a lot of people - - the recruiting guru's and such seem to say that it is a presumed notion that Billy is a OAD. - -A lot of just John Q Public also seem to believe he is a OAD - -I think Coach Self has kind of recruited with the idea that Billy stood a good chance of being a OAD, and at this point if he is out for the reminder of the season - - good chance we won't ever see him step on the floor and play again.

Guys listening between ball games and they have these 3 talking about different things, and they bring up the OAD'S - and they all agree they think players should be allowed to go to the NBA at anytime - getting away from the OAD'S saying if these kids don't want to play in college forcing them to come isn't the answer. - They want to go - let them go

Well I went back and made notes from the seasons gams and stats & two things really jump out to a huge issue for this joke of a season.

They were # 1: - - Points off turnovers , Ku was outscored off points off turnovers 15-117 - we got 15 points off turnovers - -holy crap., - But that goes in hand with turnover ratio - - KU forced NINE - -nine turnovers the entire year - -we committed 26 - -so the ratio 9-26 - -speaks volumes.

I was actually surprised - we had 21 sacks on the year- -BUT we gave up 29 sacks.

We had 5 int's and only 4 fumble recoveries, there is a really good starting point for this season that just plain sucked.

Actually Rushing defense for KU was ok - in 9 out of the 12 games:
Southeast Missouri St ( 94 ) - - -Central Michigan ( 123 ) - - -Ohio ( 196 )- - - Iowa State ( 106 ) - - -TCU ( 191 )- - - Baylor ( 120 ) - - -Texas ( 113 ) - - -Oklahoma ( 157 ) - -& Oklahoma State ( 167 )

Now I realize that their passing may have help the rush defense some - BUT Southeast Missouri had ( 170 ) passing - - -Ohio ( 254 )- - - Iowa State ( 212 ) TCU ( 284 ) - - so those games was average anyways - -BUT again turnovers, turnovers, turnovers just killed us. AND plus we had a punter that shanked 1/2 of his punts were the opposition had really short fields to work against. - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

WOW, just when you think you have seen it all, then something totally bizarre jumps up and grabs you. - -you have to check this out of the ESPN site.

Alabama and Minnesota. playing in the Barclays Classic : Now you have to be sittin for this , Alabama finished the balled game playing 3-5 - -only 3 Alabama players on the floor going against Minnesota 5. All happened after the entire Alabama bench got ejected - -THE ENTIRE BENCH for coming onto the floor in an exchange of words between Sexton and Minnesota player.

Alabama player the final 10:41 seconds of the 2nd half with 3 players: - Colin Sexton , Galen Smith ,& Riley Norris - -the final 10:41 of the 2nd HALF ! ! !

Alabama was only down 83-80 with 1:32 to go in the game - ended up losing 89-84 - -can you believe this - -Sexton ended up with 38. - -you guys HAVE GOT TO check this out off the ESPN site - - -just totally bizarre. - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

Some this and that , Stats to throw out for you interest : - - KU avg 94.2 ppg , - - -53.1 fg% - - - 43 % - 3pt - - 69.6 ft % - -42,4 rpg - -for a plus 8 on the boards - -20.8 assists per game - - 10 steals per game & 6.6 bpg - - -those 10 steals per and ^.6Blocks are pretty sweet.

Now -for all you fence riders lmao - -just kidding now don't go and get your drawers all in a bunch - -BUT if you wnna hop on Mitch's train - -time to climb aboard - - - WOO - WOO - -all aboard. LOl.

Every School recruits to a need. - Do you know, or anyone know just exactly what the recruiting pitch to Mitch was when being recruited? You recruit for starters and you recruit for quality reserves backups. - Do you seriously believe Mitch thought he was coming in here to start from day one? - -Come on he is not stupid.

I guess the real question here becomes - -in who eye's does Mitch define as being " Good" - -your eyes/ my eyes - or anybody else's eyes -OR " Good" in Coach Self's eye's?. - I think now I don't know but just get a feel that I probably would have a tendency to lean a little more on the side of what Coach Self and staff think about Mitch and his level of play then your's /mine or anyone else - think that's part of the reason they get paid - in their ability to evaluate talent.

Nobody that I know of is trying to Make Mitch the 2nd coming in talent or any thing close to that, BUT I know this you don't get a offer from a power 5 school to come be a part of a team if the Coach & staff don't believe your good enough to be here and contribute. - As we all know and coach has said over and over repeatedly He will not just offer somebody or bring someone one board just to fill a roster. Ya I think I'll stick a little more on the side of what Coach thinks about Mitch then others. - Nobody saying he is as talented or that he deserves major minutes. I know mitch is just happy to be a part of this program and willing to do whatever and when ever he is called upon - -whether it's 3 minutes - -10 minutes - -15 whatever. - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

@HighEliteMajor I think you accidentally misstated they were not " Good " players - -if they weren't " Good " players Coach Self wouldn't of recruited them in the first place. You can be a good player and still not have the talent/skill level of others on your team , to say they aren't good players is a little over the left field fence.

Now with a full scaled roster, would Mitch be seeing the minutes he is seeing now - -umm NO, doesn't mean he isn't good. - -He is a player that can come in relieve Doke - -De-souse if and when he gets here for some spot minutes. Mitch isn't gonna do the flashy things your looking for. Does he get beat on defense , ya - -does Vick - -Does Devonte - -Does Doke - ya, there is not a single player that doesn't get beat sometimes - - Mitch a little more, one thing Mitch doe is the dirty non flashy work always gives 100 %

@JayHawkFanToo understand, but there can be all kinds of reasons for the over weight. - the Number one being -over active thyroid a very strong possibility, my mom had that and was really overweight. - They can't help that if that's the case, I'm sure Coach Mangino was fully aware of it being bad for him health wise.
