I know the Bragg for Cunliffe deal didn't work out for either team...maybe a Grimes for Jaylen Fisher deal????
Q is gone. well...It was nice knowing you
@BShark Jeff Goodman didn't confirm his source before he stated. He's deleted his report pretty quickly.
and Grimes is coming back!!!!!!!!
Devon is coming back....rest easy fans...rest easy. We're all good now!!!!
dotson news is coming!!!
So thinking more about Grimes. Could this be some BS where he transfers to say Texas A&M and applies for a special waiver so he can immediately play next year?

Kansas guard Quentin Grimes is withdrawing from the NBA Draft, a source tells @247Sports. Averaged 8.4 PPG, 2.5 RPG & 2.0 APG this past season.
If Grimes comes back to KU...which I think he will because of sitting out a year...that would be great for the mighty Jayhawks!!!!!! Or he could pull an RJ...then, I won't care for him anymore
Grimes is withdrawing from the draft??? No word on transfer tho

Three guys who can really change the college hoops landscape next season:
Devon Dotson/Quentin Grimes
Jordan Nwora
Grimes was considered gone, but considered a second-rounder (at best) and could wind up coming back to KU.
Dotson and Nwora are toss-ups.
well...I'm glad Tucker didn't provide false hopes! come on Dotson!
He won his appeal. Silvio is back!!!!!
I didn't think anyone could get suspended for 2 years either. When it comes to the ncaa, I have to take myself out of logical thinking and just throw stuff at the wall and see what sticks.
Could it be the ncaa gave an ultimatum....well give you sds next year but you take down the final four banner and give up all wins and return your 14th rings...or keep the banner and the rings and the accolades and sds stays out per our original ruling.
This is the first I saw this. I apologize if someone posted this earlier.

I always fall back to "I couldn't give a shit right now for north carolina" and memories of brown leaving in 88 has me feeling a new regime is a brewin.
I just watched 2 replays of Northeastern and I'm not impressed. A 2/3 zone defense that's easily penetrated with a drive. #12 shoots the ball quickly and only 3's. #22 launches it from everywhere on his side of the court. #30 is the "big" guy who's responsible for rebounds and doesn't block out. The other big does the same every time he tries score...get ball in middle of paint...spin left and push in to lay it in with right hand. They'll shoot 35 3's...if they make 20...they have their one shining moment. I change my prediction. 23 point win.
Zion the greatest ever? Hardly. He's good...but Durant is, and was, by far a better player and more exciting to watch. If Zion did what Durant did in the following, ESPN would be talking about it...FOREVER.
Also...if you go to 1:32:13 .... merely a preview to "the shot" of 2008.
I'm not worried about auburn. We have a good path..
Northeastern.- 15 point win
rematch with New Mexico State: 10 point win
Fighting Roy's: KU steals every pass like in 2008. Jump out to 30 point lead. squeak by with 5 point win.
Iowa State: Revenge game with a 20 point win
UVA: cold shooting night from UVA. win 58-55
Duke: play 2/3 zone. watch zion get 25...rest of duke shoots 2 - 40 from 3. win by 15
ESPN bitches KU got home court advantage and 2/3 zones vs and inept 3 point shooting duke team is illegal. Forces NCAA to have sanctions on KU not for amateur violations...but just because they didn't get their happy ending.

Remember when we used to have only one or two awful performances per season?
Last year was a struggle for about an 8 game stretch starting with washington...everybody was having career nights.

So Grimes has a banked in 3 and 3 turnovers.
He only has 3 turnovers???? That's the most surprising thing I've heard all night
Only down 22...just need about 40 stops in tje last 3 minutes and we got this
It's so bad that espn is giving ku points on Oklahoma buckets
When this game was like 7 -6...I was thinking this is great...we're starting well and we seem to have energy and McCormick is helping out....then down by 11 about 2 minutes later.
It's so bad...grimes is coming back in
See ya grimes.
That is the first time ever I have seen self just sit there when the team is coming to the bench
Only dedric shoots from now on....the rest of the season included
Winning on the road is fools gold.
@joeloveshawks I feel the same...but I also think it could be a manek 3, Lawson missed bunny, buddy heild lite 3, grimes clank, and some layup...and dowe by 21...but the good news is we would be out of tos and the pain suffering will end quicker
Soooo...while I to miss the ramblings of one Jaybate, I will concede that after more than 30 years of being a Jayhawks fan, this year has taken a toll on me. I'm fully expecting a probation ruling next season and all the fixins associated with it including limited recruiting trips, scholarships...blah, blah, blah. I'm also fully expecting 2017-18 season to be erased from the books. So that was my rock bottom...no big deal. I'll root for these kids, wish nothing but the best for them and continue to hate Weber, Shaka, Big Dixon, Huggs, Prohm, Drew, Boynton, Beard and Marsha (just because. I like Kruger, so I'll always root for that guy unless he's facing the Jayhawks) ...until now. Until I read what I'm praying to the good lord in heaven is merely click bait...

If this happens, I throw my hands up in the air, give up, and redistribute my fanhood to my alma mater and division II bottom dwelling school and use the Jayhawks as my..."oh, that's nice they won" outlet.

@bmensch1 I still need more convincing other than one good game before my expectations get too high.
Go back and watch the last 30 years of ku basketball..you need more convincing than that...cheer for espn and the blue devils. If you are talking about this year...watch the Tennessee game, michigan st game, iowa state at home, OK game...there is plenty of evidence that this team is fine. If I remember correctly, you were one of the few that counted the Jayhawk out after Washington, AZ state, and a scrapper again Nebraska last year. The fine Jayhawk only made it to a final four. They're real good. They'll be fine.
So is everybody back on the bandwagon now? Keep the faith friends. Keep the faith.
Whether number 1 in the RPI, 9 in the polls or 19 in the NET...the young men from Lawrence (and whatever Dedric is classified as) have this. I don't care how many close games have been played to date nor the 3 losses thus far, I just don't see how any team in America can be considered than KU this season.
Here's my logic....about this time last year, there was a growing sentiment that Malik was terrible. Couldn't do anything...just terrible. We were coming up on A&M and several were just looking to our "transfer" class of this year. Then all of the sudden, ol' Malik got it. Started becoming more aggressive and then the shots fell. Without him...no conference title, no conference championship title, no final four. This same breakout is happening with Garrett now, and soon...very soon, it will happen with Grimes. I believe we'll beat UK. I believe we'll run the table in conference. I don't believe we'll win the conference tourney, but I do believe, we'll march thru Capital One Arena in DC as a 2 seed and beat Duke in the Elite 8...again. Beat Michigan State from Midwest...again this year...Then beat Gonzaga in the national championship.

It's a bad loss...no big deal. Believe in self and the jayhawks.
I tend to follow nbadraft.net..It was updated wednesday and Doke is the only one listed in 2019...but 2020 revealed a new name. Agbaji at number 12.
I hate to ask this but I was hoping for some help on getting a recap on the 2019 recruiting situation:
In short, we have McBride and Braun signed. Hurt is the only viable option....correct?
I'm looking at next year and I'm anticipating no one transfers and Dedric is the only professional:
starters: Dotson, Grimes, Agbaji, Doke, Garrett
bench: mitch, KJ, chuck, silvio, Big Mac, Mcbride, Braun and one open scholly if Hurt doesn't sign.
@Crimsonorblue22
actually...after some looking I did find his stats

@Crimsonorblue22
finding Traylor's stats are hard without paying for them since he plays in Japan. I will say he had a great opening night
Big man Jamari Traylor, a University of Kansas product, paced Hiroshima with 29 points and grabbed 15 rebounds, while fellow newcomer Eric Thompson added 13 points and eight boards. Hiryu Okamoto scored 12 points and Kenji Yamada and Tomomasa Ozawa each had six points.
Motto remains the same...once a Jayhawk...always a Jayhawk

I was real excited for TRob until I looked up the stats for Beijing BeiKong and saw former Baylor PG Pierre Jackson is averaging 39.8 points in 25 games. 23 and 15 is still respectable though.
Uggghhh....time to take out done for the rest of the game
Small ball is fools gold.
Dedric time!!!!!
