I’d say it’s nothing more than click bait until proven otherwise.
If you think Houston will beat GS bet on team LeBron (or the Celtics if you think they’ll win) at the Golden Nugget and you can collect on the finals before the first game tips off.

KU only has Jacobs so far and th rest is just smoke at this time and the same is true for most of the teams in the list. Until a player signs a LOI nothing is certain, Ayton comes to mind, and even then, the prospect can always decomit.
Agreed, but KU basketball content is in a slow period. I would greatly appreciate if you/others would post links as well (like @bshark et al) to satiate my appetite for KU news, even if it’s fabricated. :)
@BShark I thought R.J. to duke was a done deal.
@jayballer73 It’s no biggie. KU underperforms most years also. It just means expectations were high and you likely got to enjoy a great regular season.
I’m glad the Yankees are good again. I love to hate them and it is only fun when they’re good.
Aaron Judge is something else. Wow!
And his Topps Heritage RC is amazing. If it doesn’t conjure up images of Mantle I doubt anything will.

Eat your heart out @jayballer73
Must not be too great if KU was pursuing Cremo.
Sounds stupid. I hate frats partially because of this crap too. If I have to pay and them jump through hoops to be your friend, we aren’t friends.
:face_palm:
More to come? Or just a great opportunity to kick a hated rival while they’re down?
Not to mention it’s not in the ncaa’s best interest to publicly air this out. They want uk, unc, and yes even KU to continue to draw tons of eyeballs attached to wallets to their product. This is even more true of football.
The Process is on schedule. I was just hoping for more!

What I don't understand.... is If Marcus shoots less than 50% from the line, why not change his stroke in the middle of the season? Were we trying to protect his 49% average?
:100:
@DoubleDD Except I like apples...
@Crimsonorblue22 I have no idea. Maybe because he looks like Brannen Greene?
@Crimsonorblue22 I hope he wasn’t trying to get away from big brother KU. I’m fairly certain KU is more on WSU’s mind than WVU and Wichita doesn’t get a chance to do anything about it. 😝
@Statmachine I like your logic on Silvio. I hadn’t thought about him declaring if Bill didn’t think he’d be eligible.
Looks like next years team will not have the 3 ball as a primary weapon. At least there doesn’t seem to be as many shooters on next years team as last.
I wonder if best way to attack a three point shooting team to stick in their pocket from across half court on D. Don’t allow any easy passes, much less shots. And on the offensive end drive the heck out of the ball aggressively into the defenders chest. Force the refs to blow the whistle and foul those suckers out.

@drgnslayr Sorry, l have to disagree. Many long time friends (KSU people) just become completely undesireable when KU is mentioned. For that reason l hope they lose every game game at every sport.
As for WSU people, they are more sociable and enjoyable, but Marshall makes it hard for me to promote them either.
From who I talk to most KSU fans cared more about KU losing to Nova than they did their own EE run.
I like to confuse the kitties. They come bashing KU nand I just tell them how wonderful I think their program is coming along (a little condescending I know). That they have a coach that seems to get more out of his roster than is possible (backhanded compliment insulting the roster quality). And that they are a threat to win the Big12. I send them away thinking KSU is great only to watch KU whoop that ass once again!
Doesn’t look good for the 76ers future if they can’t beet the Celtics this year. The Celtics return Kyrie Irving and Gordon Hayward next season. If Philly wants to compete they better sign another superstar.
Anybody here take the “Jump” class at KU? I had a couple friends who did. It sounded brutal. Lunges every class until you puked...several times. For a semester, but afterwards he gained well over a foot to his vertical leap.
OMG 😲 Stevens... ↗
@jaybate-1.0 I’ll ask my K-State friends...we all know the answer.
@drgnslayr Ouch. Not a ringing endorsement for all my friends who graduated from Kansas law...
@JayHawkFanToo Once again you make the logical choice that I would make as well. Like Romeo I don’t know where his heart is, but unlike Romeo I think KU has an excellent chance to land Dok’s services next year.
@ReggieKansas I agree he won’t be in the NBA next year, but I also really hope he’s back in a Kansas uniform and not overseas. He stated his goal was to be a two and done when he signed. I love his presence and hope a second year of playing for Self is in order.
You can make a case that few players nationally present as large a contrast between current draft stock and likely 2018-19 college impact as Udoka Azubuike.
In terms of his draft profile, Azubuike appears to be a work in progress. Bill Self's big man is a proven 2-point-making machine and promising rim defender, but, ideally, he'd post higher rebound percentages at his size and on a team that gave him little if any competition for those boards. Indeed, whether it's rebounding or low-foul shot-blocking (or, in the best of all worlds, both), Azubuike will likely have to show the NBA something more to offset a lack of 3-point ability to date.
When it comes to what he can do for his college team, however, Azubuike's decision might loom larger than that of any other single player. A return to the Jayhawks would give KU a big lift in preseason polls. Self will have the talent to contend for still another Big 12 title either way, surely, but an early exit by Azuibuike would mean KU's replacing all five starters from 2017-18.
I assume they mean a person working for an university directs payments from boosters. Not that the money comes from the school budget.
But he doesn’t realize his personality is the issue. He’s too introverted to pull the major endorsement money especially if he’s not playing.
Tired of the grind of playing for Pop. Wants to be paid and endorsed like a top 3 star.
Shoe deals:
Jordan 110 million
Durrant 25 million
Curry 16 million
Rose 11 million
Leonard 5 million
If Dok or Silvio don’t come back my expectations go way down.

@Crimsonorblue22 Geez, that’s a book! Cliff notes version, It’s the uncle.
@JayHawkFanToo Stephen A. Smith thinks its Kawhi’s uncle angling for more advertising money. He (S.A.S.) feels Kawhi would be better suited in a smaller city due to his personality.
IDK
Kawhi Leonard might be a better fit with Embiid and Simmons. It doesn’t look like he’s interested in playing for Pop anymore.
I walked out of a corn field (in SW Kansas) a few years ago with not a cloud in the sky over my head and zero wind. But just a couple miles in front of me was a feakin’ tornado in a little violent cloud. Crazy stuff.
Another day I checked a wheat field 5 miles south of town. I had to call my wife and tell her to get into the basement, because I could see a massive tornado about 3 miles NW of town. The tornado sirens were broken and the police were driving around town with their lights and sirens on. Most people went outside to see what the commotion was. Thankfully that crazy twister just sat in a 1/8 mile long path for around an hour. Menacing town, but never making a move. It could’ve had a high body count with the sirens not working and people confused like that.
Generally I see a tornado every 2-3 years. Fortunately they have not demolished my over-insured house. 🌪
Is LeBron the 4th or 5th best NBA team by himself?
@wissox Sure that would be nice, but they need another piece or two to compete with GS and Houston. I’m afraid Free Agency the way it is today doesn’t allow for a 100% drafted team to be able to compete with the super teams. My advantage is I have no chips in the game, so whatever happens, happens.

@jaybate-1.0 You can feel free to discuss it all you’d like in the appropriate section. I don’t find politics distasteful or disrespectful in the least bit, where it’s welcome. I find people’s inability to follow the very simple forum rules that are in place to insure polite discourse to be the issue and frankly quiet rude.
I’m not for censorship, but things have their place.
To be clear I completely read and usually enjoy all of your posts that relate to basketball on the court. I simply skip the more creative posts on shoe co stuff, politics, poems, and war. Many enjoy the posts so I hope they keep coming in the appropriate sections.
@jayballer73 that would be fun to watch! 3 dynamic players.
@wissox It sounds like the 76ers currently have a ton of cap space. Maybe they can add LeBron, Paul George or another star. Short term they could be scary. I hope long term they can keep the core together, but they need one more star or at least a couple more shooters.
@jaybate-1.0 As long as we’re airing things out I’ve despised all the shoe co talk for years. It’s not against the forum rules, so I don’t take offense. I just skim and skip.
@jaybate-1.0 not fear, I just find it distasteful and disrespect to bring up politics in a place it’s been requested not to, while technicially being a politician. I also do not like having religion shoved down my throat, but go to church. And yes, I can tie God to everything just as easily as politics.
Every political thread I’ve read on here has devolved to name calling and we lose members. I’m sick of losing KU fans to polarized politics.
Furthermore, I’ve never banned a poster, deleted a post, or kicked a thread over politics. I may not care for it, but unless it gets personal all I’ll do is move the thread to where it belongs, in the politics thread. Pretty simple.
In a four guard lineup it’s not an issue. I love having two talented point guards on the floor at once even in a traditional lineup, it puts a lot of pressure on the D. (I.e. Mario and Russell or Devonte’ and Frank)
@Crimsonorblue22 Garrett shooting from three last year was basically a turnover.
Eh. No big loss. Sr. Garrett should benefit from the increased minutes next year.
@JayHawkFanToo The quiet period isn't 100% hands off. The calendar is weird with scattered dates with recruiting possible. The day that Self was supposedly there was the last day to make legal face to face contct off campus (for awhile).
