I have read many articles about Kansas this week. Not sure how you have missed them. CBS Sports, The Athletic, NYT, AND ESPN have all had features.

For those of you determined to feel underrespected and unappreciated, The Athletic's panel of 11 alleged "experts" had most picking KU against Villanova (8 of 11), all 11 picking Duke over UNC, and KU tied with Duke (5-5) for the Championship (1 person picked Villanova).

We have just to take tempo. - -With Villanova playing at a snails pace if you get behind , the harder it is to come back. More pressure it feels like you have to score every time down. Villanova wants to limit possessions. We know they gonna have a chip, hearing everybody say their chances are diminished/slim with the loss of Moore. - Got to be care not allow them to come out hotter then a 2 dollar pistol - - got to run them off the 3 point line. - -tough defense. - -Can NOT just CAN NOT go for head fakes they will do that i-2 times per possession, have to stay on our feet make them beat you on defense, don't give them easy outs.

Jalen has to show - - Oach has to show , Christian has to show -Let's do this

The "experts" think Kansas can win it all and one article titled something like anonymous observations from opposing coaches said that KU is as talented as any team this year. Then one coach said we have seen Kansas win 32 games by playing really well during parts of games but we have not seen Kansas play a complete game at their best. Truth and we have seen the same thing about the team. We come out flat and trail at the half making it harder to win or we come out blazing and get to 20 points very quickly and then go five minutes scoreless. We let some teams hang with us as a result.
The bottom line was if KU plays at their best for an entire game we will beat them all.

We can'tafford to come out flat against Villanova and try to play catch up & and let them control temple , got to try and contain Gillispie posting up down low -we got to run them off the 3 pt line. Defense has just been getting better and better. - They had a stat on it this morning Starting around the 1st of March we were in the 30's according to kenpom now I think they said w are 18th. -- Got to have asolid game

Don't really know where to put this little snipit but WIBW TV if you can get it Channel 13 locally is having a special tonight after the 6:00 New is on a 6:30 about Ku and the tourney. - -just throwing it out guys for FYI

Jarred Sutton I believe his name was on WHB 810 this morning and they were talking about Oachai - -And he was saying absolute lock 1st round -- talked about which kind of suprised me talking about how good he is defensively. Many , many good things about Oach

Grady with terrible game like 1-9 from the field-- 5 points 2shots getting blocked and believe 3 turnovers. in the Geico tourney. Prolific Prep the team Mj Rice plays on although didn't play in this him and another of their studs out cause of injury. - - Tre White I think we recruited him some didn't we ? - -played huge role for Prolific and Mark Pope. - White pin point pass with like 4 seconds to go kid hits a three from the corner Prolific wins 59-56 to advance.

Scottie Middleton had sweet game for Sunrise , I think we are recruiting him too I think Brady just no clean looks at all. Mark Mitchell had good game but came up short ,Sunrise is the # 1 team in the Natin and they are out.

Talked about according to Ken Pom - -KU is ranked 7th and defensively 18 th - 61st in tempo - talking about how balanced KU is, - One note they brought up was on Remy saying the last time they played Remy he was held to 5 points , - - talking about how gonna have to be really big defensive assignment against Remy - - They think Slater will guard Oachi - -talking about how it's a difficult match up against KU noting KU having really long really big wings.

They predicted that Villanova will probably have to have 37 plus minutes out of 4 players, they also think they will take Dave out of the game - They think Dixon will have a big game - - they think Gillispie will have a big game taking advantage of match up against Juan OR Remy posting up low thinking Gillispie will go off - -they said they think you will see Gillispie hit the shot with under 3 minutes to go

Another thing that they think which is huge in the game. -- Villanova in the tourney is shooting 90 % from the free throw line - -KU - - 67 % - -they said they keep KU under 70 -- - they win.- - -- They said they FOR SURE have to control tempo - saying you will see a ot of 5 and under shots probably will run tempo slow as ever Villanova wants to limit possessions - -Talking about how they are rally gonna miss more defensively then anything else

How do we beat nova?
Wright will slow us down defensively stopping our stuff like he does when he has time to prepare. They will show us something new defensively.
We don’t guard the three we guard inside out just like we play. Teams always shoot the 3 well against us Nova will be no different we can easily lose this game.

If we get past Nova it’s Duke and we lose by 8-10 as it will be like 2012 KU where we were just overmatched by UK nothing we can do the boys overachieved and had a fantastic season - proud as we can be.
We will start the game throwing it into Dave who is awful against height and 7-1 Williams will completely shut him down.

How we win?
Wilson makes Banchero go 2/13 and pulls a Svi on Bagley type game
Ochai, Braun and Remy average 18-20 a piece and we shoot lights out

Duke is playing their best and has a top 3 draft pick who’s Jalen on steroids and a footer we wish we had. We gotta play perfect to win and flat out hope they miss shots

ActuallyKU is defending the 3 really well. - The stats show KU is 18th in the Nation at defending the 3 since the I think they said the 1st of March and even better defending inside the arc - yet we still gonna have to run them off the line as they get 46.1 % of their offense from the 3 and average 26 attempts per

When Kendall committed to Baylor I thought it was a big deal. However after watching his season at Baylor and now him leaving I think we did fine not landing him. Good for him he's getting to the league after a year. But we good

I agree from watching this yr I just WASN'T that impressed with him. I dunno seemed to lack aggressiveness could be being a freshman deferring to upper but just thought he would be more assertive

Just browsing and ran across some things some stats. Pretty easy to see what needs to be done. Obvious we are going to have to defend and defend well the 3 pt line, it shows that Villanova's offense largely comes from the 3 pt - - 46.1 of Villanova's total fg comes from the 3. - - They averaging putting up right at 26 - - -3 pt shots per game and they shoot at a 35 % clip. - They DON'T however do that well inside the arc. Inside the Arc Villanova ranks 171st in the Nation shooting % A plus for KU is that KU it states defends the 3 pretty decent hold teams to 29.6 % which is good for 18th in the Nation. - -Of Course Gillespie is their main shooting and hits very well 40.9 from the 3.

Villanova very experienced - they have 3 fifth yr Seniors starting and a Red shirt Soph. - -Balanced Scoring - -15.6 - - 11.1 - - 10.2 - - -& 10.2. - - -Not real strong on the boards at 35 per and not that big but play bigger then their size

Oh ONE other thing - - - Every time KU and Villanova has played one another in this tournament - - -the winner of this game has went on to win the National Title. - - GO HAWKS

Yeah I wasn't focused on the score as much as other things. Udeh's defense is ahead of his offense but that's fine. Early on his role isn't going to be like Dave or Doke's were as upperclassmen. But I was impressed with how big he is compared to the others on the court & how he ran the court. He looked like a great fit for Self to mold over the coming years.

Dick didn't stand out in a game where his team was pretty awful. Guys just hunting shots and doing whatever they wanted to. Once he passed it to someone it never came back his way. The East guys seemed to take their defense a lot more serious. I loved Gradey's size, handles, passing & he's a tremendous fit for this team next year. He's going to play a lot.

Have to agree with your assessment. - - Udeh is a big solid guy , ran pretty well - -and like you said and which is true in so many of these games - Dick passed to someone and that was it - -you could forget about them moving the ball back around it was pass & SHOOT. The East did at least play some defense that's for sure , sounds like we both pretty much had the same take

Hey Farmer did you happen to catch any of Coach Lleipolds interview was about 21 minutes. Had to come away very impressed again. One thing that I liked was he was asked about one thing that might has stuck out to him this spring. - - He said the teams confidence in the defense - -how they are playing a lot more confidence in their decisions - - a lot more aggressive- - the guy is just sharp . Really glad we got him

Does Anyone know when then the team departs for New Orleans ? - -would like to see them off from Forbes

@BeddieKU23 it's hard to really take a lot out of this game anymore. - - lot of easy break away dunks a lot of just who has the ball do your thing, & I realize in a all star game like that - -that's just the way it is. One thing I did notice though looked like Udeh bunch was a little more organized like defensively - -Grady's group at times looked confuse - -not interested on the defensive end and looked lost on the offensive end when they actually tried to get in a set.

I noticed Udeh free throw too -- Doke Part 2. - -I ended up shutting it off a little bit into the 3rd quarter just hard to keep interest anymore in these things

As I mentioned in an earlier post... we seem to catch every break in this tourney.

It is perfect that the UNC/DUKE game is built up so high. This will be the real championship for these teams. Ha... then they have to turn right around and play us on Monday! (hopefully us) Perfect time for us to come on strong... the only #1 seed left... the sleeper team!

And let's say we win it all. Imagine the egg on the faces of left coast media when they have to deal with a non-ACC champion? After all that hoopla?!

Let's get this straight.... this is OURS for the grabbing! We deserved this two years ago and didn't get the chance to get it. Just a little bit more of our chip moving forward. All that said... we don't just deserve this. We have to earn it!

100 % agre EVERYTHING falling into place. Kind of like Danny and the Miracles run. All the upper seeds getting knocked out before Danny and the boys would of had to play them - - -playing certain teams for a third time and beating them.

I agree pace is a big factor with the Moore injury. I think it was anyway. Nova just grinds, plays slow and that's how they have managed to get this far with basically 6 guys. If we could punch them in the mouth early with pace it will be tough sledding for them to come back.

The biggest key I see Saturday will be points in the paint. Dixon is their only big, they do not have a sub for him. Samuels is like Wilson in that he plays inside out. Dave, Jalen, Mitch. The advantage is use them enough to open the wings to driving to the basket. Pound the paint again on this nova team. No shot blockers, poor rebounding team at both ends.
