@jayballer73 he sucks
I did it within minutes of the initial posting. Some tough ones this time...
Looks like Donovan Williams gave up on hoping for a KU offer that wasn't coming.

Was popping on to post this. If Silvio were to go, this would be my first call.

Impressive tape.
He is the wildcard to next years team offensively. You add that type of size, athleticism, shooting & skill and he has a great chance to impact the team despite his JUCO label. He has skills that translate no matter where he's playing. The rebounding, ball handling skills & rim protection were some things I hadn't seen in his other film or live games. Definitely a talent.
I like his ability to get to the hoop. Whew.
But as you mentioned the stuff near the end of the video is why he will get playing time imo. Flying in for blocks and aggressively fighting for rebounds. If that is consistent he will find the floor.
Looking into this more Baric's research credits Doctors Xing-Yi Ge and Zhengli-Li. Microbiology and immunology researchers working at Wuhan Institute for Science and Technology. Certainly very curious.

I can't even fathom using a public bathroom right now.

@jayballer73 I don't have a problem with taking something from China. The donation came from Jack Ma and the owner of the Nets. Why would we not accept a private donation of ventillators? Good on them to make it happen.
The problem is that we even NEEDED someone to donate them. We weren't prepared. We should not be dependant internationally for ventillators.
Well, then you run into this problem of how much excess of any medical supply do we need to be prepared for a situation. Because normally I would have to think a large number of ventilators aren't even being used. So how do you justify the cost of making a bunch more that won't be used (before covid). Do you then do this for all medical equipment? Idk.
In general we were ill-prepared for a viral pandemic despite epidemiologists harping on this for awhile now.

Honestly I don’t think we need a single transfer. They only way would be if Silvio transfers and you want another big guy. We are set at guard and big guys with our current roster
With the Robbins kid I am interested if he is a sit out transfer. We lose Mitch and Silvio after next season for sure and don't seem to be on any decent post players in the 21 class. I'm sure Self will find a way regardless because you can't afford to have one decent post player (Dave) on the roster.
I tend to agree that we don't need anyone else for next season.

Same. Looks good.
@jayballer73 in my experience other stores have been much less crowded than walmart.
I've watched YouTube videos about how bad info and conspiracies spread and I'm guessing this is similar. I'll see if it's available on prime video cause that's what I have.

@BShark Bill and staff are having to work at it. They’ve been pretty darn good at identifying under the radar talent. Unfortunately that’s going to have to continue as the top recruits aren’t beating the doors down right now.
Agree. We were lucky with Bryce but the rest of the last two classes Self has had to fall back on his talent evaluation. The good news is, I think he is still pretty good at it. Braun has surprised early. I like what I see from Tristan if he can figure things out. I'm not too sure about Gethro and Jossell but they are end of the roster filler for now.
If offers are any indication 21 isn't going to be any different. Outside of Tamar Bates (who I really like) I'm not sure who we have a good chance at. Would love Tchikou but there is no way that happens. I know Kendall Brown likes Kansas a lot but if it comes down to money :man_shrugging:

That's his pinned tweet, still early but he does play for Adidas AAU.
We sure stand out on his offer sheet...
@approxinfinity good luck getting an n95 mask with now.
@Crimsonorblue22 the virus or colleges losing money? Almost everyone is losing money right now.
@Woodrow said in 2020 Transfer List:
@Crimsonorblue22 Who knows. Just odd that he would commit that fast and then back out of it. Maybe they are looking st someone else and backed away from him.
This is my guess.
@jayballer73 per 40 numbers are what his numbers extrapolate to if he were to play all 40 minutes a game. He is below average on offense which is a concern but is an elite shot blocker and good team defender.
I think he has a role but it is one best served playing 10-15 minutes a game.
Hate to see it...

Iowa State needs some players pretty badly. He could be "the guy" there.
I am clearly above making any jokes about that subject matter.
If you can't score at Stony Brook you might be a stiff...
Glove gonna glove.
@kjayhawks the good ones are few and far between but do exist. I talk to one (a state level congressman from another state) and it's hard to stay positive when you see the corruption directly.
lol
When I look at Mitch's per 40 numbers I find it hard to believe he is suddenly going to produce on offense.
@Crimsonorblue22 looking at them in a whole, his fouls actually aren't that big of an issue. Of course it's easy to remember the absurd moments because they stick out.
Went ahead and participated this round.
@dylans said in Tyon Grant Foster commits to KU:
I don’t think two bigs will be a big part of the plan, but I’ll bet Mitch plays the 4 next to Dave several minutes a game...assuming there’s basketball next season.
I'm thinking there will be. The worst is still coming, but we should be on the downtick by then...

It's like these airline companies whining when if they didn't do shady bullshit to inflate their stock and actually kept some capital on hand they would be able to get through this just fine.
@KirkIsMyHinrich That was a FF caliber match-up. Sooooo much NBA talent on both squads. NBA players coming off the bench for Arizona. Not sure how they had 9 losses... Certainly a different time in college hoops.
@approxinfinity said in 2nd round of the GOAT tournament Part 2:
@BShark does anyone have a link to a good raef highlight video at Kansas? My wife swears he was a badass with mad hops before injuries slowed him down.
Unfortunately footage from that far back isn't as readily available. He was great though. I'm still salty about the Arizona loss. It's up there on the all time list for me with Maryland.
I remember LaFrentz well. I might have slandered him a bit when arguing about Mook going into the rafters.
This is beyond stupid. Fire Jeff Long.

@FarmerJayhawk said in Tyon Grant Foster commits to KU:
Not sure who starts but I think we play 4 smalls most of the time. Really we don’t have two bigs capable of playing starter minutes unless Silvio figures out how to basketball.
Yeah and then the entire math changes if you want to go two bigs because you need capable back-ups as well.
Just look at 2008. Sasha was the third big and got over 700 minutes. Cole in a reserve role got over 300 minutes and about 8 a game (appearing in every game, too). I look at next years roster and I don't see how you make something like that work. Two bigs just can't happen.
Townsend had this to say...
“A great, long wing that can score and pass. Good shooter. The NBA is already looking at him if that tells you anything. He is that good of a player. He’s the No. 1 junior college player in the country. I think he will come in and be an impact guy from Day 1, but a long, athletic wing that can shoot it. Jerrance Howard did an unbelievable job recruiting him and then obviously because his family is right here in Kansas City, they’ll get to see him play, which was, you know, real helpful and a real plus for us.”

Looks like Bill was ahead of the curve on Isaiah Barnes. Offers flowing in now TCU, Iowa, Maryland. Iowa, Illinois, KU and Maryland expected to get OVs.
Basically all signess unranked but that is to be expected when you gotta get in a bunch of guys late in the game.
