Todd Reesing was a better QB than Bean and he didn’t sniff the NFL. However Todd Heaps was much worse than both and had a cup of coffee in the league based on his HS ranking. If someone likes Bean they may take a flyer on him, but my team only has 6 draft picks this year and they had better not waste one on a backup quarterback!
KU’s Bean set a bowl record for the Big 12 - most touchdowns thrown in a bowl game at 6. Not OU with their high flying offense under Riley or Stoops. Not Texas and the million bowl games they’ve been too. Not the in state football “powerhouse” ksu. K freakin’ U has the record for passing touchdowns in a bowl game in the Big12.

You misunderstand me, I have no economic advice for you. I don’t care about your finances, (hopefully) good or (hopefully not) bad. I am trying to say your complaints the day after Christmas about a value added product, that is geared 100% for the Jayhawk faithful, that saves most people upwards of $50 a month by allowing the successful cutting of cable, is a little bit misplaced in the audience. I think it would play better for another fanbase that doesn’t get treated so well by the network. One that has to get ESPN+ just to watch their team play against KU or some other single game. Gabe Davis, Tee Higgins, Mike Evans…there are options in the offseason that I like. But for now the Chiefs are screwed if they can’t get any production out of MVS. Rice is doing well. I think Ritchie James could be a solid receiver now that he’s healthy. The rest are suspect at best.
CEH may have the best hands on the team - get him on the field as an escape valve more often and teach Mahomes to take it instead of big play hunting. 🤷♂️ I don’t know how to fix this mess this year.
@wissox Still less than going to a single game and about half what I used to pay for cable. The price of everything else is the problem, we are all severely suffering from the economic policies of the current administration. - my basic expenses are up over 18% this year after a dramatic increase last year. Biggest jump in expenses - fuel, food, taxes, health and homeowners insurance. That’s what you should be upset about in my opinion, but at ESPN+ is as good a place as any to vent your frustration I suppose.
I don’t know about can’t shoot the ball, but KU doesn’t have a shooter. That was supposed to be Timberlake (our Moss/Coleman guy).

@wissox How many pre-game and post-game shows does ESPN+ do for Kentucky or Duke? I can’t find any, but it’s there for all the KU games. I don’t understand why any KU fan would complain about spending about the same as a Starbucks coffee or a gallon of Biden’s gas or a movie ticket, to get KU basketball content for an entire month.
Veach does a lot of good, but he’s waited a lot of cap space too. - 20mil per year on Taylor. Yikes. Thuney is a huge cap hit at GUARD! MVS…any money is wasted there. There was an opportunity to have Hopkins on this team (or just retain the most dynamic receiver in football!!!). Spent all his cap with no receivers. Just not the best move, I expect they will rectify it this offseason.
Mahomes had a huge cap hit and won the sb last year. He’s not the issue, he’s the whole offense is the issue. - on days like today it shows in a bad way. Patrick had a bad day and the offense went from average to wretched.

THE FLORIDA STATE board of trustees voted unanimously Friday to file suit against the ACC to challenge the legality of the league's grant of rights and its $130 million withdrawal fee, a necessary first step to plot the school's future and potential exit from the conference.
All told, the university estimates the total exit fee, including the forfeiture of television revenue, would be $572 million.

What’s funny is this all could’ve been prevented if not for greed. If the PAC12 and SEC had not poached teams from the Big12, none of this would be going down. Poaching big12 teams has likely ended 2 other conferences!
All the 5 major conferences had to do was band together, pool the money for equal distribution and wield unlimited power over the NCAA while preserving all the last 100 years of conference history. - you could even ban games outside of the “power 5” conferences to insure the best product if you desire.
Football has limited games, but imagine playing all your conference teams once and another 9 common opponents from another conference? You could have different schedules with a “non-conference” portion that is different and imbalanced to equalize things - 1st place finishers all play the other conference winners and on down. Would make for excellent and more fair scheduling and games, but instead Missouri is in the SEC, UCLA is in the BIG10, the PAC12 is rapidly dying, the ACC is on life support, centuries long series have been broken. It’s crazy and all over greed that could be satisfied to a greater extent if they had worked together instead of poaching one another. 🤪

Definitely could be a trap game in the Christmas lul (asu comes to mind), but I don’t think this team tolerates losing. They seem to hate losing more than they love winning - a good thing in my book.
I’ve found it’s always better to give than receive. Once you fully embrace that basic principal you will have much happiness. Seeing the culmination of anticipation and thoughtfulness intersect is a blast (even when it’s a spectacular failure). It’s the little things that matter - eye contact when speaking to a cashier, telling the delivery man thanks, being kind to the overworked postal carrier, being understanding when things take longer than expected - these things all make the other person feel better, but it really makes you feel better too. The Golden Rule isn’t for others, it’s for your own wellbeing I’ve found.
