That last defensive stop, we saw the KC defense was amped up. First time I saw some urgency by the defense. Now they have to do it again.

The Eagles played the 3rd weakest schedule in the NFC based on 2021 records. Some analysts say Hurts's statistics are overstated because he played against so many weak defenses. KC good.
Another milestone for this year's team: our 20 W's makes this the 34th consecutive year of 20+ W's per season. Wow. For jayblaze I looked back at our last non-20 win season. Of course it was Roy's first year in the 1988/89 season, 19-12 the season after our National Championship. KU was ineligible for the tournament because of the BS recruiting violation. I sure wish KU had fought that like Jerry Tarkanian and UNLV fought proposed sactions during the same time period. But because Coach Brown took off for the NBA and we had a very unproven head coach coming onboard, I guess KU just passively took that suspension. What's that jayblaze, you ask "what team has the second longest 20+ winning seasons?" Maybe someone will get back to us on that.
Andy is going to have some new, inventive plays cooked up for his old team. I still can't get that ring-around-the-rosie huddle play out of my mind. Was that a hoot or what? It happened so fast and unexpectedly, no one had time to figure out who acted as QB, etc. I can't wait for Andy's creative mind to impress me today and hopefully flabbergast the Eagles for an easy KC score. Go Chiefs!
Perfect Saturday: KU wins big and Kentucky loses. Now, it the Chiefs can just get the W, it will be a perfect weekend.
KU only shot 10 3s and made 5. Is that enough 3s? I watched at a sports bar, so I didn't/couldn't pay attention to OU's defense. Why so few 3s?
The only team I root against getting into the Tourny is Kentucky. So I do check in on their games and hope for big fat Ls. The rest of the Tourny field I just watch with interest on one of the greatest Sunday evenings in college basketball. I have a love/hate relationship with KU as a #1 seed. I really hate the 1 vs. 16 matchup and can't breathe until KU has a decent lead. RC

@BShark What do you think of Juan's set shot on some 3s? I believe the more a player sticks with the same shooting motion, the more likely of success. Juan switches from jump shot to set shot and I wonder if that reduces his success. And, I've seen better form on set shots if that's the way he and the coaching staff want him to shoot.
Big game today: KU is only .500 against ranked teams this year (4 wins-4 losses) and is 4 wins/3 losses in road games. Caleb Grill came back from injury to score 8 3s against TxTech on Monday, so KU might want to guard him beyond the arc. When will Gradey get his stroke/scoring back? Today, I hope. Re: Fran, I don't listen to the announcers much. Most of the game, I have sound on mute because they say the same stuff every game.
Does this sound right today: TCU at OSU with OSU favored by 4 and TX at KState and TX favored by 1.5? I would have handicapped both games just the opposite.

OK, I now take back all my criticism and bad language about Butker. A couple of games ago, I was calling for him to be replaced, benched, left at the away game stadium, anything. Now he has fully redeemed himself. Super Bowl bound.
KU loses out on some long rebounds on the offensive end because our guards are already cheating down court on defense before the frogs even have the ball
Well after the Tuesday fiasco where only 3 players decided to try to score and two of them were fouled out by the refs, I sure hope all our starters look to score and KU gets some help from the bench. In OT, it was Wilson against all 5 Cats. Jeez. I like that when Gradey's 3 isn't falling, he finds other ways to try to score. Juan and Kevin have got to score some points today.

I've been waiting all year for a bench player to step up and contribute. And for the player or players to contribute regularly and steadily game after game. How far can KU go without a sixth man, like Championship Remy last year? The Iowa St game shows how KU will struggle on offense when two starters are having off games. I thought Clemence helped out on offense in the first half; at least he looks to score. Clemence is an option on offense the few minutes he plays in every third game or so. I don't think he even played in the second half. Bench players were in the game for 35 minutes Saturday and only took 2 shots and according to ESPN didn't record a single rebound. Does Coach Self have any chance of developing a sixth man this year?
In 19 minutes, Bobby took no shots, scored no pts, had one assist, one steal and one TO. Not nearly enough for the opportunity he was given. Bench players must contribute or they stay on the bench.
KJ's winning bucket was gutsy. KJ shows me more and more each game. Where would this team be without KJ?

Eric-san are you old enough to remember when games were only broadcast on the radio? Clear into the middle '80's I listened to Max and Bob call the games. Yes, ESPN+ is the armpit of video broadcasts, but I'm content to live with it for now. It will get better; eventually, we will experience the games in some sort of 3d holographic projection manner where we feel like we are present at the game.
Let's play this game like the Mayor, Fred Hoiberg is still coaching. I want to see the Iowa St fans cry when KU beats them.
It will be beneficial for this KU team to lose couple of games, prefer on the road, blowouts, for coaches to use as teaching moments and get players grounded a bit.
Bite your tongue; saw off your fingers. KU never needs to lose a game to improve. I say win them all and win them by double digits. My heart just can't take 10 minutes of game time with no points.
What does the OU game mean for Zach? He helps on offense; he scored half of our 3s. But, in 12 minutes he only had 3 rbs. and was a turnstile on defense. After 16 games, Coach Self still hasn't found his backup 5.
