Strange lyrically - stepping out on your spouse and ending up rekindling, but that wasnāt the goal. Catchy tune though.

@dylans I doubt you could afford me anyways.
Let me guess. Iām assuming youāre fairly young - less than 35 and recently married. You switched jobs a few years back, which implies youāre not a legacy so name recognition is out for pay bumps. Also you had to switch jobs to get a pay raise so youāre not at the top of the pay scale. Average accountant salaries are about 55k, I assume youāre good at your job and earn 6 figures. You work for someone; not self employed , but that caps Income. Your moniker implies you may be in the KC Kansas area, if so less than 8% of households make 200k per year. Given your stance on overcoming adversity I figure youād last until it got hot in July at best. 3-4 months pay at 16k per month I can handle. But youād have to be in the top 5% performance wise to command that level of pay. Let me know if youāre interested and qualified.
UConn is good, but they donāt do much for me. Not a game Iām really interested in. Really the only game of mass appeal would be the KU v UK game. The rest if I wasnāt a KU fan would be marginal games at best. Iām curious how a non-KU fan would see it, maybe I underestimate the draw of KU to non-fans.
For KC area KU fans Iād guess the KU v MU game would be the mountain top.
The new conference teams kinda water things down from this fanās perspective. I have no feelings either way about byu, Houston, cinci or rando Florida team. They definitely donāt get the competitive juices flowing - I would not like the scheduling if that was the non-con slate, but youāre stuck with the conference teams.
A Kansas Jayhawk victory āļø

AND tada the CHIEFSā¤ļø da Bears, not to good. Swiftie is real! Or is it Swifty?
Not a Taylor Swift fan, as her music is aimed at teenage girls, but that was a cute picture of Travis and Taylor cruising in his convertible after the game.

@nuleafjhawk I'm not so sure it's the name on their jersey so much as the fact that they beat ALABAMA. That's the main reason they are up so high IMO
Texas getting the SEC bump already. Jj Lol. They beat Alabama whoās right next to god (just ask) so Texas must be a top contender! Itās a lot like the rating bump teams get for beating KU menās basketball team. Texas is appropriately ranked for this week with these results so far.
Cake walk
@Kcmatt7 Kinda like how unfair it would be if Mahomes had Kelce and Hill at the same timeā¦

If anyone of you were in position for a huge promotion that you felt you had worked hard for and the company went with an outside hire instead you'd be updating your resume and you know it. I guarantee you wouldn't be like "you know what, just a little bit of adversity I need to overcome."
I really don't blame Udeh at all. The reality is that there were going to be 10 minutes to compete for at KU (potentially for two years). Or 25-30 somewhere else. I do agree it is unfortunate he stayed in conference because we know what he could become. Everyone is only mad because he's got the potential to be really, really good lol.
The transfer portal is a huge reason that KU Football is where it is at today. Do we think our transfers are a big bunch of wusses who ran away from adversity? Or did they not feel like their previous school was giving them the best opportunity to showcase their talents? Why would we want Gage Keys or Craig Young? Total losers who ran away from adversity. /s
Not sure about your company, but mine did hire new people every year in my position. - I outworked them all and run the company now. You have stated time and again you do not like adversity to overcome. Switch jobs when it gets hard - ākeeping you nose to the grindstone is a republican lieā KCMatt. I would not hire you, but I understand where you come from.

The F-35s flew over my house earlier this afternoon. Anyone going to the game is going to get a real treat pre-game. Rattled the crap out of my windows and scared the bejeezus out of my dog.
Letās hope they figured out how to land those bad boys!
@dylans Daniels threw for over 500 in that game, not sure about the QB getting hurt. Of course most of us thought he should have been the guy to keep the game going instead of Bean on the last play.
If Liepold pulled a healthy JD for a crappy Bean jump pass to end that game heās a terrible coach. Bean is barely passable as a backup. I really though JD was injured, but if what you say is correct⦠lol @KU football. What a joke.
Edit - The more I think about this the more disgusted I get. You mean to tell me Lance had a healthy Daniels and threw Bean out there for that silly, ill conceived play?!?
@nuleafjhawk QB got hurt. Keep JD upright if you want to have a good season. Shades of Sparky. Program goes as the QB goes. First good QB on the roster since 2008.
Unless you count Jake Heaps. Lol
WR yes. TE no.
/but Kittle can block/ smdh
@MR11 That irritates me about Udeh. I guess the proposition of having to earn minutes ran him off. And if that little bit of adversity was all it took to run him off, I massively misread the guy (thus the irritation at myself). I genuinely thought he would be a player you could build a team around by his Jr. year. If Hunter is really all it took to run him off, I doubt he reaches the potential I thought he had. -maybe thatās just my bad talent evaluation, but I really though Udeh was going to be great.
Add UNC to conference on a home and home yearly basis and youāll add this butt to the stands!
@wissox FWIW #1 pre-season ranking by every reputable ranking system -according to the last espn article I read.
I think many of us were less than impressed with this decision from day one. Too troubled. I appreciate wanting to help people, but hedge your bet.

The Chiefs defense looked solid today bending and not breaking. Not sure if Kelce is dating Swift or not but his attitude is in the gutter. Good news for KC fans is the west looks like hot garbage and they should still take the division.
Karma? Playing football in summer can be cruel. Heās trying to shake off an injury. Maybe there is some bad blood? Donāt blame me, I knew he was trouble.
@Crimsonorblue22 74/Taylor was a jaguar last year. 20 million a year for that performance. Yowza
The floor on the dorm I lived in (McCullum) was co-ed. GSP (girls state prison as they called it) was girls only and fairly strict. I have no idea what McCarthey is, but no dorm can be basketball players only. There must be a minimum % of non-athletes that can live there as well.
@Crimsonorblue22 Wish they had a receiver.
@nuleafjhawk Itās KU football, any win is a good win! Years of sucking hind tit makes this seem much better than it is.
Too late for me - the score isnāt encouraging. Where there some bright points? Reading the comments it sounds like the run game was good.
2nd chances are necessary- everyone makes mistakes to some degree. Third chances however are not for this level of stupidity. The only way I see him back on the team is if heās proven innocent - not witness intimidation or buy offs. Flat out innocence. But thatās applying my morals to a situation that the staff felt differently about initially as well.
@kjayhawks - unless KU is playing I have never watched a single KSU game. I leave the room if others have the game on. Itās like watching paint dry boring af.
Deion is interesting. Turned that roster over in a year. Heās also brash and many want to watch him fail. Hate watching is real too. I hope he does well, itās good for the future big12.
Ehh. Tyreek is a piece of shit. Wish he was more of an exception is more my point. Football doesnāt attract the best people. Rosters are huge - some are good people, too many arenāt.
@kjayhawks Because of the fake KC Star story about his kid? Or because of that ex of his that was trying to entrap him for money? Ehh maybe for another poor decision down the road, but most of his recent problems have been fabricated. Heās no saint, but I doubt heāll get into that much trouble.
Football players as a general rule attract aggressive people, so it never surprises me when one gets in a little trouble with the law. - Hard to overcome the football player-rapist stigma.
PAC worst football conference the last few years. No one watches their super late games - makes it hard to recruit or stir national interest. Youād think they would be under ranked and roll in bowl games with the lack of exposure.
@mayjay Not thrilled about restructuring Thuneyās enormous contract (the contract that I feel is 70% of the reason for tyreek Hillās departure). Like the player. Donāt like that much of the cap tied up in a guard.
@AsadZ Katz schmucks messed Chris around.
@mayjay Not this years cap. Thatās correct.
I wonder how that all works? Chiefs were tight against the cap before Chris got a raise.
@BShark Is Flagg a silent commit? (Or did I miss something?) Late Night visit scares a recruit away? Seems a bit pessimistic if he actually wanted to be a Jayhawk. Iāll just chop it up to a recruiting loss. No malcontents!
So Bethea visits Miami and cancels his future visits, then says he has made a decision. Not super encouraging, but maybeā¦just maybeā¦.that trip to Miami was a vacation.
@nuleafjhawk Andy Reidās pre-season camp at St Joes is notoriously difficult. Itās not lack of preparation. - preseason games have fringe guys flying around trying to make a roster. Iām fine with the way it went down. Toney had knee surgery after getting injured the first day of training camp. He will improve. Skyy Moore Iām concerned about. - Veach needs to figure out how to draft a quality WR quickly.
So far, so great!
@nuleafjhawk no I thought it was a bad decision. So is taking the ball out of Mahomes hands on 3rd down.
@wissox I was really looking forward to watching our twin tower sophomores develop. Zuby and Udeh wouldāve been fierce juniors! (No sr season after winning the championship and jumping to the pros a year early) lol
@AsadZ He should not have been on the field, but timing doesnāt have much to do with (3) drops. Just a horrid game. Iām not mad a Veach for the 3rd and 6th round picks, what Toney did in the SB was worth the picks alone.
Ehh. With Kelce actually making catches itās a blow out. Hardly a reason to panic, but thatās the norm on chat rooms. - aaaah first series went poorly the season is over, fire the coaches, the gm stinks, the wr should be burned at the stake, etc.
WR corps is wretched. Toney is not game ready. Riceās hands are stone like, but not at bad as Toneyās!!!
@wissox š
@wissox Losing the draft too, I see.
Right region, wrong part.
Sounds like he limped off the field - a positive sign. Early in the season and the wr are unproven, this will be a great opportunity for someone to earn Mahomes trust.
No malcontents!
8 - you brought up disappointment and KU football in the same sentence as if you have reasonable expectations of success. Love it. Lance has done a great job building the hype around the program. They appear to be on the right track, but itās a long ways to go. - the main reason very few where here during the game, itās a basketball forum.
Witt jr only needs 3 more hr for a 30/30 season.
Edit - 2 hrs to go
