I was surprised to see KU is the only team with a winning record on the road also.

It looks like Elway was drafted by KC Royals in 1979 out of HS. Too bad they didn't lock him up that would've been great for the Chiefs!
Later he was drafted by the Yankees and Baltimore tapped him #1 in football. He demanded a trade or he'd go play baseball and the rest is history.

@JayHawkFanToo I'm laying in bed currently. Keyboard works great (this one attaches so the ipad sits just like a laptop. It just depends on what your preferences are. I'd love to be out and about, but a stomach bug has me empty my stomach contents about once an hour. Yuck.

The request for a meeting came on Wednesday morning, just five days before Kansas’ exhibition opener. In the hours before an afternoon basketball practice, sophomore guard Conner Frankamp and his father, Marty, met with KU coach Bill Self.
The Frankamps wanted to discuss Conner’s future at Kansas — and they wanted to do it quickly. The meeting took place on Wednesday afternoon, and the specific nature of the conversation is still unknown. But the end result was an early-season shock to the Kansas basketball program.
On Thursday morning, Frankamp, a Wichita native and the all-time leading scorer in Wichita history, was contacting Self again: He was leaving the KU program, and he was doing so immediately.
“It wasn’t anything that we wanted to have happen,” Self said on Friday, after announcing Frankamp’s departure earlier in the day. “He was part of our future plans, and certainly we anticipated him playing a much, much larger role this year.”
In a statement released by KU officials, Frankamp was clear and honest about his reasons for leaving. A 6-foot guard who played sparingly as a freshman, Frankamp was looking for assurances of ample playing time. When it became clear that might not be possible this season at Kansas, he decided to move on.

@globaljaybird I'm a bit too young to truly appreciate the Boson LA rivalry. I watched Jordan exclusively in the NBA. When he retired from the Bulls I quit watching the NBA. He was just too good/fun to watch, I couldn't bare to watch inferior talent.

@drgnslayr I haven't watched them recently, but the little bit I watched them earlier they aren't very athletic. Don't have great ball handlers. And are boring. KU would destroy these Shockers on the nights I've seen them play.
KU is amongst the top 3% of NCAA teams that ESPN shows on tv. More full KU games are televised on ESPN that any other team. It's common to see KU highlights on sports center. It's a national audience and they don't all want to see just KU.
UCLA, Duke, UNC, Kentucky, and Kansas all dominate the national sporting news. I'd really hate to try and follow other teams as it'd be tough work to find the amount of information currently at our disposal about our team.
It's all about ratings. If KU was the circus that UK is there would be more media hoopla. Personally I like what we have going.
@JayHawkFanToo Look into a Zagg rugged keyboard. It works great, is very sturdy, and has a long battery life. The Keyboard isn't as big as a computers, but you'll adjust quickly. Personally I only fire up the computer on rare occasion now as the iPad does almost everything I need.

As I recall Frankamp was in line for big minutes. Self was talking small ball and Frankamp was going to be the first one off the bench. Frankamp just peed himself when he saw how good Devonte' was and bailed.
Did Crean get fired? If not I doubt he'd leave Indiana for Missouri. Seems like a huge step down.

As demonstrated over and over it requires much more effort to stay positve than be negative. Personally I try to stay as positive as possible as negativity is contagious and generally not very constructive. All doom and gloom all the time is lazy and counter productive if you want positive outcomes.

@wrwlumpy And KU is about .500 vs the spread. So who the heck knows?!? That's the one thing making me less optimistic than in '08, those guys always covered. Probably doesn't matter since I don't bet, but it's a trend FWIW.
