Why do we want Bryce Aiken again? He's 6'0'' and doesn't play defense. He averages more turnovers than assists and doesn't rebound. Career 34.7% from 3. He's Charlie Moore with slightly better shooting and worse passing and rebounding.

Carton and Bruner seem decent but I don't think either guy moves the needle that much for us.

Ya, I'm not buying that his assists are going to go up just because he's surrounded by better players. Charlie Moore's assist percentage at Cal (27.4) went way down when he came to Kansas (16.0) and then shot back up again when he transferred to DePaul (34.3). His assists might go up, but it's not a given.

He might be an elite shooter, he's not an elite scorer. His career average is 16.8 points with 40.6/34.7/85.3 shooting splits. Nobody who barely eclipses 40% shooting from the field in the ivy league is going to be an elite scorer in the B12. In his best season, he averaged 22.2 points with 43.4/39.8/85.5 shooting splits, and he attempted more than 15 field goals per game. That 39.8% from 3 is the best-case scenario, and he won't get near the volume on Kansas that he did on Harvard.

So a guy whose only value to us would be shooting 3-pointers, might shoot 39.8% on low-volume while not doing much else and being a liability on defense. I think that ends up being a net negative for us. Like why even bother? Let's just play the guys we have now. We have good players. If you want to give Aiken the 0 mpg that we were going to give Jossell next season then that's fine I gues

Well not sure but I think I could live with THAT 16.8 ppg for sure - that's good enough for me for sure - -don't give a rats ass about how ELITE that is - -don't need ELITE got enough others to help with that. - - 39.8 from 3 works fine - just like Moss right at same range - since the moved the line back, your not finding a lot of players shooting a hell of a lot better for sure respectable enough to keep the defense honest. - I and I think quite a few others would be more then happy to take him. - - ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

they was talking with a Doctor this morning and finding that the cases in Italy was different then China, saying that yes it was effecting younger. - -Did a breakdown of numbers , and said there is a fairly decent amount of cases between the ages of 20-54 years of age, that are in hospitals amd on ventilators equaling 29 % of the cases. - Yet while there is these numbers they ARE saying the mortality rate is a lot better only about 1 % fatilities with this age range. - -

Yeah, doesn’t hurt a thing to imagine! He’s still not a great shooter or passer. I don’t know if he can really do a lot else to improve in college but I think his choice is go cash checks or be an all time great in college. I don’t know for sure what he’ll do but it’s a harder choice now than a couple weeks ago.

Ok so here is the question, seen this tossed around a little. - How seriously does anyone think Hut would consider transferring to KU ?

Didn't pay it a lot of thought , did my typical trolling of other boards checking out different aticles. Of course the best was the UK board. - -A lot of talk. One poster said he probably shouldn't say anything but HE KNEW why Hurt WAS transferring out. - -And of Course got pounded people asking him why?

His answer was it was all in some leaked video/audio something to that effect, Hurt said that he didn't feel he had been treated right. - -Has taken his Duke profile pic down I guess. A lot of UK fans saying that they thought that he would end up transferring to KU. I don't know just a lot of talk about him coming here, how KU was a heavy lean for him in the beginning and such. Someone had mentioned that he had talked to KU staff ( would that be tampering if KU had talked to him ) - again just asking I dunno.

There was some said he would be perfect fit for Gonzaga - - maybe Minnesota , but most talked more either KU or Gonzaga - then some said Gonzaga was loaded at the 4 - -KU would be looking for. a stretch 4 Kind of funny kind of went hand in hand with the way to early 2021 rankings.

Baylor 4th - - KU 8th an ( article saying KU would be looking around for a stretch 4, falls right in line for Hurt ) but he wouldn't be eligible next year right ? - - Texas Tech 15th & West Virginia 17th for 2021.

And @jayballer73 let’s try not to add any more fear to this situation. Giving voice and legs to stuff like you wrote above is how that stupid stuff starts happening. The grocery stores continue to be empty only because people keep posting pictures of empty grocery stores. We have a responsibility as citizens to maintain order ourselves and not devolve into chaos. It’s totally understandable to be scared but we can’t let that fear overtake reason and order. The more people discuss the scenario you mention above the more likely it is to happen. Things really taking off with this Virus in Kansas now. - - - Johnson County now has like 10 confirmed cases. - - - 17 presumtive positive cases here in Shawnee County and 50 others being monitered. - -Wynadotte County with I believe 5 positive cases now - - - Ford county - -Douglas County right there with ou boys, Douglas County has gotten it's 1st positive case - - -KEVIN DURANT has tested positive. - - ALL SCHOOLS DONE for the year -the entire the rest of the year.

Final 4 : - KU 73-66 over Michigan Dotson and Garrett combine for 32 & 8 assists- - -- Baylor loses to Michigan St 72-71

This is 3 times now I've been screwed out of seeing KU play in Houston. Damn you VCU (2011), Villanova (2016), and COVID-19 (2020)!!!

Looks like I'll have to wait until 2023 for another shot at seeing KU play in Houston.

Next season would be interesting if KU were in the same position to decide where they'd want to play their regional at with Denver, Minneapolis, and Memphis all relatively close to KU. Denver is the furthest away, but there's a large KU alumni base in Denver. I think Denver is the third largest alumni base behind Chicago and Dallas that's outside the KC metro area and the state of Kansas.

I just hope people realize that we are about to get the full picture with widespread testing, rather than thinking that the virus has started spreading more rapidly.

We are heading for thousands of new cases on a daily basis once testing is widespread enough. To everyone on the board, try to make sure people around you don't freak out. Practice safe social distancing, so hopefully the number of serious cases (needing hospitalization and ventilators) stays manageable. We do not want to be in the situation they are in over in Italy, where they are having to make decisions about which patients need a ventilator the most, or which has the best chance to recover if using the ventilator.

@kubuckets Hadn't realized that the NCAA had suspended D-1 recruiting at least until April15th. - No on campus visits or no off Campus visits - -makes sense I guess with everything else getting suspended

It's good thing about flattening the curve - -thing is you have to have a starting point to know WHERE it is you need to flatten that curve. This is what's going to make it so much harder concerning homeless you have no idea where that curve is

To be clear, when officials talk about containment right now, it is not literally to stop the virus. The containment effort is to slow down the contagion and "flatten the curve" so as not to overwhelm the health care system with patients (See Italy right now).

People who get the virus will be infected indefinitely. They may recover from the virus, only to get sick again later.

Anyone who gets infected will likely need to keep their distance from the elderly and at-risk for the foreseeable future.

Sadly, I do not think the homeless population is going to be a "problem" because they are an 'at-risk' group already and are likely to succumb. Those who do survive will be a health issue, but really no more than Tom Hanks or a bus driver or basketball player or a politician who comes in contact with many other people every day.

Oh I disa agree they are going to be a very large problem the % of homeless that are infected, walking the streets they will be in such close contact HUGE PROBLEM , true they succumb your right but before that happens there can be major infection - -with them being an at risk group already as you say just makes it a much more dangerous situation with them

Well here is another thing with the virus. - -It has been said that some even a lot of people will have such a mild case, say they go in and get tested - they said that the test will come back negative ! ! ! - -and yet they ARE infected , just such a mild case it doesn't show, so their infected and can go out and spread the virus thinking they tested negative , what the hell do they do - - - they have to be tested a 2nd time ?
