 2022 01:31 AM

Harris, McCullar, Udeh is a sick defensive anchor.

Peyton Manning Game Thread • Nov 08, 2022 01:30 AM

@FarmerJayhawk this teams best d long term is with him down low to protect the rim. I think he’ll get there this year.

Peyton Manning Game Thread • Nov 08, 2022 01:29 AM

Udeh is gonna be good.

Peyton Manning Game Thread • Nov 08, 2022 01:28 AM

Rim protector???

Peyton Manning Game Thread • Nov 08, 2022 01:27 AM

@BShark well he would have cut that first half run with a wild substitution to break the flow. But. Yeah. He’s a pretty good coach I guess.

Peyton Manning Game Thread • Nov 08, 2022 01:25 AM

@BShark like, are coaches not watching the game and seeing him flop around out there?

Peyton Manning Game Thread • Nov 08, 2022 01:23 AM

Why is Harris still out there?

Peyton Manning Game Thread • Nov 08, 2022 01:16 AM

Guys gotta grab that rebound.

Peyton Manning Game Thread • Nov 08, 2022 01:15 AM

Dick in the right spot at the right time again.

Peyton Manning Game Thread • Nov 08, 2022 01:12 AM

MJ this years Remy?

Peyton Manning Game Thread • Nov 08, 2022 01:11 AM

Grady and jalen trying to step into that Och and Braun roles. Will be interesting to see if they can keep it up.

Peyton Manning Game Thread • Nov 08, 2022 01:10 AM

Dick has made a few mistakes driving and jumping into nowhere but that’s about all you can complain about his game right now.

Peyton Manning Game Thread • Nov 08, 2022 01:09 AM

@approxinfinity he plays with the kind of energy self cat resist. Can’t imagine he is on the bench at the beginning (or end) of any game from here on out.

Peyton Manning Game Thread • Nov 08, 2022 01:01 AM

@approxinfinity I can’t tell. But sounds like they may just be saying “dick, dick, dick dick dick”

Peyton Manning Game Thread • Nov 08, 2022 01:00 AM

@bskeet perfect.

Peyton Manning Game Thread • Nov 08, 2022 12:58 AM

@BeddieKU23 so could dick…

Peyton Manning Game Thread • Nov 08, 2022 12:55 AM

Anyone catch what fans are doing after every dick bucket??

Peyton Manning Game Thread • Nov 08, 2022 12:54 AM

Bobby gets downhill FAST

Peyton Manning Game Thread • Nov 08, 2022 12:42 AM

@Jethro mine died too. Had to pull it up on my phone and AirPlay it.

Ok. Figured this was the thread for such a question. Am I wrong or does Kansas still have an outside chance of playing in the big 12 championship game? With three games left on the schedule, KU is 3 games back of the 1 spot and even if TCU lost out, the records would be tied and TCU owns the head to head.

But, Texas, Baylor, and KSU are all 4-2 in conference play while KU is 3-3. Games against Texas and KSU could allow KU to square those records AND own the tie breaker. So it would just be up to Baylor to lose two of the last three. Right? Would seriously love a rematch with TCU.

Okie St. Pokie Game • Nov 05, 2022 06:59 PM

@FarmerJayhawk Seems like he just hits the right hole every time. Even when it’s for like 3 yards, it’s the best hole there is.

The 5 spot • Nov 05, 2022 05:08 PM

anyone know if we’ve pressed that much in a preseason game before? Was it just a result of being way down or an actual glimpse at a possible strategy this year? Normally the bill self full court defense is just straight man to man pick up your guy on the inbounds but I saw Juan and jalen working traps and trying to really disrupt, leaving a ball hawk like McCullar to get in passing lanes. Will be interesting to see if self pulls that out again or goes back to his normal stuff.

Insane Scrimmage/Exhibition Results • Oct 31, 2022 03:02 AM

@kuballin10 I watched that whole game. Could have just been a hot shooting night from Tennessee, or if you combine shooting like that with the traditional Rick Barnes, rough house defense, they could be a problem. They were certainly physical in a way Gonzaga just wasn’t ready for. Had a lightning quick guard who facilitated well and drove with an eye to score but awareness enough to find shooters no matter how deep he got.

The 4-Out Rotation • Oct 27, 2022 06:45 PM

@drgnslayr Some people might STILL argue it was a mistake to give Dajuan minutes even though we won the whole thing. Those people will be back this year claiming MJ should be getting more minutes over Dajuan. He doesn't make the obviously outstanding plays so he will always be underappreciated.

Bulletin Board Material • Oct 27, 2022 06:43 PM

@BShark He should win coach of the year every year in conference. Except maybe the year Baylor won the natty. And whatever year we lost the streak.

Bulletin Board Material • Oct 27, 2022 02:51 PM

Please underestimate this team. That was the fuel for last years run.

TCU Shenanigans • Oct 26, 2022 06:35 PM

@Crimsonorblue22 If I remember right, that one was. Head shot on a sliding QB. Pretty sure the guy got called for targeting and ejected from the game.

Future Big 12 Schedules • Oct 19, 2022 05:07 PM

?s=46&t=uc_8Aw3n6hKR4wzbMNSmIQ

Some perspective on the KU schedule.

Has KU been favored in any game yet other than the first game? Were they favored against Duke? They will be underdogs in EVERY game from here on out and I saw they have the #1 strength of schedule in the country left to go. I keep going back and forth but pretty much think losing out would still be disappointing, one more win is good, two or more is great. Does losing out help us keep Lance?

If anyone would have told me at the beginning of the year that we would be 5-2 with losses of 7 points to TCU (a top 15 team) and 10 points at OU, I would have been over the moon and never would have believed it. We got a bounce back game from OU. They did to us what KU basketball does to folks to get out of a slump. It's what good teams do. Progress has been made without a doubt this year no matter what happens from here on out. Now, for KU football to be a good team, they need to respond to their own mini slump. The defense has been bad the last 6 quarters, the offense has struggled at inopportune times while being overall still very good. And while they've already exceeded anyone's expectations for the year, they now get these next few games to prove if they are a GOOD team or not. Whether they are better than previous Kansas teams going back a decade or more is no longer in question.

My hope for this year is that we are now appropriately placed as a fringe top 25 team sitting in the middle of the big 12 pack.

Future Big 12 Schedules • Oct 15, 2022 02:59 AM

I assume they’ll go back to not playing every team in football too. That 2007 team was great but did dodge OU, Texas, and Texas tech (I think) when those teams were pretty solid.

Just Beat Duke, OK! • Sep 24, 2022 11:21 PM

@stoptheflop said in Just Beat Duke, OK!:

Duke was much better than I thought they would be. KU definitely had to play its best game to win this. Jalon was great; next level passing and in the first half his rushes gave us a great start to the game. Duke's defense was there on all our big passing plays and mostly stopped the run in the second half. Glad to get this win and move on to Iowa St.

I’d argue the big takeaway is that KU didn’t have to play its best game to win. Lot of mistakes. Penalties. (Some earned. Some not so much) and at least two scores left out there with the early no score on 4 and goal and then the fumble on what was surely a scoring drive.

How many 4ths down conversions did the defense give up after seemingly getting a stop for three downs?

Definitely not a clean game but Kansas was still the better team.

@KirkIsMyHinrich feel like I’ve seen three holds in the last 4 plays.

@approxinfinity Pretty sure that was Chelsea/Tottenham. My buddy is a Hot Spur fan and said that emotions were turned up that entire game. A goal in the 96th minute to secure a tie is always great drama.
