@Texas-Hawk-10 sounds like if a senior led team showed up in the first that wouldn’t have mattered. New nickname for this team: the Lazies, I’m rewatching the game now and we are just flat out getting out hustled to every damn rebound and lose ball. Absolutely unacceptable on all levels.

@Kcmatt7 I couldn’t watch with work but listened to bits and the final minute. We shot 22 free throws to their 6, that stat lines are pretty even outside of shooting from the floor. In which I’m hearing Hunt, KJ, Juan and Zeke missed about 5 bunnies a piece. Just not sure how much I buy into the refs costing us.
Obviously at this point it’s time to call a spade a spade. Bill Self sucks ass at roster construction, Moore, Griffen, Coit, Storr and KJ combined for 5 points and 5 rebounds. That’s maybe the most ridiculous line I’ve ever seen. All guys hand picked by Bill Self. As I’ve been saying for 2 years now KJ has no business playing 30 minutes a game and should be in a Lightfoot type role of 15-20 minutes. He played 28 today, if it was 15 we win no question.
The switching 5 defense is a J-O-K-E, yes I realize it worked in 2022. But you’re comparing apples to oranges. We had 4 guards and David McCormick was dam good at ball screen defense. None of our bigs are , the last play for them was too easy. Guard switched to a big, then draw the foul. Bill needs to take a long hard look in mirror at this point.
An absolute embarrassment to this basketball program. Piss poor coaching end of story, guys continually aren’t ready to play. No reason for a freshman like flory to be on the floor in that situation. Zero reason for KJ to get that ball in that situation, he wasn’t fouled just watch it again. Self has lost this team and we will be lucky to go .500 in this conference what a fucking joke this program has turn into the last few years.

I think the B12 is set to be pretty stacked next season but hopefully the schedule draw works next season like it was supposed to this season. Entered the year with an SOS of 102 and finished with with 21 last I saw before bowl season. ASU, KSU, ISU, BYU, TCU, Tech, Baylor and KU will all return good QBs.
I honestly think Deion is fraudulent and him not having Shilo and Travis next year will expose it.
I just love how when KSU wins the same bowl KU did last season, it’s a huge win but a toilet bowl when KU wins it. I think ksu has played in this same bowl like 8 times.

@Texas-Hawk-10 he has in the past for sure it’s just a little different this year with the amount of days between now and a game that matters.
The next question is do you play starters at all in Denver? You hate to lose this momentum you have built these last few weeks but don’t want to risk any injuries. Maybe play them for a quarter? 26 days to the divisional round that’s a long time to get rusty.

Nice to see Travis and Patrick getting back to their groove here before the playoffs. Mahomes 27/35 304 yards and 3 TDs classic line for him. Kelce 7 catches for 75 yards and a TD. Offensive line has arguably played their best game of the season today. Still a little concerned with the run game.

@drgnslayr KJ is easily my favorite player on this team but he is a big piece as to why we struggle. A hard truth is he isn’t starting at just about every other team in our conference. When I signed up to coach my son’s team, I told him he will have to work hard to be the best player at his position to play or at least start, he won’t just play because he’s my son. A coaches job is to put the best players in the right spot to win games. He should be in an extended Mitch Lightfoot type of role. It’s fine if he starts but he shouldn’t be playing more than 20 minutes on the average night. The best this team has to offer is with 4 guards from what I’ve seen.

Junior college football is super strong is this state. Butler was a power house for a decade then Garden City was really good then Independence now Hutch has been on a role. I watched Alvin Kamara running back for the saints play for them a handful of years ago.

A solid win against a playoff team. Gotta do the same thing in 4 days and then we can rest for most of 3 weeks. That game in Pittsburgh is easily the biggest game of the year now.

Looking for some defense here, this line has gave up more sacks than any other in football. Zero sacks to this point, unacceptable

Sounds like there has been a lot of tampering with players that are currently in the CFP. They really need to change the dates on the portal til after the CFP and Bowl games or make it illegal to talk to players on a team that qualified for the postseason til it’s done.

The play calling was atrocious, they tried so very hard to get the deep ball going. Which was silly because it resulted in Mahomes getting lit up every other play. Nagy has to go at this point. They need to get back to quick outs and slants with this line.
Another elite game by the defense and the offensive line finally got Mahomes hurt. At some point it has to be man up and do your job. Block the guy across from you
Big week here for chiefs, Steelers are playing the Eagles and the Bills the Lions. If the chiefs can handle the browns on the road and get wins from the Eagles and Lions they will be felling great about the #1. I think with all the injuries and starting to play 3 games in a 10 day stretch today. Getting that extra week off would be huge. The NFL that supposedly loves the chiefs, did them zero favors this schedule and an early bye week.
I think it’s hard to gauge us at home with how bad we have played on the road the last few years 3-10 in our last 13 tries. But I think we played too selfish the last two games. The ball movement was night and day better today
I think Zeke is starting to figure out his role is to score. We have to get Griffen and Storr to figure out their role with this club.

Juan looks much better not shooting it every time he touches it. 11/36 in the last two losses and today he’s scored just as many points with the 13 but isn’t throwing up guarded runners to get there 5/10 from the floor
