Would love to be able to garden, BUT not in an area for that anymore. Miss it for sure when growing up my Mom and Dad we had huge gardens , and of course it was up to the kids to help keep it up.

We use to have LONG rows of pea's , Carrots , raddish , Onions , 10-15 hills of cucumbers ,5-6 hills of watermelon , cantaloupes, Potatoes Rows of sweet corn and at least 20 tomato plants ( Usually JetStar ) and those rows had to be weed less lol. Get buckets of water from the well every day and take like a 5 lb coffee can poke holes in the bottom and go down the rows and water everything.

I remember Dad taking spike Nails and sticking 2-3 around each tomato plant keeping those nasty tomato worms from getting on and eating the plant. Couldn't believe how that worked but it did. The zinc off the nail, the tomato worms hated that just stick those nails in the ground around the plant and Presto lol.

Soas how as I can't have a garden I actually found myself watching Boxing last night on ESPN. It has been sooooo long since I had watched that. Watch Meri Weather fighting Pacial where Mere Weather went to 48-0 and was only going to fight one more time and then call it quits. Believe it or not actually kind of enjoyed. - -Watching a lot more TV - -Been watching a lot this morning of Log Cabin living.

It's crazy all these people wanting Log cabins -- Beautiful Cabins - - - on the OUTSIDE lol. Most of them though on the inside NOTHING cabin about them, Sheetrock walls , Carpet - - THAT'S not log Cabin. - People spending like 835,0000 and such for that. If I want a Cabin which I would love it would be Cabin.- There were some Awesome Decks, wrap around - -HUGE bay windows, Massive fire places - - lofts - -Awesome Cabins other then sheet rock walls and carpet.. - -Don't get me wrong not all of them , a lot right by the mountains isolated , wilderness - - I love that.

As testing has ramped up here in Kansas this week, we have seen confirmed cases jump quickly. I had felt for a while that we were only scratching the surface of how widely spread the virus was. Now we are seeing a bit more of the iceberg.

for sure 182 ne cases day before yesterday - - and now 271 new cases yesterday. KDHE has said they now think we will see a pretty big jump from Western Kansas counties. We have already passed initial predictions for the state initially they KDHE had said we would probably hit about 2,000 cases well- - - -

According to KDHE, one staffer worked at the Forbes campus in Topeka, but has not been at work since April 15th.

The second staffer was from a field office in Ford County.

Both offices were closed Wednesday afternoon “out of an abundance of caution” so the facilities could be cleaned. They did not say how long those offices will be closed.

ya I know , and my Nephew works with that person at Forbes same office. so who knows we know that my Nephew was at least exposed to the virus from this person, whether he is a carrier or not who knows.

Takes like 6 days for incubation period, but my Nephew was working with the person before the 15th of April which means he would of been exposed. - -The doctor I talked to tonight said for sure to call KDHE and see what else if any to do.

I'm sure at this point they will just say to self quarantine, for one there is a shortage of test kits right now they are not going to test everyone - - unless we start showing symptoms then they might test

welp , just wonderful today. I swear sometimes you've head the phrase , if it wasn't for bad luck I wouldn't have any luck ?

So , my Nephew comes over to my house this afternoon , he works for KDHE he promptly tells me that they sent all employees home for the day because someone in a State agency had tested positive for the Corona virus. He said they were bringing in a crew to do through sanitizing . I Said so WHY ARE YOU HERE ? - -he said it wasn't his agency & they wouldn't tell them what agency it was, and they were supposed to call tomorrow to find out what time they was suppose to come back tomorrow or IF they were suppose to come back.

Soo since then have found out that the person that has tested positive for the Corona WAS from his agency out at Forbes. - - - GREAT.

So my wife and I could of very well could of been exposed to the virus this afternoon. So I called my Doctor on Call this evening and she said that my wife and I both should self quarantine and I have to call KDHE in the morning to see if I need to do anything , as we both have under lying health conditions as most of you know.

Now this could very easily be nothing , I mean we ALL just found this out this afternoon, of course there would be no way if he knows he has anything as HE just found this out too, and have heard it can take 5-6 days before showing any symptoms, and on top of that a lot of cases are so mild a person never even knows they have it but yet they can be a carrier and expose others.

I really think at this minute they will probably just say self quarantine cause we are obviously not showing anything yet, and probably just tell us to be aware of any possible symptoms . The fever - - shortness of breath - - Cough -- body aches. - It just really worries me about the wife. IF she were to catch it, it would not be good with her lungs about shot and severe COPD, they have already told her if that happened it would more likely then not automatic Ventilator.

Will know more in the morning my friends , please keep your fingers crossed for us , and if your inclined please throw in that extra prayer for my wife and myself would ya please. And as always - - -ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

He has gotten blown by his entire College Career. The only saving grace with that I've been almost stunned with his recovery time. I don't know how many times I have seen Mitch get burned on the defensive end and yet still been able to recover and block his players shot.

Now it's going to be harder this coming year then the one that just past cause if he would of played he could of been more aggressive on the defensive end cause if he got beat - - - you had Doke back to reinforce - that's not going to be the case this year

Yes Braun made us a better team this year , and yes Braun is going to be a very quality 4 year player for us. - -However having said that , a much as I like Braun and am very happy he probably isa4 year player. IF I had to choose between Braun & Stanley I would take Cassius in a New York Minute - - hands down

Stanley just a much better Athlete all around. Better Scorer ,Better rebounder , I'd say no glaring difference defensively , neither one plays that great of defense - -ok defense maybe, BUT great or really good? - -Na.

Look at it also like this if the game was on the line and Stanley and Braun were your choices to take THAT shot at Crunch time who would you rather have taking that shot? It's not a knock on Braun , it's just what it is - - - better athlete. Christian is a solid competitor But my money has to roll with Stanley.

Another thing as far as better, What is a major factor the NBA drafts on ? - - Answer , they put a lot into potential. So who do you think has the better NBA potential at this point? - -Who has the better chance of landing a roster spot at this point Cassius? - - or Christian.

Now in 4 years ?hmmmm Maybe - -doubt it but maybe. Don't know if this is a good thing or bad thing BUT the number of positive cases taking a big time up tick, we jumped up by 117 new positive cases from yesterday. - - - We have been increasing daily Tuesday up 76 cases , Wedns up 94 cases - -& yesterday up 117 cases.

Now is that a good thing or bad ? - -I believe it o not thinks it might be good, could very well mean we are getting closer to the spike and then start to see a drop off - -maybe just wishful thinking but HEY got to think positive right. - - ROCK CHALK ALL DAY LONG BABY

In the hunt for another, I love how we are at least getting consideration from some guys that before they wouldn't of even bothered to answer the door when we knocked. That's Progress, now not saying we get these guys but at least it's a step in the right direction.

Read we are running for a Pro Style QB from middle Village New York has pretty good size 6'4/216 pounds. has had like 16 offers.

KU there with Arizona St , Baylor , Central Michigan , Cincinnati , Georgia Tech.

Some other offers were: Tennessee , North Texas , Purdue , Oregon , West Virginia , Kentucky.

That means there probably won't be very many true "difference makers" coming into the college game each year. You don't get Andrew Wiggins, but you do get Wayne Selden. You probably won't see much clustering of talent, either. Without truly elite guys to build around, the complimentary guys won't have much reason to flock to the same school. I think that's what we are seeing.

With the drop off in talent, I would also expect more guys to stay for two years, rather than jump after one. The guys that can jump after one probably never show up. The NBA game and college game are just so much different from a pace and structure perspective.

And if the NCAA doesn't figure this out soon, they will be a relic of the past, too.

I think also with the way things are going to play out. NOW your going to see how really has that coaching talent/being able to develop players instead of the kid just playing off sure talent - - I think we are going to be just fine.

Seems like with the type of players Coach has gotten these last two-three years, he quite possibly saw around the corner and got a jump started recruiting good quality developmental players. - -players that rom lots of room to develop. That's exactly what I don't want the world to come to. I want there to be a free and reliable press that gets their stories from sources and verifies truth before posting. No one will ever do this perfectly but there are some that try, and others whose goal is to make stuff up. Gotta be able to tell the difference.
