I listened to the New Heights podcast the other day and all the people yaking about the chiefs throwing the game has pissed off Kelce pretty hardcore. If yall remember the great playoffs he had last season after a very average regular season. It’s about to happen again I think. He has been saving himself for big games in this stage of his career. Everyone just keep talking and adding fuel to the fire. The chiefs are about ready to be rested and healthier than they been all year.
I checked the score a few times but was too tired to turn it on and get invested. Sounds like the second half went well. I’m very glad we won the KU fight cancer hero for the game was a gal I went to highschool with so that’s nice.
Looking on the bright side we are undefeated in 2025 and have an average victory of 51 points good for number 1 in the world!
@dylans if I’m not mistaken he has 4 losses by more than one score in his career and has the highest win percentage in NFL history in games he’s trailed by double digits in. You saw with Wentz how much Pat improvises to save sacks and make plays.
@nuleafjhawk I’m not sure if it was or wasn’t at this point, I suppose we will find out in a few weeks. I will say a couple things that I’m thinking are good. Since Patrick Mahomes became a starter the chiefs have played 18, yes 18 playoff games. That is a game more than an entire extra season and more than anyone else by I believe 7 games. So I think getting these 3 weeks off will be huge for their bodies personally. I highly doubt they are all laying around drinking bud light during this time frame. I’m sure they are doing some light conditioning and some practicing. To start the season no one’s says hey these guy have to remember how to play football the first few weeks before they know what they are doing again. They are professionals they don’t work at jiffy lube on Tuesdays and Thursdays to keep busy. They are all football all the time most of them even in the offseason.
After watching the Broncos beat the chiefs Sunday and act like they just won the game of the century. I really hope they beat the Bills this week. All the chiefs starters watched them run up the score and act like fools Sunday. I like the idea of Chris Jones, Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, George Karlaudas, Trent Mcduffie and co being a little extra motivated.

@SlimShaddy54 I’ll be honest with you, I think WSU would beat the brakes off of us. They just play so much harder than we do most of the time. I only watched a few of their games but guys are actually hustling after the ball and down the floor. We haven’t done that since the Dook game.
@Texas-Hawk-10 I agree with most of your assessment but Remy is so hard to compare with anyone with not only how good he was but him being hurt and missing basically 2 months in the middle of the season. I compare coaching to parenting in a lot of ways. I believe it helped me parent being a HS assistant and coaching rec league for my nieces and nephews. I can’t imagine not getting mad at one of my kids if they played with a lighter and burned my house down. Then beating one kids ass red if they spilled a glass of milk.
Hunter, KJ and Juan never get pulled for mistakes no matter if it’s major or minor. I feel like Coit and Mayo don’t get pulled unless it’s major. Now AJ, Rylan and Flory they get pulled instantly regardless of the level of mistake. I’m fine with that being the case with Flory because he’s a freshman. The other two you can’t treat like freshman because they aren’t. They have played a lot of ball at the power 5 level. They should be allowed to screw up like everyone else seems to be.
The best chance this team has is to bench KJ and start AJ/Rylan. KJ is the same exact player he was 3 years ago he’s stats are looking like this will far and away be his worst year as a starter. I love KJ and think he’s a good dude but the best players should play. Spread the floor with Mayo, Rylan and AJ. Then you have room for big Hunt to operate. I have no problem with Self trying to break the colts a little bit but at some point we have who we have and this is our best line up.
This could be a fun thread, I like it @approxinfinity. I have always enjoyed games with strategy like monopoly, Risk and Catan. Risk is probably my favorite we would play it all the time growing up with me and my 4 brothers. It got pretty intense and punches were thrown several times lol. I liked Clue when I was younger, with my kids being elementary age we play a lot of Jenga, Sorry and Mario party on the switch which is pretty much a big board game.
Im really hoping after this season the hype train that is SEC takes a little bit of a step back. All we have heard for years was the SEC was head and shoulders above everyone else. If you got 5th in the SEC you’d dominate the other power conferences with ease. Texas winners of 1 of the last 14 B12 championships makes the title game their first year and is the last SEC team standing.
@wissox I just want to get back to a bowl game. Bowl season is much more enjoyable when you are playing in it. If we could some how do that beat Mizzou and KSU. I’d be fine with a Lance statue outside the new stadium lol. On the real mizzou scares the shit outta me. That could get ugly for us.
People continue to roast Bill on Twitter/X for continuing to defend KJ and play him as much. He said the last play was drawn up for KJ (stupid). He defended KJ saying he just had a bad game and then threw Storr and Griffen under the bus. Hes gonna lose this team if he already hasn’t. If he has any coaching sense he’d start the two of them and actually let them play thru those mistakes like he does KJ, Juan and Hunt.
Sanders still holds the record! Maybe I’m biased but he’s still the GOAT at RB IMO. Jeanty hasn’t impressed me all year. 30 carries 104 yards (3.5 YPC) 0 TDs, 2 fumbles, 1 lost and took an ill advised kick outta of the end zone to get smoked at 10. He’s the fourth or fifth best RB in a power conference. I wouldn’t draft ahead of Neal, Skattabo or Giddens for that matter.
People can complain about Hunter winning the Heisman over Jeanty all they want. Jeanty against a team with a pulse after one QTR 8 carries and 20 yards. He broke away for one 12 yarder the rest 1.1 YPC. I’m sorry but give Neal that cake walk schedule and the ball 30 times a game. Bet he’s got 2,500 yards too

Every year we have ran two bigs since 2014 we have gone home in the first weekend in March. Anyone noticing a trend? Is Self starting to slip mentally? Watching parts of todays game the high low did work for a run with Flory and Hunt. It’s fine periodically but isn’t what you want to be running continuously throughout the game in 2024. There is a picture on X of KJ with the ball at the top of the key, No one within 10 feet of him. To his left Juan, no one with in ten feet of him. To his right Storr, no one with in 10 feet of him. In the corner Mayo has a guy about 6 feet off between him and the bucket. 4 WV defenders have their feet in the paint 3 of them completely surrounding Hunt. Boy Self really went and got shooter folks. I have lost all faith in our head coach friends. Any basketball coach will tell you how important spacing is on offense. Can’t have spacing when no one respects your team offensively
