Come on people eve time a new head Coaching job comes open and Leipold name comes up it's automatic - - Lance is gone. This is why people don't like interacting with you here. You don't add anything new or constructive to conversations, it's almost always something negative about Dejuan. We all know his shortcomings as a player and choose not to harp on them in nearly every post like you.

How about instead of blaming Self for trying to make Elmarko work a position and role that he's not used to playing, we look at why Self decided that Arterio Morris ended up being his choice for a 2 instead of some of the other options that were reportedly interested in coming here that didn't have the legal baggage Morris had. That's where the real failure of this roster lies, not with Dejuan Harris being the same player he's been his entire career here.

You know we have some here that think El Marko should take away Juan more of his minutes, now for relief possibly but to start Jackson over Juan where I have seen that stated or to take a lot of his minutes just don't validate that theory. Y^es I can see spot tie to give Juan a break sure, but other then that your just whacked.

If you think Juan is going too be some scoring machine , then your just flat wrong , never has been , never will be , Juan is just not that type of player. He is much more defensive and assist type. He can score , he has proven that, but he is assist first.

Now for Juan - - El Marko comparison it's not close , Juan shoots better fg % then Jackson , he is much better assists ( big 12 assist leader at 7.1 ) then Jackson , better 3 point shooter then Jackson not even close , Juan is the 2nd best 3 point shooter on the team at 44 % ) Juan is a better rebounder then Jackson, Juan has a better steal rate then Jackson -- -as far as saying Juan doesn't shoot the ball enough - - Juan has attempted the 2nd most three point attempts only behind Kevin. - -The only thing Jakson is better at is free throw % - -& not turning the ball over as much.

Juan is just not that type of PG, Juan is a more typical run the offense first , get others who are in a better position to score first pg his assists ration points that out. Juan has hit some key shots for us in clutch time, huge shots, maybe we for got those.-- -Yet to think you would rather play Jackson more over Juan ?- -that just make sense , you talking about not shooting enough , not scoring enough umm Hello - Jackson didn't even attempt a shot for two games - El Marko is not the answer over Juan, Jackson would not be a huge improvement by taking Juans minutes production wise. Jackson isn't s a good of a defender - -With Juan you have a proven experienced leader on the floor .Sure his floater is struggling right now that's very true but I'll take Juan over Jackson hands down , in a heart beat any time , any day , anywhere

Ladies with a big win , down by 11 , Jackson in foul trouble only played 4 plus minute in the first half. - - Huge 4th qtr I think at one point KU had outscored OSU 24 -10 - -makes KU 2-3 in league- -Oklahoma St fell to 3-2 -- Nichols 17 pints & Kersgeiter with 16 really good come back Nice job Ladies -A Jay Hawk sweep this weekend

I am another one that needs to apologize, mostly right during game time my crimson & blue blood get flowing-- and gets boiling when things don't work out. I get out of hand making some posts probably don't need to be said. I mean it's not like the guys woke up on a game day morning and said to themselves - - - -Self let's go out and really play a horrible game today.

There are factors to consider , # 1 like has been stated before , sure it seems obvious to us but this is why they play the game, roll the ball out and say let's go, you just never know. I mean sure we all thought this was a given , we were suppose to win and win big. I think there are people here me included that this game should be easier, and I think whether people want to admit or not it's ok I think a lot of people were basing this of what our little friends in Manhattan had done against this same group. When things got bad then we lashed out -- was it legit ? or frustration ? as KU fans logically or not we NEVER want KU to lose, this just doesn't happen very often and we have gotten spoiled , and spoiled rotten by the winning , and yet like I said there were things to consider, UCF had just gotten their butts kicked the game before , it was a road game for us and we all know how hard it is to win on the road in the Big 12 , then we have the IT'S THE KU FACTOR going against us, we are everybody's GAME OF THE YEAR going against us. This just shows even the best can take it on the chin once and a while.

Just remember guys these guys do try, maybe not as good sometimes , but they aren't trying to lose, a lot of things go into a game, bad calls , on the road , being KU , the opponent looking bad the game before , playing a constantly high ranked team, and you just never know from game to game, Having said all of this I will say this ONE THING we have just got to take care of the ball better.

Again I apologize even in advance for todays game, I'll admit I just get to wrapped up game days and if it turns bad - -I act like an idiot some times, so on to today's and let's do this -- -ROCK CHALK

I think this is a vey obvious choice. I think Coach didn't want to yank Marko to fast, giving him every opportunity he could to get things straightened out. -- Now we are in Conference play, Coach realizes there comes a time you do what you got to do if he is not showing signs of improvement, these last two games for sure have been bad for Jackson, he has just looked baad.

I like the switch, Johnny ha shown the ability or non fear factor to at least make the attempt to score the ball which he can do and has shown he can , gets some rebounds, and I think it very well could help El Marko in the end run. Who knows maybe he won't feel as much pressure of starting at this point. Maybe him backing Juan can help ease him in a little bettr, just think this is a move tht makes a lot of sense- -gives us a solid starting five.- -Johnny is just scratching his surface, think he can be really good for us in time

Haven't read that comment but to bench Juan for El Marko ?- - what the hell they smoking ? -Why do they not understand there is a reason Furphy is taking El Marko's place in the starting rotation, it sure the hell isn't som Jackson can take Juans spot at PG holy cow.

The team actually has under achieved this Season, with the Ladies they had coming back all Super Seniors and winning the Womens NIT last year plus some very quality Ladies they had coming in Coach hasn't done the best job. Last night we saw what they are capable of and should of been doing. - There is no way this team should be 8-7 and 1-3 in Big 12 play.

Hey, you guys ought to check out the JayHawker Podcast with Greg Gurley & Wayne Simeon had their guest and was Drew Gooden. Very enlightening easy on the ears. Was nice to hear them talk about some things, Drew is just such a seems like such a laid back guy, talking about different things0 Forty One minute podcast. He is going to be at the g ame tonight against UCF as he lives in Florida now

Very entertaining Podcast. Couple of things they discussed was informative they were talking about : - -One was they were saying that KU needed to get that California pipeline going again and talking about some of the past players that came from California to play at KU. Then they was trying to figure the last player that came from there anyone know ? - -They came up with it was Omar Wilkes lol.

Another thing that was mentioned Greg ask Drew about NIL and how much he thought he would get if he was there now and his thoughts on the NIL, and they got to talking about and THIS just shows how stupid I am cause I had no idea they got this BUT they were talking about how excited that when like Wayne & Greg & Drew played how excited when they got when they got their 392.00 dollar Scholarship money. I had NO IDEA they got any kind of money being on a full athletic ride. - -goes to show how much I know.

Thing is on top of this is, Every game we play from now on or more are going to be Quad 1 opportunity just goes to show how tough this league is. True TCU was un ranked also , but the question is,, should they be. I can see discussion s to why they should be ranked. That's a pretty feisty solid club. Now with Houston & Purdue losing do we deserve to be back at # 1 again if we win our games this week?- -- Maybe , Maybe be not. Thing is really the only ranking that means squat is the final when a team wins the National Championship - -that's what the players play for and Coach's Coach for , the rest is just for fans to thump their chest.- -We might as well have the # 1 ranking if we win , someone has to take it.
